    These guys are honest people. I called them and ask to buy a part, water inlet valve.
    And before the nice lady , Joyce, would sell me the part she told me to check the valve first and gave me sound advice. It worked and I didn't need the part after all. Saved me almost a hundred bucks...
    Thank you.

    I just replaced the washer water inlet valve. I had trouble and found this video. It told me exactly how to do it. It was easy, if you can change a light bulb you can get your washer repaired if you follow this video. Pay particular attention to using a putty knife to remove the top a screwdriver will not work. Also make sure to mark the hot, cold and any electrical connectors before removing them.

    Sounds like maybe the water level switch contacts could be sticking together. The motor and the water fill valve should not get power at the same time. The tub should fill, then the power is sent to the motor. It could also be in the timer. If you need more help troubleshooting this you can post your question in our repair forum and the techs will help you out.

    Make sure you check the hoses and screens first, to be sure they are not clogged. You will probably have to take the front panel off and then remove the washer top. Its not hard but is more than I can explain here. Please post your question on our repair forum and the techs will help you out.

    Good job on the washer! If the dryer is electric I would start with the element. Make sure you have the power off while testing!! It should have continuity.

  • @appliancepartspros
    @appliancepartspros  11 лет назад

    You will also have to inspect the hose that goes from the switch to the tub. Look for any cracks or holes. If there is any damage or leaks it will not allow proper pressure up to the switch. Also make sure the air dome where the lower hose attaches is clean and free of damage, leaks. When the tub starts to over fill, not to the point of overflowing, unplug the washer, if the water still comes in it could be the water valve is getting stuck in the open position.

    This is great! We have a LSR7233EQ0 that recently - and only sometimes - won't fill on rinse. However, the agitator will still kick in at some point while on rinse. So at first I thought to replace these inlet valves, but I'm wondering if this might also have something to do with the water-level pressure switch/system? I'm seeing how that system works with the hose that needs integrity, etc, and wondering if that could also cause the lack of filling? Thanks!

    If it agitates with no water it could be the water level switch is stuck in the full position. Which means the washer thinks its full so it starts to agitate. Check the pressure tube for any damage or obstructions, if its all good then check out the switch itself.

    Great video, I thought the issue that I had was the inlet valve at first. But now I'm starting to think I was totally wrong, because the washer will start to fill and the cold water will continue to fill regardless of the level. It will start to agitate will start running and the cold water will continue to keep running all over the flooding the floor. Then it will get stuck in a cycle and not run at all. Do you have any advice for me at all please! Thank you! Don Kain.

    • @appliancepartspros
      @appliancepartspros  9 лет назад

      DON KAIN A washer that over fills usually point to a bad water level switch. Either the switch has failed or a hole in the pressure line.

    Does the water inlet valve affect the water level switch and water temperature switch?.........many thanks!

    • @appliancepartspros
      @appliancepartspros  10 лет назад

      They all work together to fill the tub. When you start the cycle the water temperature switch tells the water valve which solenoids to open for the correct the water temperature. When the tub is empty power goes to the water valve until it fills up the tub. Once the tub is full the water valve shuts off and it starts to wash.

      How does it know when to shut off for a small load or a medium load?

    • @appliancepartspros
      @appliancepartspros  10 лет назад

      It uses air pressure. The clear tubing that goes down to the bottom of the tub, as the tub fills with water air pressure goes up it to the switch. Once it gets to the correct level the contacts inside the switch open and shut the water off.

    I have a Whirlpool LSR8010PQ2 ... I set it to cold/cold, it runs cold water...but, then on the rinse it comes out hot, just started doing this recently.
    Would the problem be the "temperature control switch" or the "Inlet Valve"?

    my whirlpool duet sport wont allow water to enter, it went successfully through half a cycle then stopped. I was able to set it to drain and spin, but now when i set it to start a new load, it just grrrrrrrrs when it should start filling. I did have an error code of f1, which i believes indicates a short on the board. Is this generally fixable by soldering? I repaired the dryer board this way.

    • @appliancepartspros
      @appliancepartspros  9 лет назад

      Samanda Most people just replace the board, if its bad. If you are trained in board repair/electronics you might want to do it, but in general they are just replaced.
