While you're in the process of strenuous work like this, I'm sure it feels very slow and tedious for small results. But when you consider how much these layers of fiberglass add to the overall strength, stiffness, reliability, puncture-resistance, longevity, and safety of the hull and soundness and value of the boat, it is actually a remarkable accomplishment! It was the wood-strip building process that was much slower by comparison, even though that provided the first essential foundation. I am VERY impressed with your progress on this major personal undertaking. I don't know of anybody who has done it better. As you get into the fitments, furnishing, rigging, and finishing work later, you should remember with great pride and satisfaction how your dedication, skill, and patience with all of this early work has brought you there.

I used to work night shift maintaining aircraft and we would work 7 days of 12 hrs, then 7 off. It was the best way to work nights IMO. Like you noticed, It takes 3 nights or so to get aligned with being up all night, and then another few days to turn back to days. Long stretches of each are the only way to have any kind of normalcy, otherwise you are in a constant state of adjustment. It is very hard on the body and not worth the pennies extra they pay for night shift. Hats off to you for taking on this massive project. Always impressed!

You can really understand that those who embark on a project like this. But still have a job that they have to go to from 7 to 16 that it must be more or less impossible.
I remember you saying that there were many people who warned about starting a project like this but as you said doing this full time makes a huge difference.
Follow your work and admire everything you have done especially the enormous planning and thought to get everything right from the start.

    Great stuff as always!
Protip: If you are editing on Premiere, try taking your clips, in the bin, highlight, right click, go to modify, slect channels, go to mono, and select two (2) channels, one left, the other right, then drop it on the timeline.
By doing this, you separate the audio channels and place the body worn mic on one channel, and the camera (on-board) mic on the other channel. That way you can have a clean narration channel. If that is what you are looking for.
Anyway, I enjoy your channel, cheers!

It is stunning watching Johan plan and work.
Honestly, looking at some of the other sailing channels, their lack of knowledge of basic sailing safety measures, use of power tools, materials and just about everything else even though they may be voyaging around the world I would not trust them to play in my back garden unsupervised.
The sea, and building tools, are dangerous.
Johan is building a boat to cope, a safe boat, in the safest possible way.
    Much respect.

You’re making good progress despite the high daytime temperatures.
Having to do long night shifts to keep the job moving forward isn’t easy, having an extra pair of willing hands makes a huge difference in that situation.
Well done to Oskar (sp?) for being that pair of hands, I’m pretty sure you’ve just put in a decent down-payment on travelling to at least a few of the amazing places on this planet via the best way possible, under sail.
Malin, I like your plan for the house, it’s virtually identical to what we’re doing with our circa 200 year old stone cottage in the SW UK, so perhaps I’m a little biased towards the layout.
For me it’s the “atrium” in the middle that makes it. We’re planning on using a pair of Veelux or similar windows in the centre-section of the roof to get more light into the lower level, as well as one in each of the new attic rooms, is that your plan too?
Take care of yourselves and enjoy the remainder of the summer, autumn always seems to turn up when you’re not quite ready for it, at least it does for me!
    Cheers, R. 😎👍🍻
