  • Black and white will always be king. Symphony No. 7 in A major, Op. 92, II. Allegretto always makes things that much cooler.
This is what happens when you get David Fincher, Spike Jonze, and Tarsem Singh on one film. Are the credits a shout out to Fincher's previous flick, "Panic Room" (and of course by extension, Hitcock + Saul Bass)?

This is one of those movies that transcends filmmaking to become a work of art. Every shot, image, sound, & movement is so lovingly crafted that it is like looking at a moving painting. The visuals & sounds & emotions are manipulated so perfectly that you forget you are watching a movie & are transported to another world. You know you've made something special if David Fincher endorses your film. In the future if aliens want to know what made us special all they have to do is watch this film.

This movie still holds up. Was reminded of it after watching Pan's Labyrinth for the first time with a buddy - they make great sister films. It's a film you need to soak in. Deliberate, slow, beautiful. And the penultimate scene between Roy and Alexandria is deeply, deeply moving.

+makkein Just throw in Beethoven (7th symphony being a HUGE part of the film) and you've pretty much got it covered. Though like many films the actual writer (one of them) and director seemed to get buried under the names who helped make the movie possible i.e. Fincher and Jonze, whom I LOVE. Still, I don't think I heard the name "Tarseem" ever mentioned when this film has come up in any circumstance. Usually just Spike Jonze or Fincher. Pretty sure you know what I mean. But yeah, great flick obviously. And like all good films, the audio is just as relevant as the visual....

The Fall main topic is linked to people who don't gets the recognizing that they deserve. Wallace stablish the Natural Selection theory with Darwin, but people don't remember him. The 7th symphony of Beethoven is a copy for other created by other composer, but he accept the Beethoven's composition like a "Tribute", improving his song. That's because I love this credits

No, it died in a fateful stunt while shooting some silent film. The stunt would have been about the stuntman jumping off of the bridge onto the horse, but it went wrong, the horse died and them man gor paralysed and bedridden. The movie itself begins quite after this opening, we meet the man in the hospital.
