Pulse Pounding Cave of the Massive Action!!! A little bit of rabies check, a little green Dilo goo in the eye check, a bit of spider webbing check a bit of scorpion poison check, sounds like a typical trip through a cave to me. You know Phlinger we should probably be thankful that unlike IRL caves that the walls and floors aren’t all covered in guano. That could make for a poor footing very messy situation. 😂

If you want to get all the loot without having to craft hundreds of hooks, you can use a terror bird.
Their jump ability is really good for this cave. However, they have to be imprinted.
Good morning Phlinger! I pray you and and your family are well! This is one of those episodes that I must applaud you. I can honestly say you are the one who helped me get over my fear of solo caving. It is no exaggeration it was a FEAR. Time and time again you have shown us: It is important to get to know each cave and its pitfalls. Which dino is best suited for it and the challenges therein. It is funny. I have that cave, in ASA, marked as crystal cave because it is a great source for crystal. I renamed it The Bat Cave (60's Bat Man Theme Playing). I totally agree the bary is the way to go. I also started mid last year, carrying and actually using grapples and shotguns. It is so wise, as you have shown, to draw the onyc to you. I have been pushed up against the wall and a few times meshed inside one. Not good, not good at all! I must have said "it is stupid crazy filled with onyc" a dozen times. I am thankful, unlike many other videos, you show an honest walk through and authentic presentation of the cave and its dangers. It is very frustrating when someone, clearly in god mode, or whatever mode, making the cave seem SO simple. Again Phlinger, TY for your integrity, kindness, humor, and quite frankly the grace you give to us all. God bless you!
Shotgunned the whole 44 series waiting for the 45th. Phlinger's energy level is amazing. Consistently ebullient throughout. On 1x or 2x he sounds on fire the whole time. Great way to capture that first day energy in everything you do.
The map knowledge is on point as well as the Science! for ASA changes. Learned new things about the Island map even after years of playing in ASE.
If you consider the crypod changes, you can always just turn on the saddle setting. That gives you a reason to have platform saddle creatures on hand. Do note that dead babies and unclaimed dinos count as enemy players to prevent crypod release. Even that Ichthy corpse that landed in the grass and nobody can seem to harvest.

Hey Phlinger, Happy new year my friend. I'm not sure if you know but when you're using a barry and it's injured, if you go and kill a few fish it will heal it completely! Force feeding it fish to heal is way slower.

You can run all caves either bares. It's a chunky not a height thing apparently lol
The Oviraptor get tamed better the better the egg quality, Phlinger. 4 Rex eggs should get you a good high level one!
I know this is really late for a comment, but... Have you ever tried to do the caves or any cave in a velonasaur? The jump, the shoot, the hit hard, and they are small in stature.

I've been using Dodo eggs to tame low-level Oviraptors.
Get some dodes and they will have enought eggs to get a level 20 in no time that's all you need bring the rapter back to your place thats what I did so I would not have to wait on it just a idear
Having ran this cave three times already & not bringing any grappling hooks, I have a nice imprinted Direwolf that does just fine. I have 600hp on my survivor, so mega rabies don't bother me as much, I just bring food & rare mushrooms to help out.
What are the mushrooms 🍄 for?
@bothetinman772 They are for bringing all the enemies to me in the artifact area, mainly. It's great when there are no surprises by the artifact.
Phlinger - on 4 times taming speed (which I think you're using) you can tame a 150 oviraptor with one rex egg.
I think he always uses x3

You can take Baryonyx in that cave, makes fighting the bats tons easier

What is the setting for single player to not have the cryofridge limit on deployment?
How do you get it to display the full names of the items your harvesting on left side of screen?
4:40 what setting is that? Is that available for single player not on a server?
