Good watch for the price, even though the Thermometer and Compass are more gimmicks than useful features.
Just picked one up on clearance at Wal-Mart for $12! What a deal!!

You need to set magnetic declination! It is very important... just look up how much it is in your local area... in NY where I live it's 13 degrees west .. all you do is input that into your watch....

Mine is about 15 years old. Works awesome. Battery lasts about 3 years for me. I drain them .
It is a well made watch.
@@nemanjatosovic yeah mine is all beat up on the surface and the paint is missing in a lot of spots. But the thing just keeps working. I never take it off for showers. Instead I leave it on all the time 24/7 and just replace the watch band every 6 years or so.
Personally I like the sgw-100 better than the G Shock. The reason why I picked the sg100 over the G-Shock is because it has a little bit of a lower profile on the face. And I believe the face looks nicer.
TRUTH ABSOLUTE I actually do not use my often as I’m currently mostly wearing my dw-5600e, but every now and then I put the sgw-100 on my wrist and rock it for a day or two, the design is one of my favs, only thing I would change are the straps but I like keeping everything original. For what you pay, it’s such a great value.
In fact the strap cannot be easily replaced with 'a really nice one' because the strap fittings are so specialused. If anyone finds a non-casio replacement please post a link!

I cant remember I gave this watch away. It was a fine fit and I don't remember there being too little or too much slack

Mariana Higueras i would recommend a G-Shock as they are rated to 200m. This watch is rated to 100m.

I got mine on sale for about $23 at Target. But, I wouldn't pay much more than that because as far as functionality I don't believe it's any better than a Casio from the 80s.
Stopwatch, Timer, multi alarms, etc... is all old technology. And yes, the temp and compass are just a gimmick.
I bought it strictly for it's looks at a cheap price.
Unless you abuse them they'll usually last forever probably because the negative face saves on battery life.
I had an old basic Casio in the early 80s whose battery lasted 12-13 years.
Temp and compass are no more a gimmick than timer, stopwatch, multi alarms...it all depends of your individual needs! Obviously the temp function is useless for you because you don't need it! But for me it's an awesome feature for that price! (I'm a farmer)

maybe it measures temperature under water, which would be ok if it's precise... one can know the sea temp when swimming... other-ways temp would be off by body temp, where exactly is temp sensor lokated if someone knows?
