I got a superheat 2min after I spawned in after spending 45m downloading the map. Then back to back sandstorms. I spent 90% of my first few hours in the map in a deathloop from the heat or standing around doing nothing. Can't wait for a mod to remove those weather events, they suck the fun out of it.
I need help surviving longer than 45 seconds. I can make dessert cloth and have fortitude up to 40 but still cant make it past 45 seconds of life and that's not long enough to gather enough resources to build a bed or small shelter except one piece at a time and then randomly respawning and trying to find where I just died to get the resources back. And even then, the small house I build doesn't protect from the heat... at all. Is there a way to decrease the frequency of heat waves? It seems that all day long its excessive heat and never cools down. I watch your videos for tips but you dont seem to have permanent heat waves bogging you down.
use a thatch house and a cloth armor then upgrade to adobe house and desert cloth armor, never use a wooden house or hide armor. always carry a tent with you. the higher you go, the hotter it gets, the lower (in height) you go the cooler the temp, I usually don't upgrade my fortitude past 10.0 in any map including scorched also hitting a cactus give you water, the morellatops also does, stay at your thatch/adobe house when its hot...
