Gawt damn man you showing your face more than the town! Seaside is a cool little town but, its not for everyon. Weather is typically shite most of the year. Rain... colder. Coastal temps usually much cooler than inland. Lots of dumpy little shacks and bungalows just outside the main tourist areas.
I love Seaside. I was just there a few months back. And yes, the natives are rightfully upset with being essentially priced out of their backyard. It's a strange predicament since roughly 85-95% of their economy is driven by tourism.
Does Seaside have a good healthcare sector? I’m currently in nursing school but looking at my options after I graduate. I’m living in my hometown of Sacramento but I want to live near the ocean due to increasing summer temps. My goal was to move to the Bay Area or San Diego but housing here is getting bad and the expenses are going up. A couple of my friends have moved up north so I’m thinking of doing the same if things don’t work out for me in California.
I'm sure you know becoming a Travel Nurse is a great opportunity to check out different areas. Definitely coastal in Oregon, but lots of rain. 7/5 Article: Urban heat islands’ in Portland’s east side will suffer brunt of heat wave, researchers warn
@cherylh.6625 Thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely look into travel nursing too. I’ve met some well-travelled nurses where I worked at a few years ago. They definitely get to see many wonderful places!
COME ON, MAN! SHOW MY TOWN; NOT YOUR FACE!! 🤔 Sad tourism has taken over. The Seaside aquarium IS "THE" AQUARIUM, and was there years before the Newport one. Rain IS Seaside weather! LOL 😂You dont have to own a house to live there. You can rent an apartment/bungalow on the back side of the town; where all the murders arent hsppening, drunken tourists being loud at night when you have to wake up early for work! 🙄( We can thank all the drunken tourist)
Love Seaside. I own beach house there, never regretted
Me too. See you around
I really enjoy your videos. Oregon coast is my favorite place ❤

show the village instead of your face
yeah, I think it's best just to take quality footage of everything you want in the video and then do a voiceover.
Dude! Thank you for the info, but we don’t want to see you, we’re here to see and learn about the Oregon coast. Turn the camera around.
Check the channel - tons of drone/driving footage
@ thanks!
Never vacation there and would never live there intentionally. I feel bad for locals.
