So class, today’s lesson is that if you ever need to hide anything from Phlinger you simply need to place it near a waterfall. Phlinger will be so captivated by the sight of the waterfall that he will completely overlook other stuff around it.
You should put a box next to the beehive with a set of ghilie in it so you have a safe way to get the honey. Nice and convenient.
"Any bee's here" edits...brilliant. That's a great way to get through a slow portion looking for a hive or actually any potential tame. Good Job!
I had a similar issue with the bees on my SP save. It's almost like they have a timer until they die or become inactive. I cleared almost half of the redwoods of inactive hives and when I finally turned around to head back to base they were respawning in droves as areas came back into render.
Had to chuckle at the start where you were crafting bug repellant and saying about needing to level up for the chem bench, but you were primed for the toilet XP buff and not using it... Toilet in crafting area is one of the many new metas (can you have more than one?).

Speaking of fishing... Just started hunting the ocean myself and got an apprentice rod the other day. Then it broke right away. Realized I had to hunt another one. (No blueprint for a fishing rod?)
So having read that alpha tueso's are a guaranteed fishing rod, I got excited when a 145 snuck up and killed me and my new angler fish. I was excited because I knew I could go back and kill it, and got excited to see what level rod dropped, assuming it would be ascended.
Imagine my disappointment when no rod dropped.
Is that even possible? I thought they where guaranteed from the alpha squid guys.
I've obtained some really nice prints with my mastercraft rod, but it's almost broken already too. They don't last long.
And what with the weight limits with different bait. Is it never possible to catch the big fish. I've been after the 3.4 Coela beside my base for days. Leech blood, honey, sap... Nothing...
Frustrated fisherman here.
Great vid man. And yeah, bees can be a real pain to find these days. Most of the ones I have seen are just roaming around like the one you found. 😄

Destroyed 3 hives in the redwoods last night. Every time the queen ended up trapped inside the tree.
Even tried ghost command in this situation, but it would not let me feed the bee inside the tree. I guess it maintained agro with me so close and it being unable to roam trapped in the tree. 🤷♂️😢

Those that are having an issues with the owner tag above dinos heads.... this is to do with dino ownership in your tribe settings. If you change the tame ownership to "tribe owned" and the cryo pod/throw back out, they will no long have this tag.
I’ve destroyed a bee-llion hives yet can’t find a single giant bee queen.
I think you have to enable Dino hearing in the settings before they can hear you. 🤔
Just curious but have you tried any of the weapon attachments? I was thinking a spotlight might help find a hive and seem to remember a light attachment no one ever used that may have changed with ASA
I've been having no luck with saddle bps so ended up doing the bosses solo up to
alpha. Kangaroo for spider and monkey and stag for dragon and finally the Archaeopteryx to glide down to tek cave (gamma do far but doable with two chest and feet, good shotgun and 700-1000 shells. Its been kind of wild.

Mines been doing that with the cryo pods as well and I hate it. My boyfriend and I share a PlayStation so it’s his tag over it it makes it worse😂
Pump melee damage on the oviraptor to increase range of egg collection.
I've heard this is a myth and it don't matter what stat you put the point in. It's the level increase that increases range, not the fact that the level was put into melee.
Have not experimented with this personally.
