I miss Scotland so bad. I used to actually live in Anat for a while and have guided many, many sea kayaking, hiking and biking trips in that area. One of the most spectacular places to ride in the world... and I now live in the Canadian rockies! Although, torridon has the worst midges anywhere!! Beautiful video! On another note, can you get ND filters for your drone? Some motion blur in those shots would be a cherry on the cake!
Yet again, stunning views. It helps not having any trees! Here in BC they are everywhere on the west coast. There is no way I could fly my drone in Squamish last week. Your footage is looking great.
I’ve got to agree with you from the tea bothy to the cut off , it’s on and off the bike , but that lollipop descent , probably the very best descent I’ve ever ridden , only did it once top to bottom , adrenalin kept me going all the way , I was buzzing 😂 Cracking footage you’ve got , place is a must for folk
Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant ride !!!!!! Expertly ridden and filmed, and yes the sun setting at the end was the icing on the cake....no one showcases Scotland riding as well as you Andrew..so congratulations again 👏👏👏 and Torridon is definitely the jewel in the crown 👍👍
Brilliant loop and takes me back. We did that loop two years ago. Last year we did Dundonnell to Poolewe which is a favourite also, but fair bit of road to get back to the van from Poolewe, but definitely a ride I reckon you should film. The single track to the Causeway was so much fun. The river crossing luckily ankle deep.
Looks like an epic day out drone footage and views are amazing and the deviate highland certainly can take the abuse that those rocky descents throw at it .
Done it once on the E-MTB late 2020 starting from the layby at the west end of the loch near Achnashellach, cracking route! (Few deep gully/ravine HAB sections on the coulags side climb hard going with a 23kg bike lol, but made the majority of it fully rideable)
I was touring the highlands last year but unfortunately storm Agnes came in and curtailed my riding when I was in the torridon area. Your vid has just lit the fire to come for a rematch, time to pack the van !!! 👍
@@McTrailRider absolutely. I did a Spain tour recently, I was in the Asturias when you were in the north as it goes, was stunning, but not a match for the highlands 🥰
Remember the first time doing the big loop. It was before Trailforks, just had a printout map from Walk Highlands. Basically it got soaked in my pocket so there may have been some slight deviations along the way haha! 😂
Superb video - the light on the Annat descent was outstanding. Is the climb up from the Tea House Bothy worse that the hike-a-bike up Coire Grannda? I hated that. I was planning to do a "Y" route there doing one climb/return descent around the back of Maol Chean Dearg (Bealach a' Choire Gairbh) like you did in a previous video and then up/down from Bealach na Lice finishing on the Annat descent. How do you think that would go?
The classic is less taxing than the lollipop loop but quite a bit. As for the y route, I’m not sure I’d rush back to the bealach trail. It’s good, but the standard way is better. The view is amazing though🤔
Fantastic footage of the area brings back great memories of Doing the lollipop loop many moons ago .iirc it took us 6hrs for 40km and it had lot of hike a bike . Dors that route have less hike a bike than the lollipop route ? Thanks
This route has very little hike-a-bike compared to the lollipop loop. Basically just from the loch up to the Annat descent, which is shared between the two routes.
I couldn’t really put them into a list, and my opinion changes quite a lot. I certainly couldn’t think of 4 adventure routes that are definitely better than this one though.
Stunning scenery captured by amazing drone footage, Scotland really has it all for walkers and mountain bikes.
If really does 👌
My favourite ride in the whole world.. no matter where or what I've ridden.. nothing comes close to a day out in Torridon.
A dream build from Mother Nature if you will😉
A dream build from Mother Nature if you will😉
X 2 👍
Consider that ride...SOLD! I'm up there next week so if the weather allows I hope to repeat this classic. Manny thanks for the .gpx & vid
Hey Scotland…..a little bit of sunshine suits you. Thanks for the beautiful McVenture. Cheers
It sure does 👌😍

some amazing shots in there.. thanks for the virtual ride!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This looks absolutely mint Andrew, that last descent..wow!
And too top it off at the bottom of the last trail is a pub ! Can’t believe you never mentioned that ! Cracking footage
Not my thing tbh, but good for others 👍

Very much appreciate that Trevor😊
Once again epic ride scenery and the lovely Scottish weather love it great job.
Got lucky with the weather tbh 😬
Thanks Andrew , and Louise . Drone shots were amazing ! Safe travels !!
Our pleasure!
@@McTrailRider that place was incredible. Waterfalls ..etc ..
Brilliant vid mate! You've made me want to give this trail a go. The timing on the descent for the sun was perfect.
100% worth giving this route a go 👍
Definitely on my bucket list, some amazing footage as always
nice one Andrew, what an absolutely gorgeous loop and day out on the bikes, great vid, nice riding - cheers
Many thanks! ☺️
What an absolutely amazing ride and video. Thank you
Cheers dude, glad you enjoyed it.
@@McTrailRider always do. You videos are a great escape at the moment so thank you
Amazing, just added it to my bucket list. Top notch as ever Andrew!
Awesome! Bucket list route for sure👍
I was in this area yesterday. The weather was stunning. Few people. Epic place.
A great place to be, especially when it’s sunny 👌
Your drone shots are stunning mate .😍
Thanks! I tried a bit harder on this occasion to try and capture the beauty.
Wow!!! Absolutely awesome. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
Really wished I lived nearer so I could sample some of the rides you show us.

I’ve done that route too👍 About as remote as it gets. How good is it when you get the first look at the lochs with the causeway!?😍😍
Looks like an epic day out drone footage and views are amazing and the deviate highland certainly can take the abuse that those rocky descents throw at it .
Excellent day out 👌
Rode that route on Saturday it always delivers !
Nice! 🤘
Man, you're so lucky to get to rife those places. Unreal.
True 😊 But it’s still a long way and effort to get too.
awesome vid 🤙🏼 im always burst after the last climb and questioning why i love that route, then the second descent reminds me
The reward is worth it, and a bit of motivation to help you along👍

I am tempted to give this a go in the e-bike. A nice little battery management challenge for me 👍
Awesome day out on the bike 👌
Oh yeah!
Stunning footage
Beautiful country man!😊
That was amazing bro . Great ridin n vid mate . Louise is awsome n a fantastic rider n she's a legend. Look forward to the nxt vid bro .
Yeah, big shout out for Louise. Such a genuinely awesome person🤘
I was touring the highlands last year but unfortunately storm Agnes came in and curtailed my riding when I was in the torridon area. Your vid has just lit the fire to come for a rematch, time to pack the van !!! 👍
The weather interfering with riding in Scotland……no way 😜
It’s worth going back for though 👍

It is!
Absolutely stunning.
Epic place Torridon ❤️🏴
Very true
Incredible! Drone footage unreal, great effort, some mileage that and the remoteness freaks me out a bit 😮
The remoteness is a bit of a double edge sword so to speak.
Nice one Andrew. Not jealous at all. Not one bit. No sir.
Haha, I totally believe you.
The light at the end 😮
Worked out pretty well 👌
Always a favourite .
Always will be 👍
🚴🚴 Great Stuff buddy enjoyed the Video 😉🤙🤙
Cheers Taffy😊
Stunning.
It really is!
Soo amazing awesome trail lovet🤙🤙🤙
Cheers dude
Amazing
Well that was 21 minutes of me grinning like an idiot - lovely!
Glad to hear it 👍
Wow!
such a great place to ride, we’re going up in two weeks to do it again 😎
Have fun!
@@McTrailRider when was this filmed?
@@One-foot-skank 20th of March

Amazing Video as always Andrew! Is there any trails near Robert the Bruce's Cave! just wondering?🤔
Ae forest and Kirroughtree would be good options I think.
Absolutely stunning! I'm planning to go to Torridon in June.
Which route would you rate higher: Lollipop or Classic Torridon?
I prefer the lollipop route, but I like to hike. The classic will appeal to far more people though, as it involves more actual riding.
Great visuals on this one. If this is in your top 5, can I ask what the other 4 are please?
I couldn’t really put them into a list, and my opinion changes quite a lot. I certainly couldn’t think of 4 adventure routes that are definitely better than this one though.
What a place! When did you film this? I haven't seen anywhere as dry as that in 18 months or so in England!
20th of March believe it or not, got very lucky 😎
I'm retiring early.. getting in my Camper.. and getting up there. Decision made.
A hasty but wise decision😜
Reckon you'd be able to do this on an emtb with a 625wh battery?
A wee day out 😉
A warm up even😜
Great vid Andy. Scenery stealing the show as ever!
Tell me about it
Can you recommend any campsites in that area? Cheers 🙏🏼
There is a very basic campsite in Torridon itself, with toilets and showers.
There was a wee campsite in Lochcarron which makes a good base for this loop, think it's still there.
You ride in the most beautiful place but definitely not for beginners, my friend 😅
Yeah, definitely not that beginner friendly this one.
9:43 Most of that ride would be f%in hell moments, for me anyway 😄
Guys from “Pinned TV”?
You’ve lost me
not pointing fingers, just curious: do members of the MTB community ever do any hill path repair work?
I prefer the Classic to the Lollipop as the hike-a-bike is less brutal! Heading up next week but don’t expect to score the same weather as you
Completely rational opinion there.
The weather is good there right now……. So next week will be wild no doubt😜
