- All of us at Eagle Dynamics thank you for your incredible support and commitment in 2023 and wish you and your loved ones health, happiness and prosperity in 2024. Happy New Year!
2023 was an important year for DCS. Many issues such as performance were addressed with the launch of multithreading and DLSS/FSR. Efforts will continue into 2024 with further tuning and enhancements, especially in VR. This week we look toward 2024, safe in the knowledge that there are great things to come. !
This coming year will see the continued development and release of many exciting aircraft and maps from Eagle Dynamics. Highlights include the announcement of the MiG-29A Fulcrum, Afghanistan and Iraq maps, and continued work on the CH-47F, Hellcat/USS Enterprise, and the Marianas World War II map. Please see our 2024 module development roadmap: www.digitalcom....
Thank you for your passion and support and best wishes for 2024.

Who ever does the cinematics needs a raise. Hands down the best Ive personally seen.
The sound track is stellar.
100% stunning every year
This is excellent, but I'm sticking with the "DCS: F-14 - Pre-Order" trailer. "Vampire vampire vampire!"
I think it's XStounds
So you know how much s/he currently earns? 😉
Fulcrum jet in full fidelity for 2024, that's awesome

After discovering DCS back in 2020 and not having enough resources to run it, I finally started playing it in 2023. It will be almost an entire year of enjoying this amazing simulator and its modules. All I can express is my gratitude towards ED for caring so much about the community, and the products you guys make. Digital Combat Simulator never ceases to amaze me, and it just gets better and better each year. Thank you once again, ED, and keep up the good work!
We are so happy you are with us now and enjoying DCS. Thank you for all the support! -NineLine/Norm
It's a wild ride that only gets more wild!
i used to play all sorts of PC Strategy games. hated sims. I first gave DCS a shot in May 2019 and haven't played any other game since. It was - and is- an amazing experience Because of the fidelity and realism.
The beauty of DCS is that the title doesn't imply that it restricts the experience to air units only.
It would be next level to have contemporary, playable ARMA / Squad / Operation Harshdoorstop like ground troops and special teams with the modern gear and capabilities, bearing the same attention to detail that went into the awesome warplanes of differing eras in-game.
😮 🏆
@@shapecharge4091 highly doubt they are worried about the first person shooter experience but they have mentioned that they are working on ground units for DCSDC. Can't wait to see their work on that.
Chinook, Corsair, Intruder, Fulcrum-A, PHANTOM, and a new map! DCS keeps getting better and better and the incredible community grows - thank you Eagle Dynamics - 2024 is going to rock!
They seemed to have teased a bit of ground forces. I really really hope there's a combined arms update. It's fun but it also needs rework badly.
Not expecting you here, couldn't tell if it was an F-8 or A-7 lol
@@memelephant either would be great - I just guessed A-7. I fly DCS quite a bit, currently learning the Hornet 🐝

Mig 23 was also there.
Not a single year comes to disappointment for DCS trailers. Whoever did these, you deserve a raise, excellent job.
That Fulcrum is going to be huge for the sim!! I’m most excited for the logistics aircraft honestly.
yeah honestly can't wait the for c-130 and chinook!!!

@@Turboy65you mean to make them not work half the time? 😅
Fulcrum-A is all I have ever wanted in DCS. Thank you ED for all your hard work.
My hype has exceeding existing parameters.
How is the MiG-29A different from other modifications?
So, the G variant was for the german military before the reunification, and the S variant is a slightly more modern with diffrent missiles and an slightly better radar@@texnik_240
@@texnik_240 Technically it is the first production version. But I play almost exclusively cold war stuff so the early one is all I want, and we do not have any full fidelity MiG-29s in the sim.
MFDs and Fox-3s suck the fun out of flying in a sim. If it was real life I would be glad to have them I am sure.
Fulcrum is already in the game.
I was 14 when DCS became more than a trailer. I remember it being the coolest thing i could think of. I've spent years watching it grow and develop. Each year adding new sparkles to my imagination. This year was the first I've played, and its everything i could have asked for, and more. Thank you ED. I look forward to enjoying this new year with you and your community!

And IRAQ! 😀
Thank you to the entire team of Eagle Dynamics! Looking forward to a great year!
Iraq will be amazingly paired with Syria, Persian Gulf, and Sinai. I’m personally more excited for the Corsair
Agree on all accounts!
Been looking forward to the Corsair for quite some time now, a beautiful airplane with amazing performance. It'll be some serious fun once the rest of the PTO gets some more airplanes and ground units 🙂

I’m a third year aerospace engineering student, and a new DCS player, and I want to thank you all at ED for the work you’ve done. DCS has inspired me to really dive deep into the world of aviation and different aircraft, and gives me a newfound passion for what I’ll soon be engineering :)
I'm a former Naval Aviator..... Does that make my opinion more relevant?
Dear Sir, aviation is bug that just keeps on giving. It has owned a piece of my heart since I first flew aerobatics with my father at 8 in a Stampe. I am 61 now and it keeps me feeling that young and starry eyed... Thank you for your kind words. Happy 2024 and Beyond. Nick
Epic! Can’t wait for the Fulcrum!
Hazzah, all those Fulcrum shots being teased recently...I knew it was being teased as a full fidelity module. Iraq as a new map, and so much more. Outstanding stuff.
LoL, you called it and I noticied it as well! Glad to see suspicions are validated!
So many new goodies! I always wanted to make a Desert Storm campaign, looks like it will finally happen. And the PTO will open up so many new possibilities as well...thank you for continuously expanding this wonderful world of study level simulation!
So going to enjoy your campaign, Viper if I remember correctly ?
I would pay very good money for a multi-aircraft series of Desert Storm missions.
a gold mine of missions and stories!
@@_Zaidwas about to reply the same comment. A Desert Storm campaign where mission 1 puts you in the Apache to punch a hole in the radar coverage then switching to the strike aircraft that followed would be phenomenal. Is that possible in DCS @ReflectedSimulations?
You are an amazing asset to DCS yourself with your dedication to historical accuracy which gives players of the sim a real sense of achievement and a Windows into what it would have been like to fly these machines ! I wish you continued success 🤙
The logistics gamepaly loop is going to open so many doors for this game! Awesome work
where can we find more info on this?
Well it already is in a lot of servers. You won't see it if all you play is 4YA but there's already a lot of servers that require C130's and helos to bring supplies and ammo to different airfields and you can use those same helos and the hercules to bring different forces to the front lines and either air drop them in or land and have them move to a point. It's nothing new, it's just going to be better with more full fidelity modules
I am proud to be part of the community as a casual player. I only started out because I was recommended a video on how to DCS without a HOTAS. I am playing on controller and its FIRE!
Man, this is gonna be a great year for DCS. Thanks for all you do, ED!

@@Praxics0815But who knows? Maybe it will be the next upcoming module!😃
@@frostfive3991 probably, if a pacific theatre is under development, we'll have flyable zero at some point
I am happy for the Zero, but I fear it will be the I-16 all over again. Great plane but it has nothing to play with. Yes, some enjoy flying their I-16 versus people in Fw-190 or Bf-109 but I am not that masochistic.
I’ve spent so long studying the war in the pacific and playing DCS. Seeing a ww2 carrier and Corsair with possible pacific theatre missions and battles is just incredible. Thx for showing some love for this it’s dream come true. It deserves a recreation only DCS could do justice too
I saw the F6F Hellcat and F4U Corsair in this video, as well as some IJN cruisers (I think). And I’m pretty sure I saw a Yorktown-class carrier.
I wish they would give us a Midway Map from June 1942, with about a 400nm radius of ocean around it…or the islands in the middle of an 800x800nm map.
And then 2 or 3 destroyer classes, 3 or 4 cruiser classes and a few battleship classes on each side, as well as the Yorktown and Essex class carriers and the 4 IJN carriers at the battle of Midway. And then the F4F-4 Wildcat, TBD Devastator, SBD Dauntless (all flyable) and PBY-5 Catalina. And the IJN carrier aircraft of the time. The missions could be an historical one and then all sorts of what if missions as we create them in ME. AI search planes will have to send position info via code over radio to the CICs of the ships. And then AI strike packages launched. Would also like to see a version of Supercarrier called Task Force, in which planes are realistically spotted on flight deck and hangar deck of the carriers in real time. Also, the whole task force operated realistically, with fuel and ammo tracked and much more detailed and realistic damage models. I know that will take 5+ years, though.
a "recreation" without Japanese planes. I don't grasp the concept.
@@christophed4579I settle for hellcat and Corsair with Essex class CV. If they make a few IJn ships and AI zero (any version) you can at least do something
@@gwalker3092 yes, something.
It's like buying a Ferrari and driving at 60 km/h.
This beautiful technology, those marvellous 3d models just for ending in "air-quaking" with non-sensical planesets.
@@christophed4579 I agree theres no sense or direction of the planes that are released and maps it’s what various devs decide to do and players have to cobble it together best they can. I’m always trying be positive and make the best I can from DCS. Everybody has their own ideas and favourite planes and eras. I’ve always been interested in navy and aviation and as such the war in the pacific is especially interesting from so many aspects. In the perfect world you’ll have a whole campaign across with pacific with IJN and USN forces (ships/aircraft) but will never happen so I be happy to have some assets however limited. It’s easy to complain and I understand the work it takes to develop full fidelity aircraft.
I have only recently found DCS after starting msfs. I will never play another game than this. I’m hooked. 🇬🇧🙌

I know this is a longshot, but I really wish we can have a DLC where the pilots can be on the ground interacting with air crew and ground engineers, and then we go in the plane with a special animation. Would make the sim so much more immersive than it already is
I wish there was an FPS combat part to the sim so you could have actual ground battles and have real air support covering them (I know part of this is already possible).
Honestly I just now got into carrier ops with the supercarrier and the immersion of seeing actual crew running around on deck makes me wish the would do a proper ground for airfields as well. I would pay for that.
Hopefully its only going to be a matter of time till they start moving in that direction
