The iPad 10 is for people, schools, and companies which are upgrading from a previous iPad that uses the Gen 1 Pencil. Sticking with the Gen 1 pencil gives them another 3 to 5 years of usage of those Gen 1 pencils. The non-laminated display means much easier and cheaper repairs on those devices too, which is a huge bonus for commercial and educational use.
I am upgrading from a mini 5 and I’m greatful I don’t have to buy another pencil and can still use my current one. I like apples products but their technology can be absolutely dreadful when it comes to money sometimes.
I picked up the iPad 10 generation from Best Buy for $399 yesterday. I think you’re right 399 is the perfect price point. Most of us don’t do a lot of the things that would make a difference to go to the air. Although yes, he is a lot nicer.
Just over a month after buying the 256 GB Cellular M1 iPad Air 5 and Apple Pencil 2, Apple announced the iPad 10 and M2 iPad Pros. Plus, the total purchase price of the two devices I had bought went up by A$110 for the iPad and A$20 for the Pencil 2, that's an increase overall of 8.2%. I also received A$310 trade-in from Apple on a top spec iPad 8.
I’m a basic user, and upgraded from the 7th gen iPad to the 10th gen iPad. I just watch RUclips and some other streaming services. I’m not too picky, and don’t use 1st part pencil anyway, the twice a year I may use it. I’m just happy with the fact that there’s landscape speakers, and the larger screen. That was the 2 things I was mostly looking for when I upgraded. I didn’t get the folio, as I’m not one to use keyboards for my tablets.
Had my Air 5 for a week and have to say in real life we don't need much speed than that. Just hope the software support and battery last long enough till this M1 isn’t the M1 anymore.
probably not. lower model ipads purely exist to nudge people to the pro models, because their prices are so similar. this also goes for their other products
I‘m in the market for a new iPad, and this confirms what I feared. The iPad Air 5 is too expensive, and there’s simply no reason to choose an iPad 10 over an iPad Air 4. looks like I‘ll get an Air 4 before they are gone. Shame on Apple for the massive price increase on the iPad 10.
Some of the reviews for this don't make sense. This ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA works as well as any power strip I've used. Plug in what you need, be sensible about it & keep it movin' The construction is plastic but it's a sturdy piece. It has a single toggle switch & the swivel jacks are useful as well. Plugged in next to Tripp Lite Isobar takes some of these reviews with a pinch of sumthin' - does what it says & functions properly.Had for about a month. Perfect no complaints will update if anything changes.
I Would like to see a comparison with the iPad 10th gen with the A14 vs with the iPad Pro 2018 with the A12X to see which is more value for the price and performance. That would be very cool.
@@Materazzi73 here’s the thing look at the iPad Pro from 2015 that’s still supported even though the iPhone 6s got released at the same time and got discontinued from software updates so this iPad will last for a quite bit more then when a iPhone would.
I think it all comes down to how you use your iPad. A couple of things I love about my new (4-day old) iPad 10 are: - the speakers sound great when compared to the iPad 9's, I always hated the way the iPad 9 sounded (if you watch a lot of RUclips videos while you're in the crapper or bored, you need it to sound good, or at least not as harsh and ear-piercing as the iPad 9, believe me) - having to press the home button multiple times was cumbersome and I always wondered when that mechanical pushbutton will stop working. With the iPad 10 you don't have to press anything, just tap on the screen and place your finger on the sensor and voila to unlock it, just swipe up to get to the home screen. In my case I don't use my iPad for creating content so i don't use Apple Pencil, so again, I guess it depends on what you are planning to accomplish with it. Having had the iPad 9 for a long time, the iPad 10 is a refreshing update to me and worth the money, but to each their own. I'd say, if you're a serious content creator on the move, go with the iPad Pro, because for a regular user, a difference of $150 between an iPad 10 and an iPad Air is a big deal if you're not going to get money out of it... love and peace ✌️ *interesting fact: the HOME button dates back to the iPhone 3, it's about time we got rid of it 😉
Yes- I have this iPad too. People who don’t buy the iPad just wont understand how fantastic it really is. I really like having the camera on the top of the ipad
Watching on an iPad Pro m1. I was rooting for the tenth gen. It’s such a shame all the limits that apply placed on it.. honestly even with all those limits at least give the tenth gen a laminated display fro crying out loud
Thanks for the excellent comparisons. I wanted to upgrade my ipad 9 to something more powerful, but this year doesn't feel right for that. So now I'm thinking of waiting to see what the 2023 ipad air will be. An advantage of getting up there in years is that waiting a whole year doesn't seem very long anymore.
The next gen iPad Air will be a lot more expensive due to the extra $100 cost of the M2 chips from TSMC. If they do get the new OLED displays expect an even higher price, maybe $150-200 more than the current RRP.
@@keiseja8056 Last year I bought both an ipad 9 and M1 macbook air. I found that I spend most of my time on the ipad doing mail, texts, some lightweight gaming, surfing, and making too many Amazon purchases. My iphone SE2 allows easy texting from both those devices over wifi which is very convenient. I would really like to do some sketching on the ipad but there is no way that I would buy the old apple pencil anymore. So I would need an ipad that supports the newer pencil, like an Air or maybe an ipad 11?
@@ahaimes6320 The main reason I want to upgrade my ipad 9 is for sketching with the newer apple pencil. I refuse to buy the old pencil. I just bought an iPad 10 to replace my aging 9.7 inch iPad Pro. I was really surprised by the difference in brightness between the two I had to turn the brightness of the iPad 10 all the way up to match the brightness of my older iPad Pro at 50%. I’m surprised because technically they are supposed to be the same at 500 nits. i’ve been through everything but I’m still wondering if I have a defective iPad 10?
Confirms my decision to order a refurb m1 iPad Pro off of amazon...thanks for creating this comparison. The iPad 10's lack of pencil 2 support (+ horrific charging method) and poor accessory support were key factors in my decision.
Yeah. I’m going for either a 256 Air 4 at $499 or a 128 M1 Pro for $699. Sorta weighing that 200 bucks for the M1. No 2nd gen pencil support, if I were going for the base model, I’d just get the 9th gen. The 10’s make zero sense to me. Especially at the higher price point.
In the Uk they increased the iPad Air m1 price to £670 which is crazy as I got my air literally a week earlier before the increase for £550 with the pencil at a student discount
With the price hike of the iPad 10, you would expect to have some of the features from the Air 4 to be used. Unfortunately, Apple placed slower hardware in the iPad 10 such as the USB-C and a slower A14 chip. It does not perform the same as the Air 4. Even the stereo speakers are not close when hearing it through this video. And the iPad 10 can only support the Pencil 1st Gen. is completely unacceptable. If this iPad 10 had been the same price as the iPad 9 or even a $30 increase, then that's fine. This is an iPad that schools and government may find disappointing over time if they buy them for the students.
The only reason I upgraded my 2018 pro to the air 4 was because its frame is damaged and the battery life got bad. For basic stuff there is no difference speed wise.
Congrats, you did exactly what Apple wanted you to do. This iPad exists purely to convince you to pay more for a better model. Mission accomplished, Apple thanks you for your money.
That was a smart decision thé iPad Air 5 has much better features like the M1 chip which is 70 percent + graphics and gpu, and the iPad 10s A14 chip is down clocked to almost iPhone 12 speed, it also has much faster usb Port that’s like 5x faster, a laminated screen, and the iPad 10 supports the Apple Pencil 1 which u need adapters and dongles to use it vs the air 5 has the 2nd gen Apple Pencil which charges with magnets for the dock on the iPad. Badically the only advantage of the iPad 10 Is better battery life when doing heavy tasks
Still buying the 10th generation as it’s the cheapest iPad model that I could get a silver colorway and I like newer models. I’m willing to live up with the Apple pencil limitation as I am coming from Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019)
Six weeks ago i bought a full-spec iPad Air 5. I couldn't justify the cost of the Magic Keyboard so I got a Logitech Combo Touch case/trackpad/backlit keyboard. It attaches to the side of the case in the same way the Apple Folio one attaches to the iPad 10. But there's a difference there: the Logitech item is a fully-protective case and has circuitry that redirects the iPad Air's Smart Connector from the bottom of the iPad to the side of the case. The Logitech unit cones apart the same way and it has a similar kickstand to the Apple Folio one. The Logitech one also has a full row of function keys. It shares the extra required footprint of the Folio, though.
It's worth pointing out that the 2018 ipad pro 11" is currently on sale from Apple for just $469 certified refurbished! for that money you get similar amazing performance that iPadOS still can't take take advantage of, and ProMotion and Gen 2 Apple Pencil support. And when you buy Refurbished from Apple, it pretty much IS a new device.
@@pubplays368 not in the case of apple. They are as good as new. I know it because I have bought my MacBook Pro as refurbished from them. And also recommended to a couple of friends the refurbished store and they both bought MacBook Air M1 from there. We all have had a great experience.

An M1 chip, in 60hz, with 64GB storage. What a waste for such a powerful processor. Imagine building a pc with an i9 or a ryzen 9 on it and slapping it with a 64gb ssd and pairing it with a monitor at 60hz while having a rtx3090 on it. How would you feel.
This is the first time years I can remember the "base" iPad being a horrible deal. It's sad to see, considering how great the 1st and 2nd gen were great, 3 and 4 were ok, 5-9 was a great deal all round, and now with the 10 they throw it all away. These used to be the most solid tech deals in the industry and they just... Words do not describe how frustrated I am with this. Also ngl I thought the back part of the new keyboard was sold separately lol
The base iPad remains the iPad 9, so not sure what you mean there. That can be had for $250 in places. The iPad 10 is similar to the MB Air M2 -v- MB Air M1, new design = extra cost = decide what is best value.
But it’s worth mentioning iPad 1 and 2 were very expensive and about the same price then then the 10 iPads 3-9 were perfect price for everyone especially families and schools, Apple was in a really good place for a few years even during pandemic they were leading in the customer satisfaction department, I don’t know what they did this year with the 14 and iPads it seems everything they built up to it’s falling back again 😢
You can get a 256 gb 10th gen for the same price as 64 gb iPad Air. This is where you decide whenever the extra features are worth it or is it the storage
Not laminated LCD's are a must for schools where screens are broken very often. Airs and pros should be laminated, regular ipads need to maintain the affordability of repair
a refurbished iPad Pro 2018 and 2020 is still better than those 3 .. you get pro motion display, faceID, a flashlight (good for scanning document), and an extra camera with the 2020 iPad
Yes I have the iPad Pro M1 2021 and it is worth it for the Promotion alone. All my friends have iPad Airs and you feel the difference between 60 and 120Hz soooo much its crazy
Yasss. It would’ve been more okay even if the design is like those early leaks, the one with the touch id button on front and not “full” screen even if not laminated, but the price is still around 329-349 usd.
I bought an iPad Air 5. I love it. Thanks for this review, because I’ve been waiting for iPad Air 5 vs iPad 10 because I like to feel like I have a iPad Air 5 I wanted this comparison so bad
Those prices are absolutely insane. Now it's 789€ to get the ipad air 64gb in France. It's like 1/3 of my salary in Europe. And I'm relatively well paid. I wanted this ipad air, but honestly I'm thinking about getting an Android tablet like S7 or S8. For 640€ I will have 256gb and pencil is at least included.
They call it an entry level ipad for a reason, slower charging, first gen apple pencil with the lighting port plus usb-c adaptor.. imo I do believe it's not only based on users who are looking for the basic ipad but also new users and for education. $449 isn't bad considering if you want a beefy ipad pro it's like 3 or 4 times that price.
Im on the edge of buying and idk. The prices here in Europe are crazy. The Air 5th is 800eur and 10th iPad 600eur. And I would be taking it with a "cellphone company".. Im just thinking is the 200eur worth it.. and then the pen 90eur vs 140eur.. I would just use it for starting up some drawing (becoming a hobby) and using Procreate.. so is 240eur worth the difference for the laminated display and "cluttered" apple pencil.
Having a non-laminate display is the biggest drawback of this device. I hated it in all the previous generations. That hollow feeling when you interact with the display... 🤮
I found a brand new iPad Air 4 265GB at Walmart for $499…. The iPad 10 is such a waste! I was going for it but so glad i did some research first and found a deal!

Magic Keyboard is my favorite design for iPad. It’s very compact on a table, puts iPad’s screen nice and high, it’s comfortable to use on lap or in bed and you just pick it up with the iPad opened without any parts flapping around. And there’s also the charging port (well, if you didn’t break it like I did :P)

I have the Air 5 and for the long usage I’d suggest this one, if it’s okay with your wallet. The M1 chip makes gaming smooth and also the sound really is nice from the speakers, most of the times I don’t connect to a bluetooth one. Air 5 is the best out of these.
OK, just cancelled my Ipad Air 5th gen purchase because I just got an insane deal on the 2021 Ipad Pro 11 for $549. 128GB, true motion 120 hz display, face id, M1 processor, ultra wide camera, 4 speakers, thunderbolt support, 600 nits bright display and a few other things I’m leaving out I’m sure but no brainer, way better features and specs than the 2022 Ipad Air all for $250 off. Stoked!
It’s so sad that we get these brand new chips, and Apple just lags on a lot of things that if they did it correctly we’d have them right when they launched and a lot more people would buy. If you go back in time with the first iPad, it fell so short from what it could have been, to this day it’s behind though the chips have the capacity to do what iMacs/MacBooks do. Other than that..I am very pleased with my new iPad Air. Photoshop is great that I don’t really need my MacBook/iMac as much (I say this because Adobe always was slow putting out stuff on Apple devices..there’s a few things that Adobe photoshop only does on computers and not on the iPads that Adobe could put on but for some reason they don’t/slow to the show) I think Apple is being strategic on, I think they have technologies that they’re going to roll out just like with their phones etc where it’s one or two things at a time (this is why I’ve stopped buying the phones/laptops/computers every time they come out..because it’s not the full shebang)
I've been thinking. If what people said were true (iPad 10 being an upgrade for school supplies, hence the gen 1 pencil and non laminated display for cheaper repair) then why not give the 10 a lightning port? It wouldn't need a stupid dongle since the pencil would make sense, and the current 10's USB C has a slow speed transfer anyways. This may also lower the price too. Just my thoughts though.
Or… just make an adapter with the male usb-c, so you don’t need the stupid cable every time. I would add: the adapter has a cylindrical form and can be left attached to the pencil so that it functions just like the pencil 1 without worries
Pretty interesting and detailed video 👍 You're really lucky to have an easy access to refurbished products because here in France there are really rare arrivals on the website... ! I plan to purchase the iPad Air 5 (mostly for drawing) once there are (hopefully!) deals on Black Friday/Christmas.
Wait what? 10:15 The iPad Air 4 doesn't have the same transfer speed as the 5. Apple said that the M1 model's USB-C port got 2x faster than the previous gen.
iPad 10th gen is great those who went from iPad 4 and below (in my case, iPad Air 1st gen XD) The price point is pretty good too. And there is no need for an upgrade from iPad 4 or 5.. just my piece of mind
TIP: If your buying a iPad 10th gen, please stay away from the apple keyboard! Instead, buy the Logitech combo touch which is 100$ less and its the exact same thing. It also has a full case that actually protects the iPad.
The Ipad air 5 (M1) has a way better battery life than the Ipad air 4, I can get up to 11h of usage until I hit 20% while my friend who has the Ipad air 4 can bearly get a 7h of usage from his whole battery.
Good Morning America! In Austria the iPad 10 starts from 580€ just so you can compare it, the iPad 9 is 350€… ipad air 4 is 550 refurbished….but hey ipad 10 has nice colors!
Buy what makes you happy, the new iPad 10 is a choice we never had a month ago. Why complain, if you do not like it get something else; if you cannot afford it buy the iPad 9. What is all the fuss about!
it lacks in features..... no pressure sens.... and the apple pencil is always on sale for like 60-70.... now if the pen 2 usb c goes down to 30-40... then i would consider
You said that Air 4 has the same USB-C transfer speed, but it is actually half the speed of the Air 5. The fifth-generation iPad Air is capable of transfers up to 10 Gbps, and the fourth-generation iPad Air and latest iPad mini reach speeds up to 5 Gbps.
This should have been the year Apple started phasing out Pencil 1, but nooooo, and teardowns show why; the side-mounted FaceTime camera takes up all the space the magnets and inductive charger need on Pencil 2-iPads. Y'know what this means! We're not going to see the two things together on the Air and Pro unless _both_ components are redesigned to share space.
Hugely informative. iPad 10 is incredibly disappointing value for money. Keep in mind outside USA prices are significantly more so even more poor value for money
I Listened intently what you were saying I’ve never bought a used iPhone or iPad . Your recommendation is convincing except for warranty. How is Second party warranties not sure you’ve ever talked about that.
I currently have the iPad 6 and looking to upgrade. The battery life on my 6 sucks. Help me decided between the ipad 10 and iPad Air. All I use it for is watching RUclips, social media and a game or two occasionally. Probably % wise I’d say I use my iPad 50% for social media, 45% for watching RUclips and 5% for games. I like the idea of centered camera on the 10, but not sure how much I’d use it. Honestly, the idea of me considering the air is a faster processor, but not sure how much better it would actually be for what I’m using it for. Suggestions?
I initially bought the iPad 10 and noticed that the speakers weren’t so clear compared to my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Then I needed an Apple Pencil for drawing and school, after realizing that the 2nd gen pencil that I already purchased was not compatible I went to go buy the first GEN and then when I got home that one didn’t work because I needed a whole new dongle. After all of this, I had it and I ended up returning my iPad 10 back to Amazon and purchasing the iPad Air. now I absolutely love my iPad Air in comparison, especially with the convenience of the Apple Pencil 2 both in connectivity and quality.
which ipad air did you get? im also on the fence about getting the new ipad 10. it ll be my first ipad device for general use. im thinking of ipad 10, ipad air 4 or the air 5. not sure which ones yet.
@@wtfack4775 I got the iPad Air 5th gen, the latest one. Honestly I was totally ok with the iPad 10 in general, the main take away I had from being able to use them both is that the 10 was slower by a little, the speaker quality wasn’t as crisp with videos and music, and the Apple Pencil is absolutely a mess to try and use the first gen on it. Might be worth just paying an extra $100 or so to get the air honestly.
Only thing which is unexpected is how the quality of display is so poor in 10 as compared to air. I do have a ipad 10 but when we see it along air 5 then i realize what i am missing. I thing display is one of basic things which should not have been compromised i am ok with not having M1 or faster usb speed.
I think many of us know that, but one of the advantages of being an Apple product is that there are many third-party alternatives that are mostly cheaper. Compare this with the Tab S8. I would not recommend anyone buying this keyboard, get a Logitech one.
As the world moves into a recession, Apple has a go at getting MORE PROFIT from the low end of the market. This could and should have been launched for $299 in which case Apple would be heralded for value. As it is, I hope they sell none
In a recession people are not spending money, so the demand curve changes and selling cheaper for marginal profits is not a business strategy if profit for your shareholders is your guide. You do what Apple is doing, charge the normal marginal profit and ride out the recession. People will buy it or go for the cheaper model, sound business sense in dire times for tech companies (Google, Samsung, Twitter, Dell, etc all suffering downturns).
You will understand the iPad 10 pricing when the new iPad M2 Air is released as that is expecting to get at least $100 price rise (what TSMC is charging extra for M2). At that time the iPad 10 will be cheaper and the price differential will be $250-300. People need to understand product cycles, inflation and variable costs associated with a new design.

@@poppyseed1058 eBay! Had an 20% off code and some retailers were apart of it! I ended up upgrading to an iPhone 13 at the same time cuz it was cheap enough to do it and sell off my old at a decent price :)
You’re actually right for example I upgraded from an ipad 8 and I had Apple Pencil 1 so I didn’t have to spend 120€ for buying a new pencil
Your iPad usage, just not using pencil1 is exact math for iPad 10.
That’s a perfect device for you the pencil and expensive keyboard is what threw me off
It's like you exactly described my needs from an ipad. The 10th gen will be my first. Lmao
@@Worthless. I never seen an iPad Air sold for that price. I’m assuming your talking about the 9th gen
Had my Air 5 for a week and have to say in real life we don't need much speed than that. Just hope the software support and battery last long enough till this M1 isn’t the M1 anymore.
That just means all ipads going to get a big price bump next year to justify their baseline. This is just the start unfortunately.
this fr, we’re gonna see more hikes for the other ipads
iPad 9 be like:
probably not. lower model ipads purely exist to nudge people to the pro models, because their prices are so similar. this also goes for their other products
thanks for the comparison! so the only thing I want from iPad 10 is the new front camera location. For every other aspect, Air 4 is the one to go
but ipad air 4 not have center stage front camera
This is exactly what I need!
Yes please!
But the problem is with such an old model, you will probably get software updates just for a few more years...
A couple of things I love about my new (4-day old) iPad 10 are:
- the speakers sound great when compared to the iPad 9's, I always hated the way the iPad 9 sounded (if you watch a lot of RUclips videos while you're in the crapper or bored, you need it to sound good, or at least not as harsh and ear-piercing as the iPad 9, believe me)
- having to press the home button multiple times was cumbersome and I always wondered when that mechanical pushbutton will stop working.
I'd say, if you're a serious content creator on the move, go with the iPad Pro, because for a regular user, a difference of $150 between an iPad 10 and an iPad Air is a big deal if you're not going to get money out of it... love and peace ✌️
*interesting fact: the HOME button dates back to the iPhone 3, it's about time we got rid of it 😉
Yes- I have this iPad too. People who don’t buy the iPad just wont understand how fantastic it really is. I really like having the camera on the top of the ipad
Max, I think an ipad air 4 (refurbished from apple) is a more safer deal than the amazon one.
i bought an apple refurbished ipad 4 a few days ago and it was cheaper than both the other options and seems to be fab so far! would defo recommend
It wouldnt make an scence to buy a cheaper 9 th gen just exchange it one year later, what are the Tasks that u are doing with the ipad?
@@earthoid glad u wrote back, well for the Tasks u mentioned the ipad 9 gen has plenty of Power. I guess you live in the US, isnt the first gen Penicil quite cheap there? Well but you need to think about how much money you would Lose and if thats worth to avoid minor inconveniences. Lets say you need to pay 400 Dollars more for ipad air plus pencil and maybe New case. Lets say u Euro 20 Dollar s per hour, i think thats like average? Are you willing to sell of or waste 20 to 25 hours/ 3 work days of your life to avoid These inconveniences?
I’d like to see a comparison to the 2018 iPad Pro 11”. You can find them for cheaper than the new iPad as well.
Then you looking to have an iPad that is almost 5 years old, which means end of cycle for new updates.
The 11 inch M1 pro (2021) would make more sense in a comparison.
I just bought an iPad 10 to replace my aging 9.7 inch iPad Pro. I was really surprised by the difference in brightness between the two I had to turn the brightness of the iPad 10 all the way up to match the brightness of my older iPad Pro at 50%. I’m surprised because technically they are supposed to be the same at 500 nits. i’ve been through everything but I’m still wondering if I have a defective iPad 10?
iPad is the original product. Your debate is should it be discontinued? No, iPad 10 doesn’t have to be Air or Pro. It’s fine respectable.
Confirms my decision to order a refurb m1 iPad Pro off of amazon...thanks for creating this comparison. The iPad 10's lack of pencil 2 support (+ horrific charging method) and poor accessory support were key factors in my decision.
I did that too, 0 regrets
Same here but went with air
@@swesttttt Fwiw, I agree with @Noel Baldwin 's choice... the M1 Air on amazon is the best bang for the buck. ..even though I went with the Pro.
I got the AIR 4 64gb for $349, yesterday. Its gonna replace my iPad 7 32gb, and compliment my M1 iPad Pro 11 128gb, and M1 MB Air 512gb.
The normal iPad should be the cheapest they can make while still making a great product.
That's their whole reason for existence imo
Recently got myself the iPad Air 4 instead of iPad 10 because of its fully laminated display and antireflective coating.
Hello! How’s the experience!

Awesome
2017 iPad Pro 10.9 with A10x is still running great. I have no intention to replace it.
The only reason I upgraded my 2018 pro to the air 4 was because its frame is damaged and the battery life got bad. For basic stuff there is no difference speed wise.
I waited for iPad 10 and when I saw it’s features and price I definitely decided to step up to the iPad Air5
Badically the only advantage of the iPad 10
Is better battery life when doing heavy tasks
@@theryan519but there are few valid points to invest a bit more money and have more powerful chip and future proof device...
Yes, that is a great keyboard and if they do one for the iPad 10, I would buy that instead of the Apple one.

The base iPad remains the iPad 9, so not sure what you mean there. That can be had for $250 in places. The iPad 10 is similar to the MB Air M2 -v- MB Air M1, new design = extra cost = decide what is best value.

Not laminated LCD's are a must for schools where screens are broken very often. Airs and pros should be laminated, regular ipads need to maintain the affordability of repair
I agree, I am a elementary teacher.
Same argument should be said for the glued battery
a refurbished iPad Pro 2018 and 2020 is still better than those 3 .. you get pro motion display, faceID, a flashlight (good for scanning document), and an extra camera with the 2020 iPad

I’m looking for a fast iPad for gaming in my budget of $480. iPad Air 4 used is best for me! I’ll be getting it sometime next month. I’m so excited!
I kinda hoped it would be called IPad X, since it’s so much like the iPhone x’s
Walmart is selling the iPad Air 4 for $350. The choice between that and the new iPad was easy for me.
Whereeee
Bro the difference a laminated display makes is insane. Most reviewers brush it off and say it's not noticeable....

I’m curious do you know how it broke?

Stoked!
How’d you get it?
On the point of the pencil thing, wonder if Apple could have made the bottom smart connectors to dual purpose as both keyboard and pencil 2 support.
LITERALLY and if you still had your first GEN pencil, you could also use that
Price in Europe is way too high than US prices, insane.
I currently have the iPad Air 4 256gb and it’s really amazing and I got it when the price was low on Amazon. Amazing product 😭

I think they all are not worth to buy compared with the Mini 6 and the current pro series and the 2021 M1 series
I jumped on the iPad Air 5 deal, sold my iPad 9th gen. Awesome upgrade

This is eye opening review the M1 and A14 is almost identical in some test
This should have been the year Apple started phasing out Pencil 1, but nooooo, and teardowns show why; the side-mounted FaceTime camera takes up all the space the magnets and inductive charger need on Pencil 2-iPads. Y'know what this means! We're not going to see the two things together on the Air and Pro unless _both_ components are redesigned to share space.

@@thebigcheese5114 how about battery draining..
@@SuperCapricornboy seems like the air has had more battery time for me too.
@@thebigcheese5114 how many lasting hour.. I'm confusing to but ipad 10 gen or ipad air 5
The best iPad is the iPad Air, you get an M1 chipset and everything you don’t need in an iPad Pro, which is much better than the iPad 10gen.
Only thing which is unexpected is how the quality of display is so poor in 10 as compared to air. I do have a ipad 10 but when we see it along air 5 then i realize what i am missing. I thing display is one of basic things which should not have been compromised i am ok with not having M1 or faster usb speed.
I like the magic keyboard, but I don't think either one of them is worth $250+
@@ahaimes6320 This is bad value. People are not stupid, it is not worth the money. This is not a winning strategy for consumers or stockholders
Apple’s current product lineup is so convoluted. 😅
U didnt show the iPad Air 4.
Wtf are they doing with the chips??? A new iPad 10 has an A14? That’s ridiculous for that price
The iPad 10 is just the 9 but with no home button and usb c and costs more
There's also a refurbished iPad pro 2018 for $389
Apple does needs to make that new keyboard for the Pros and Airs with those functions keys😠
Steve Jobs is looking down disappointed w all these copy and place apple products and them being overpriced
Honestly, apple should discontinue the iPad Air lineup and re- sell the iPad Air 4 as “the iPad 11” and for a cheaper price ($449)
I think a refurbished 2018 iPad Pro would be a better choice than all of these (except the Air 5)
Then you looking to have an iPad that is almost 5 years old, which means end of cycle for new updates.
Im using an iPad Air 4 256GB and it's a champ. Ive had the MacBook Air m2 512GB for a month now and I don't really use it. For around the house The iPad Air 4 with the keyboard is perfect.
just charge the old pencil with the ligtning dongle that it came with.
