If you go in without any armor except the gas mask, the arthro don't break the mask.

Most important you enter there NAKED with just a gas mask. If you wear armor your gas mask will be broken together with armor once you meet arthropluera. Wear armor only when you collecting loot and you not sure you kill everything then remove it when going back to fight. Single spider/bug/snake can 1 shot you without armor when you on foot so be aware.
Yep! that and some med brew ;)
also, better to enter with a frog and a swarm of dimorphs. that way, you are safe, plus you gather a lot of cementing paste

Thylacoleos in the Redwoods are the one critter that intimidates me there anymore. I just seem unable to master the knack of spotting them in the trees.
Back in ASE, just by using a scuba tank you could go into the cave as if it were a gas mask. Did the cave a few weeks ago and tried this old method but I found out that it didn’t work, now only gas masks work! My recommendation is to bring at least three gas masks since Arthro’s exist.
You can also do it with ghilie chest, arms, and the scuba mask, leggings, and flippers and you won’t take damage. Plus, nothing degrades over time like the gas mask…

My base is near the water. I set a baryonyx on aggressive and let it go nuts on the fish and trilobites. Periodically check it for a constant source of fish meat, oil, silica pearls, chitin, and black pearls.
That's brilliant! I feel like dummy for never thinking of something like that. I want to do it with all my "guard dog" creatures. I'll never need to hunt again. Haha!
Until it run off and gets unalived! Good idea if you had a Dino leash tho! Dinos load in before structures so eventually he’ll get lost and find something to powerful for it!
@YeaDatDrill Will creatures run away on aggresive even if I have them follow a passive creature as a "leash"?
@@YeaDatDrill They don’t usually die if you have a good Baryonyx. Where I am I have behemoth gates sectioning off a water pin and he rarely goes around the the other side as fish quickly respawn. They may get overburdened from eating too much.
I think that Kermit will be good to farm some cementing paste in this cave next time.
I like taking several frogs to get cp out off that cave.

This was my favorit cave in ASE, but that was with the megatheriums... Haven't tested if they still fit... 😅

Does anyone know if you can clear the cave on the barry without cryoing it? Sorry if it was mentioned in the video.
I've never done anything on public servers, it's always only been my brother and I on a game with me as a host meaning he was always tethered to me. I'm wondering, on a public non-PvP server, is there a way that you could build a structure (specifically a respawn shack) and make it so anyone, even those not in your tribe, could use it whenever they want to go into a cave. Is it possible to set a bed so that anyone can claim it while they're doing the cave, then unclaim it so the next person doing the cave can use it? Maybe set up a shack with several beds so groups can co-op the cave? That's the type of thing I would be inclined to do if I were on a public server. I definitely wouldn't be interested in a PvP server. Not my style of gameplay.

The cave hasn’t changed enough from ase to asa, you would still do it the same way. So, an ase tutorial would be a good resource for you. Plus, he showed everything you need to know about the cave to accomplish it.
