- One of my jobs as Orpington’s MP is to make sure our local businesses have the best possible environment in which to trade and grow. It’s therefore very good news that the UK has now become the 4th largest exporter in the world since Brexit. This will help remove trade barriers and open up new opportunities in global markets.
Thak you for opposing Mayor Khans ULEZ scam Mr Bacon, I live in Orpington and I have a disabled daughter who lives in Penge, I can no longer get to her bungalow in my Motorhome which has done 35,000 miles since new to do jobs for her or visit, as a pensioner I can't afford to buy a new car, Labour hates the poor and working class.
What nonsense is this? The latest ONS statistics have us as no.14 in the export trade tables.
Unlike many of our competitors our exports have not yet reached pre-covid levels.
The Trans- Pacific Partnership is a joke. Those countries already had trade agreements with us as individual countries and they bought precious little from us because we were not selling much of what they need. At best it is thought that it might yield £1.8 Bn. That is a tiny compared to what we lost because of the incompetent EU exit deal.
This is simply more lies from a Government which has allowed our economy to languish and sink into recession.
Economic predictions are that interest rates will start rising in the Autumn and at the same time our GDP is set to shrink again.
We have the highest level of taxation since the early 1960's.
People are much poorer now, in real terms than they were when the Conservatives came into power in 2010.

This government has been economically exceptionally incompetent.
