Gong is an exemplary man
Amen. Many years ago our Family faced the trial of a serious illness that came upon me. It effected all of us but we rested on the promise of a powerful blessing. It was hard for me to see their pain, but we believed the Lord would guide and help us THROUGH the experience. We adopted 2 creeds First. The powerful word "Believe", and second, 4 words of the Savior to Joseph while in the Liberty jail. "...Hold on thy way..." Life, Like some trials can seem daunting and at times hopeless. But life, trials, and eternity can be managed one day, one hour, one moment at a time. Because some days, all you can do is to Believe, and Hold On Thy Way.
Looking forward to that brightest of all mornings-that Great Millennial Morning where Christ will reign upon the Earth!

I needed this. In med school, and just was really overwhelmed, and everyone seemed to know more, recalling things from a massive class last year. After this I forced myself to go back and study again, and found I'd missed a video with all the info my peers were spouting. I'm not stupid, I'm alright, I can hope. I'm going to try. HF said 'stay for the next video' and now I can breathe again. Thank you. It's been a lot, and I was starting to slide down the darker paths of leaving life early. It'll be alright. /grateful-vent

I just realized. If I have to work on a Sunday what will I do about church? I hope this doesn’t happen.
Who here can save my soul. I challenge anyone to a verbal discussion. If you believe what you say you do, show me. What good is it, my brothers, if someone claims to have faith but has no actions to prove it? Is such “faith” able to save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food, 16 and someone says to him, “Shalom! Keep warm and eat hearty!” without giving him what he needs, what good does it do? Thus, faith by itself, unaccompanied by actions, is dead.
But someone will say that you have faith and I have actions. Show me this faith of yours without the actions, and I will show you my faith by my actions! You believe that “God is one”? Good for you! The demons believe it too - the thought makes them shudder with fear! ||| Who among all of you?
Another example where it implies (or outright states) that we talk to the Savior yet we teach Prayer only to God/Heavenly Father. Is this a vague instruction on how we communicate with Jesus? - this is not meant in any negative way. I’m trying to understand the instruction to only Pray to the Father but there are always undertones of referenced communication with the Savior as well.

This message was for me this morning. I've been inspired with an idea that I feel completely inadequate of doing, but the feeling was so powerful, I knew where it was coming from. The next day I felt hopeless and depressed. I knew where that feeling was coming from and because it was so strong, I realized that the opposition was trying to stop this before it even began. With prayers from many, I felt recharged and have begun to take the steps necessary to bringing this idea to fruition. Faith precedes the miracle. :)

Yup! We all struggle, but with Heavenly Father's help we can get through anything. Just keep taking steps. Everyone hits a wrong note on the piano, but instead of smashing all the keys, shouting, and walking away... we stay seated and take it one note at a time. When we stick with the gospel, we'll make it through life's challenges. Just keep taking steps and be patient enough to take each step as it comes, not expecting instant perfection! :)

I understand. I have Agent Orange from the Vietnam War which gives me pain every waking moment, and I live alone. So my pain is physical and mental so I understand what pain is. But I also have Jesus Christ in my life and I have the Melchizedek priesthood. So it helps me through things that I can't handle myself.

I wish people would go into more detail of what they are going through. When I hear someone say "Just pray and he will answer" it has so little meaning to me. But if they talk about what happened to them, what they prayed about and how they heard the answer, that means a lot to me. It seems so rare when I hear stories like that. It makes me feel like what I am going through is too different to merit any help.
EPIC SWAG everyone’s situation is different and the answers and way they’re received is different. I’ve had many situations that were very difficult including a serious car accident and my husband committing suicide to name a couple. I prayed for comfort, I prayed for things I needed help with that I couldn’t do on my own, I prayed for answers, I prayed to feel the Saviors love with me or help from angels. The answers came from scripture passages I came across in my reading, from others who were prompted to do things, from feelings I got or answers that came to my mind. Some of the experiences are sacred and personal to me so I don’t share. Some answers or recognition of Gods hand in my life only became apparent after 20 years. Sometimes the answers are there but we are too busy looking for a different answer that we don’t see what God wants us to really see. Instead of waiting for answers maybe we should be searching to see them. Everyone is within His reach. Learn how YOU hear Him and be patient. Answers are there and will be there. Best wishes to you!
Epic- I think the reason people do not put that information out there is because they are afraid of ridicule. To them at the time the problem was insurmountable, yet after they prayed, the answer came and it seemed to easy.

Please pray for my aunt, she just recovered from cancer months ago and now I heard she may have it again. I never knew who God was until I met her and her family when I was young, please pray for her.
I will pray for your aunt! I know that your feelings and your prayers matter to the Lord. He will answer your prayers and comfort your fears. I know He cares for you and for all of us! Keep seeking Him and never turn away from Him. He knows all things and knows what is best for each of us. He can help even hard things turn into blessings for many! It sounds like your aunt is a very special person to you and that she has influenced your life greatly! He is definitely in the details of our lives! He knows our daily needs, desires, and even the situations that we are in every hour. He is involved in everything relating to your aunt and her situation. He has a plan for each of us, and He will help you through whatever happens. He will guide you back to Him! Keep the faith! Keep your face towards the light of the Gospel, which is Christ's Church here on earth! He will see you through!

Faith helps us every day and way. I know that sometimes, my faith in Heavenly Father is the only thing holding me together.
I can’t even begin to understand the love ❤️ of the Savior. He laid his life for us all, how can we not know his mercies endure forever. He lights our path in the darkness and he guides us to a place of safety. I am a child of God.
I have struggled with my testimony for many years. But I always strive to keep believing and have faith.

I have never felt so much surrounding darkness before in my entire life. We are counciled to live by faith, not by fear, but with this Covid19, it's not easy.
I know how you feel! The best answer I can offer right now is stay on the Lord's team, and come what may, you will be blessed.

But like the painting in this video, keep turned toward the "campfire" (i.e. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) and you will continue to feel the light of Jesus Christ, even amidst the darkness. As you immerse yourself in His words, and the words of the living prophets, you will feel His love and His peace. I am glad to hear those people’ stories and that they received an answer to their heart’s prayers. But speaking of personal experience, sometimes I do put God first and he doesn’t take care of the rest for me and that hurts!
I know, and that can be hard. All I can say is take things one step at a time, and listen. Listen to yourself, your needs, and the Holy Ghost. Keep going and keep trying. I find that things often look different when we take a step back, and I promise that you are exactly where you need to be, and you are learning what you need to learn. Have faith, have hope, and keep going. You can do this!

We have hard times sometimes. Keep your relationship with God strong by praying sincerely every day. Study scripture daily. Yes, they're the standard "Sunday School" answers, but there's a reason for that; they really are important. Hang in there.
When my cup is empty I spend extra time in the Book of Mormon and reading Conference Talks. Only God can fill our cup during times of stress through His scriptures and His prophets. Fill yourself with His Words and it will give you HIS peace. God bless you.
