Some of the highlights are the highly anticipated new cloud technology, new piston engine propeller technology and a wide array of new features for the Hornet and Viper. I have a 3080 and a 10900k even with everything at max the game does not look like this in its current state and will regularly stutter

I'm 30 and I play games, competitive or non mmo's fps and every kind of stuff, 22 years now. I've been into sim and dcs the last 5 months. I have to tell you I haven't been so excited for a product in my whole life. Thanks for this feeling. Thanks for this good community you provide and you have built. Thanks for hard work. Thanks for everything.
If you haven't done it yet I strongly advise you invest in an HP reverb VR headset. You will not regret it

I have a Reverb and a brand new 3080 rig from Digitalstorm I got a week ago; amazing. Not flawless, but wow I can see almost as far as 4K for VID’s!
To the OP’s point as well, I agree, I play other games too and DCS gives me that excitement in my belly like no other game does these days. Nice job ED!
@@yamabushi170 Indeed... I was looking for reverb but in these 4-5 months I invested in warthog, trackir, f16,fa18,m2k,f14,supercarrier... ED knows how to make my wallet scream. Happy flights people!
Fact: DCS trailers are like strip clubs for aviation geeks. We sit here while they peek out some on our laps, then we throw our money at them.

While its a killer video, it would be a bit misleading. The game def does not look THAT good. It gets close in model sometimes but that video is vastly superior than the real game.

So I was flying a long haul flight in MSFS and checking youtube. Saw this trailer. "Ok I need this in my life." Now a happy owner of an F18 and and watching all the tutorials about the game. It is amazing.
MSFS is a great stepping stone into DCS. :)

Is he the one who made the video? Anyway, to answer your question: even on a toaster, you can export maximum-quality video in any resolution you wish using the Record Avi feature of the replay editor.
@@DimitriTorterat Yes, he has been making the DCS trailers for quite a while now. Never heard of a replay editor, but good to know, I'll look into it, thanks!
@@mhe0815 Oops, I mean, the Mission Editor! On the main menu there is a Replay feature, it allows you to load a replay in the Mission Editor, and then you may run the replay or Record Avi. It will start a replay, playing it frame by frame, and save them as PNG files or an AVI. Since it records frame by frame, you can change your graphics settings and put everything at maximum quality!
@@mhe0815 He probably is using post processing software as well for color balancing and such. It is an art and he is a master of his craft.
@@brittoncooke1890 You can see in many trailers that it is said that no video post processing has been done to the video, only the audio has been altered by recording it separately and tweaked to sync with the video.
Whoever picks the music for your trailers, give that person a medal!

Graphics look unreal! Absolutely gorgeous. I am waiting for Dassault Rafale, Eurofighter Typhoon, Saab Gripen, Su-30 MKI/MKM to be added officially.

Im very excited, just ordered my HOTAS setup and have had my VR headset for a couple weeks now. i know its gonna be a steep learning curve but im willing to put the time in, this game looks so good, congratulations ED

Great job ED. 2.7 has really transformed DCS. The new clouds are on par with MSFS, which I hope we all recognize is what sped up the advancements in other sims. And that's great - we need competition. I'm now waiting for less cartoonish and more realistic terrains/maps, better effects such as bullets splashing in the water or smoke from burning vehicles which should be thicker and 100x taller, etc.
This game keeps getting better and better, and it is awesome how once you buy a module, all future updates for that module are included. Thank you Eagle Dynamics for continuing to push the envelope on what is possible in a flight sim and for building the best flight sim community in the world.
