Matt Mullis I suspect that it is as Bob said in the video - if you have already invested in the ecosystem for decent video and are happy then perhaps you don’t need to go down this path. I have a converted 360 component cable on my OG Xbox feeding my TV via an OSSC. Bob’s confirmation that this isn’t smoke makes me think I won’t be regretting the purchase.

As for 360/One/SX at the mo, I still don't really trust the backwards compatibility options. The games using the 720p patches in conjunction with the HDMI mod look really good but while looking at footage for some games, I notice the frame rate seems to suffer greatly, even with a RAM upgraded Xbox. It's too bad many games are either stuck on slowly disappearing OG Xboxes or necessitate the purchase of an entire Xbox One just to utilize Microsoft's nerfed and severely limited emulator. I'm hopeful for further progress in the Xbox emulation scene considering we don't need to port between different processor architectures. The only major hurdle I can see is the Nvidia MCPX chip. Can't wait to play these games at even greater resolutions than 720p, add anti aliasing, improved anisotropic filtering, or even see debugging and reverse engineering tools implemented so the community can fix games or create mods.

There's quite a few people who have been waiting for their orders from MakeMhz for months now, and very little seems to be happening? No information is given out, other than a few blog posts about delays and issues. Maybe @Bob should do a post on that, and try to figure out what the h€ll is going on, if it's all just a scam or not, as it can't possibly take 5 months to ship out the prepaid orders, even with issues and waiting for some QSB's etc.

I love it, but I need an optical output for sound unfortunately.
There's optical audio extractors that can take audio from HDMI and output it as optical. My HDMI switch actually has this feature built in. Pretty handy way to get optical output out all my retro consoles.
@@NazarSu Yea I saw that after I posted, I'm preordering one.
@@MichaelM28 I feed my audio into an audio interface and mix it with the sound my PC outputs. This way I can hear my console games and something like a youtube/discord in the same pair of headphones. The audio interface doesn't have an HDMI port since it's built for audio. This applies to anyone using a hardware mixer as well.
@@MichaelM28 My headphone amp has optical and not hdmi?
1:36 Why does the CRT TV looks so crisp? Doesn’t a CRT tv have like 480p or something
That's a Sony PVM 20L5, one of the sharpest CRT's ever made. It can accept 240p, 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i.
@@RetroRGB That is amazing. Like it is really future proof. I just checked the prices and they are so high. Could you make a video where you play Midnight Club 3 on this TV?
Do they have a Dreamcast version?
A different company makes an EXCELLENT one: ruclips.net/video/ROjAwpFsoIU/видео.html
Is this worth selling my Chimeric HDMI adapter for?
Magnificent
So I bought an Mclassic awhile ago (for 80$USD) and as you suggested didn't notice a huge difference... Until I played Demon's Souls for the ps3. I noticed a *massive* difference in that game, bigger than any other. It really looked like it had 2x FXAA on it. IMPORTANT though-- this is the ONLY game I noticed a huge difference, with others the difference was not even remotely as noticeable.
The DVD drives on the OG Xbox has been dying non stop, so good luck keeping your Xbox non modded.
biscoito1r I modify LG drives both with the pcb and firmware to act exactly as stock drives which are much better quality and last. I also mod the dvd housing so they sit flush and with all 6 xbox bolts too for a true factory fit. No xbox mod required, work on stock xbox's and read faster too!
@@KD--jz5zi You have a guide up for that? Or is it a service you provide?
TofumanFC3S Plenty of guides up in google - search for 'gdr8163 xbox'
Should bring up the guides for you, same ones I use 👍
Hey Bob will this thing be conpati with the Alladin Chip?.My Xbox is modded with Alladin
Good question. It SHOULD be, but I only tested it on that one Xbox.
Ok so I have a fully stock Xbox no mods at all , can I install the Xboxhd+ and I’ll be able to play without having to do anything else??
Yes, absolutely. But if you also install their modchip, you get more options.
@07:59 deinterlace 480p... I know what you mean though
Does it works on PAL Xbox ? I mean in Europe the original Xbox can’t output 480p or higher, so this pcb will bypass the pal dashboard?
Stop making me spend money. Install video soon? And yes you are unbiased. You fairly discussed the differences between the psio and xstation
My question is will it translate Japanese's to English
I softmodded my xbox evolutionx how do I force 480p
Yea $60 I'll take a chance. So this month has been the GC-Loader, the PS1 Digital, and the X-Station.. Been a expensive month for retro modding :P
It was only $60? Now it’s $100
Is this available for Germany and can I use it on my HD CRT which can do up to 1080i and has hdmi port
I believe they ship worldwide and yes, it should work great on the HD CRT!
@@RetroRGB Nice then I might go for it
Can you make a video on forcing 480i to 480p, I really want to play Spongbob battle for bikini bottoms and its 480i only.
That's more of an Xbox modding tutorial. I strongly recommend Modern Vintage Gamer's videos for that. He's a dev as well as a RUclipsr, so his videos are filled with good knowledge.
@@MichaelM28 thank you! Il'll try to give this a shot and see if it works!
There's quite a few people who have been waiting for their orders from MakeMhz for months now, and very little seems to be happening?
No information is given out, other than a few blog posts about delays and issues.
I'm assuming people will start to request their money back from Paypal soon, as it's getting closer to 180 days since the first orders, which is the limit for requesting a refund.
Maybe @Bob should do a post on that, and try to figure out what the h€ll is going on, if it's all just a scam or not, as it can't possibly take 5 months to ship out the prepaid orders, even with issues and waiting for some QSB's etc.

@@RetroRGB Thanks, but again, a couple of blog posts from december doesn't really explain why orders that were prepaid in august still hasn't shipped, or why there's no update being sent out to customers, no emails, nothing other than those few blog posts?
I've seen orders that are now at 140'ish days since payment. Pretty soon those people won't have much choice other than requesting a refund within the 180 day limit (PayPal), or just trust that Dustin will deliver at some point in the future, whenever the "issues" are resolved etc.
TSOP mod is the best mod you can do to your Xbox (1 ~ 1.5)
Will this allow native 4:3 480p?
Yup!
New intro with the 6th generation goodness.
Yup! I'm still debating if I want to move over to those permanently, or only when talking about 6th gen stuff.
@@RetroRGB Option 2 please.
nice mod, but why i dont pay with Paypal ?!
Game 3:40 ?
Anyone have the 480i to 480p bios hack link?
The xbox 360 is not a good choose. More of them ended up in the land fill because of the "RROD" problem. I will be installing the stand-alone in 202
