Also according to Old Testament law which was over 600 mitzvot aseh and mtzvot lo taaseh laws including the main commandments which were referred to as the 10 commandments, not even the likes of David, Moses or Abraham would get into heaven because what was done for their sins to be cleansed? Who paid the debt? A sheep? A goat? Is that according to the OT really enough? The answer is no, it was merely done as propitiation but the reality is it wasn't enough. It was done merely as symbolism to represent what Jesus will do for humanity i.e. the coming of the Saviour as described in passages such as Isaiah 53 and Psalm 8. So in another words the reason why in the Old Testament times and even now, no one is literally in heaven and hell (as in awake) is because first Jesus hadn't paid the price yet in the Old Testament times and second the world hasn't come to an end yet so there are plenty more people who can be saved right now by Jesus Christ. Until the day of Judgment no one except a few may be in Heaven or Hell

If you want to convert Ben Shapiro, Jordan Peterson or anyone, ask them to learn the faith in the current Catechism. The Catechism is what the Church teach as the Bible, for it is the Church Magisterium. You cannot teach Catholicism with all the conflicting ideas of the same thing. Or you should leave them alone after they told you they are not interested. Respect their freewill and decision. You can convert them thru prayers and your corporal works of mercy. That is more practical in Catholics and had proven by Saints.

Therefore, it's obsolete, and is not backed by God any more. It is a "new covenant, not like that I made with [Moses]." In Catholicism you find the fullest most glorious fulfilment of the Old Covenant, because Jesus is not come to abolish and destroy, but to fulfill, and bring the fruit out of the tree, as it were, of the Old Covenant. Every aspect of our faith is entirely Jewish, even the things we believed without knowing any of its history or basis (such as typology about beliefs with regard to Mary, etc.). A Jew can do nothing more exciting and patriotic than follow the New Covenant established by the New Moses, the Messiah.

Ben needs to read Flavius Josephus, which will complete man's history from Adam and Eve to Christ. Then Philo Judaeus who will connect the Greeks with the Jewish Tradition. Then Plato as a primer for Augustine, then Aristotle as the primer for Aquinas. Then read Augustin 'City of God', 'Confessions' and 'Literal Meaning of Genesis'. Finally, Aquinas' 'Summa Contra Gentiles', then on to the very top to Summa Theologiae. It would take him a couple years knowing how busy he is, and many things he will want to read twice and meditate upon. Ben will thrive as a Catholic, and become the fullest version of himself humanly possible.

Catholic converts are definitely the most well informed about their faith and probably the strongest defenders of it as becoming a Catholic is not an easy process if you are not of the belief originally or even worse you were a Protestant before who had their doubts about Catholicism. The Torah is the pentateuch...the books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers. The Tanakh is the rest of the Hebrew Bible (minus the deuterocanon). You're probably thinking of the Talmud which is a collection of opinions and teachings from famous Jewish thinkers going back to before Christ, such as the teachings of the Shmuelites and the Hillelites.

Judaism does not contradict Christianity. Jewish people's beliefs contradict Christianity and Judaism as well. Almost nothing modern day Jews do are even according to the Old Testament. Also according to Old Testament law which was over 600 mitzvot aseh and mtzvot lo taaseh laws including the main commandments which were referred to as the 10 commandments, not even the likes of David, Moses or Abraham would get into heaven because what was done for their sins to be cleansed? Who paid the debt? A sheep? A goat? Is that according to the OT really enough? The answer is no, it was merely done as propitiation but the reality is it wasn't enough. It was done merely as symbolism to represent what Jesus will do for humanity i.e. the coming of the Saviour as described in passages such as Isaiah 53 and Psalm 8.
So in another words the reason why in the Old Testament times and even now, no one is literally in heaven and hell (as in awake) is because first Jesus hadn't paid the price yet in the Old Testament times and second the world hasn't come to an end yet so there are plenty more people who can be saved right now by Jesus Christ. Until the day of Judgment no one except a few may be in Heaven or Hell

If you want to convert Ben Shapiro, Jordan Peterson or anyone, ask them to learn the faith in the current Catechism. The Catechism is what the Church teach as the Bible, for it is the Church Magisterium. You cannot teach Catholicism with all the conflicting ideas of the same thing. Or you should leave them alone after they told you they are not interested. Respect their freewill and decision. You can convert them thru prayers and your corporal works of mercy. That is more practical in Catholics and had proven by Saints.
Your wording is a bit odd. The catechism doesn’t replace the bible, but it’s a systematic and concise statement of the important doctrines of the church in modern language.

Justification by faith alone did not start with Martin Luther. God in his infinite grace and mercy brought His church back to the Scriptures. What is cringey is how in response to the reformation the Catholic church canonized false books of the Bible to suit their doctrines. Even though most people did not acknowledge them as Scripture at the time.

Ben needs to read Flavius Josephus, which will complete man's history from Adam and Eve to Christ. Then Philo Judaeus who will connect the Greeks with the Jewish Tradition. Then Plato as a primer for Augustine, then Aristotle as the primer for Aquinas. Then read Augustin 'City of God', 'Confessions' and 'Literal Meaning of Genesis'. Finally, Aquinas' 'Summa Contra Gentiles', then on to the very top to Summa Theologiae. It would take him a couple years knowing how busy he is, and many things he will want to read twice and meditate upon. Ben will thrive as a Catholic, and become the fullest version of himself humanly possible.

It's not about converting anyone, its about sharing the gospel and it's upto them if they want to accept it or not. And if they don't want to then bid them a good day. God has gifted all of us the free will to choose or reject him, we have no authority to enforce our beliefs on anyone. I have a couple of atheist friends who joke around saying " oh be careful what you say she'll start something and force you to convert" tbh that enrages me because of the stereotype some Catholics and Christians have created for the rest of us but then i realize that atleast I'm not the one that believes everything came from nothing 😂

By the way, believing in Yeshua doesn't necessarily mean you believe in catholic doctrine, the trinity, etc. There are many disagreements among Christians regarding these topics.

Catholic converts are definitely the most well informed about their faith and probably the strongest defenders of it as becoming a Catholic is not an easy process if you are not of the belief originally or even worse you were a Protestant before who had their doubts about Catholicism. That being said, if Ben were to become Catholic, he might become one of the scariest apologist this world has ever seen. You're probably thinking of the Talmud which is a collection of opinions and teachings from famous Jewish thinkers going back to before Christ, such as the teachings of the Shmuelites and the Hillelites.

Are we able to let people keep their own religion without trying to change them. I mean what is Christianity about? Is it about getting as much people as possible?
