Quite honestly, I like this song and have great respect and love for both the old and new In Flames. I grew up listening to In Flames as a 90's kid and somehow their evolution just hasn't bothered me. I think it has to do with a person's perspective and none is going to have the same. We shouldn't rip on each other for our difference in opinions. Rather should accept the fact and move on.
The first song I heard from In Flames was The Quiet Place somewhere around 2007, but then I quickly found a bunch of their other songs. Some were newer, but also found some of the older songs. I never had a problem with them changing their style. I would say I lean just slightly to their older material, mostly because those melodies and riffs are some of the best, but I also love the new stuff just as much. Probably because I listen to a whole bunch of music genres so them sounding different doesn't bother me.
The change in sound is also good for me because sometimes I feel like listening to Lunar Strain stuff while other times I'm in the mood for something from Battles or whatever. There's a lot to choose from for me. Plus, their new songs from the upcoming album sound a bit closer to the older style, sound nice and heavy.
Such a beautiful band. They keep putting out phenomenal records year after year. Much love, In Flames. Thank you for years of amazing music!!!

i really appreciate in flames on making every album not to sound like the last one. i love how creative they are with their catchy melodies and nice melodic guitars and nice bass grooves and hard hitting drums .I'm not going to compare album's but i love this one if i want to listen to their old stuff ill go and pop in a old album but i love new stuff it's exciting to hear and especially hearing them live i already saw them twice ! looking forward to seeing them again live

I love everything in this song!
I have been a fan since I first purchased Colony in 1999 and then collected everything else that I could find from the band. They certainly put out some of my favorite music from that decade. I was let down by the post Clayman direction however I have still enjoyed in flames live since and I really like this song. I will keep checking in with In Flames but I also greatly look forward to new music from Jesper Strömblad and Peter Iwers!

pause the video at 0:53. the black gloves and coat the guy is wearing look wolf grey. I spent at least an hour going through the official videos for "the truth" and "the end" trying to determine if the gloves were black or grey.

I used to listen to these guys before they decided to sound like a mix between Korn and Håkan Hellström... In a way I can understand the change. I would never last myself if I had to to growl on every song.
I love old school In Flames, and the new songs as well! Sure it's different, but it's still awesome, at least to me it is. I listen to all their albums and even though I would say I like their old songs just the tiniest bit more, I still enjoy the new songs too!
Also, I don't know what it is, but this song makes me feel a little emotional. If a song can do that to someone, then it must mean they did something right! Or am I alone on this one?

I'm fine with "Siren charms" it's a great album, although I had to hear it 3 or 4 times to get used to the softer sound, but this song sounds like it was made for the radio program, so that mom dad and the little fellow can listen to some in flames... oh man in which direction are we drifting away now??

So, reading the comments I can conclude that most of the people don't like it because it reminds them bands like Imagine Dragons, Coldplay, etc., and because it doesn't sound like older songs. Come on, it has nothing to do with those bands, and you have to let musicians try other styles, expand their horizons. In Flames will not become a pop band, so chill. I really like this song, it's catchy, it's not thaaat soft and I can assure you that if this same song was released by an unknown garage band, everybody would like it, because it is not a bad song. The same happened with Helloween, with discs as Cameleon (1993) and Unarmed (2009). Those contained songs with a really different style than the traditional style of the band, and people did the same you are doing now, throwing hate, but I like those albums, and today a lot of people like the Cameleon album and miss the Michael Kiske era. So, chill, people, enjoy the music.
