The absolute genius of Beethoven never ceases to amaze me. How clever of the makers of this film to combine music and maths - they are both universal languages.
I, three weeks ago when Italy, Usa, Germany, France etc. said: No problem, we are in control, it's a normal flu! Two weeks later: Italy: lockdown (with 6077 dead); three weeks later: Germany: lockdown, Usa: lockdown, France: lockdown, UK: lockdown.
Beethoven is my favorite composer. This section of his Symphony No. 7 was tailor-made for the end of "Knowing." Whoever did the music for this movie is a genius. Touchingly sad and beautiful.

In 2009 I loved this movie so much, it was one of my favorites at that time (and still)... The Symphony n°7 is absolutely perfect for the ending, I watched it over and over again... and now 2020 im here again, crying for everything is happening and alot of memories.

You don't simply throw patterns to make music, even patterns have to be put with taste... I believe it's more like the musical voice within... music comes from the heart/head, not the fingers. Jason Becker, now unable to move or talk, still composes music. It comes from inside. Schumann said "In order to compose, all you need to do is remember a tune that nobody else has thought of." That's how I think it works for most. Or at least works for me, but I don't think I'm an exception.

I think the viewing public are either biased or non biased with Nicolas Cage, that's the problem with the unfortunate scope of critics' viewpoints. People tend to stick to their favorite actors/actresses. This superb movie is both shocking and amazing at the same time and deserves far more accolade for sure, though it did fairly well at the box office at the time.
