Have you heard March To The Shore, Come Clarity, Disconnected, Sounds of a Playground Fading? Those are my other favorite songs from this band that I have heard so far.
don't hate on In Flames respect and appreciate real musicians with real talent. there's not many left! we are extremely lucky to have this band. these guys have have been around for more then 20 years.
Sprinting through the streets in Saints Row at the speed of sound with this song booming was one of the greatest things you could experience in a video game. Simple, yet incredible
I haven't listened to In Flames for years... this sounds like some of the more melodic moments on The Haunted's 'The Dead Eye' which IMO is an incredible album. Softer for sure, but still really well written I'm pleasantly surprised :D
Honestly i love the sound and the progression this band has made since their first albums. I find that through their progression that each album has built on each other and just makes this band stick out. Honestly I love growling/ heavy metal core music, but this addition of melody to the metal core is amazing. If you disagree have a great day and enjoy the music that fits you, if you agree have a great day enjoy the album and whatever they continue to work on and put out. But to all. CONTINUE TO LET ROCK LIVE!!!
*Looks at comments* Okay, am I the only one who likes this album? I guess I'll just always be the melodic kind of guy. Seriously though, loved this album.
I can respect that. Colony for life. I have the same sentiment, but if I had to be totally honest, I couldn't stand A Sense Of Purpose. I don't hate Siren Charms but I feel like it could of been done a bit better.
Maybe i miss the old albums but seeing this song and alot more from the new album live was amazing. I sang along with every song like all the others :D it was 2011 in In flames hometown, in Scandinavium. They are great live!
Heard the chorus of this at Download this year whilst I was getting a burger, thought it was so badass I had to see who it was, ended up in the pits for the full set and I now love them! Awesome band!
took me about 2 years of very dedicated practice almost every day and it's my proudest achievement in my life...but here's the crux, once you learned it it's "easy" to do but god damn it's the most exhausting exercise and that part is never getting much easier. I can completely understand why Anders could never do it live because after each song I need a break or else I get light headed, and in the case of Deliver Us and Darker Times even the last chorus is a struggle to get through. More than once I felt the blacking out phenomenon where the edges of my sight closed in, it's really THAT exhausting. I wish more people would apprechiate the genius of this vocal style because first of all it's the most difficult to learn of all the styles I know, you have to pour your soul out every time you perform it and literally no other prominent vocalist does it...Sound Of A Playground Fading is where he uses it most dominantly and I hate that people shit on it because it's no gothenburg style melodeath when in reality it's much more unique than that
The more years go by, the more I like this song. I stil lremember how everyone were saying how shitty it is, how they should go back to their roots and other trve-metulz stuff. But hell, this is the IN FLAMES that I want! "Reroute To Reamin" is still my favorite IF album but SOAPF was pretty damn good as well. And this song is just incredible!
Per TheHappyPhotographer they don't want the same album, they want the same band, with the same characteristic music style, playing new songs. if they turn from death metal to pop and they release a new album, it will be new, but noone will like it, at least not the fans
Zombot i didn't say THAT'S pop, it was just an example, that's why there's "IF" in front of the sentence =) i'm tired of ppl who respond without reading my comments :P go tell nightwish fans that the band is still awesome even though there's a new singer. oh wait, there's no nightwish fans anymore, everyone gave up on the band cuz they hated the change (i'm obviously talking about Anette and i guess that's why they kicked her out in the end)
Per TheHappyPhotographer You're denying facts. They're not getting better, they're waterwashing themselves to fit on a competitive market. I can understand that, they have to make a living, but by any means they're better. Personally, I'll go back to Whoracle.
Oier Bjj If they were "waterwashing themselves to fit in a market" They wouldn't have released Siren Charms and Battles. It's too much of a weird mixture to fit into the thriving hard rock scene. They tried to put that shit on the hard rock radio station and it got knocked off really fast by stupid shit that's preferred.
If there's one thing metal fans love more than metal, it's bitching about the metal they listen to. Apparently I can't like "old" In Flames and "new" In Flames. Shit, man, it's all metal. Just enjoy it, I say.
i totally agree, we need the old school melodeath, that is dying (dark trankility is doing shit too now), through oblivion made me raging, i liked the new in flames but the new new in flames is just.....
Yes for me and for all metal heads inflames will always be a great rock band there guitar solos and bass drums and vocals are a best i was upset when some of the members of inflames had to leave so inflames live on jamming okay for the people and to the fans okay janders
I'm not a big fan of the "new" In Flames, but this song is fucking awesome. The only other band I can think of that would put a ferris wheel in a video is Alestorm. They like to have fun with their videos, too. For reference, see their video for Magnetic North.
Everyone's sitting here arguing about the subgenre of metal this is, complaining about how it's ridiculous for a band to grow and change, and I'm sitting here realizing that this is one of the most badass in flames songs there is
I hope their new album is more in the direction of Come Clarity. It wasn't as soft and poppy as this, it had a perfect mix of old and new. Songs like Take This Life was a good addition for the newer fans, and Pacing Death's Trail was a great throw back to the Clayman sound. I know their never going to make another Jester's race again, they just need a bit more edge to their music.
Saw this song in may 2017 at Carolina Rebellion and I gotta say it was INSANEEEEE to be right in front of Anders and all the new band members. The vodka literally wore off during his forty minute set. So worth an hour and twenty minutes wait
I could care less what era of in flames I listen to whether it's Whoracle or I, The Mask. In Flames kill every song, they're all headbangers to different degrees in their own rights. Some make you wanna mosh, some make you wanna just groove to it and others are all out war. The new re-rerecords sound a little flat and bassless but they're still solidly produced and the actual audio quality is fine. Anders' vocals on the re-records are better in my opinion. In Flames we trust, no matter the era
+Guitar Whores The production, riffs and drums of BabyMetal are actually very amazing and brutal, it's just the vocals, but their guitars and songs actually sound better than most bands, and no im not a fan.
This was the first song I heard on the metal/rock station in saint's row 4. I was hyped and thought every song on that station was going to be like this. I was wrong, all others sucked :D
No, but I remember when they were Groove Metal lol I dont think they will be opening for Exodus and Slayer anytime soon. Not mad, they earn a right to change it is they're music not mine but bands of the past such as Slayer and Pantera stood the test of times to show you don't have to change but some bands feel they deserve that right and grow bored which is why Metallica has changed so much since way they back in 1988. Being an old man these days it is nice to slow down some.
Hey there. So listen, I was brought to this song/band after looking at the Ibanez basses new for 2016, and Peter Iwers has his own 5 string model, so here I landed to listen to him play that 5 string. I've never heard of In Flames in my life.I've now listened to a bunch of songs because they are really excellent and they are full of talent...you can tell these guys are really talented, and yes, Peter sound excellent on that 5 string!I read a bunch of comments about them ranging from "There's nothing wrong with these newer songs" to "What the fuck happened to my band???"Well, I really like this song and most of the album, and I can see where they started to change the way they played and got more away from the metal thing. And, it does appear that the fans are not super happy, which is understandable. Most bands change pace...they have been doing this for what...25 years? As a fan of another band who has changed drastically over the years, I understand your pain, and I try to embrace the fact that they are progressing in their careers to some other form of the band I grew up with. Rush...the days of Limelight, Freewill and 2112 is over. They just evolved into something else and while I'm not super crazy about the last 2 albums, it's still them and I see what they are doing and how they have grown up in the last 40+ years, so to speak.Honestly, I can see what the complaint is from everyone. But for someone who just stepped into the world of your favourite band, I have to tell you, my opinion only, these new songs really sound good. So, with that I depart. I love this group...both ends of the musical scale and I'm glad I was brought here to hear In Flames! (I think I'll get that 5 string!)
probably the only song i like from their latest album... and to think i like every other song they've released prior to "sounds of a playground blah blah"...shame. that's not even death metal anymore. if they keep going like this they'll start singing with bieber in a few years
For your information Bieber doesn't do music anymore. So probably in a few years they won't be able to make music with him. But yeah, I get the comment..
Ugh, there is always one to write some bullshit comment like this. In Flames were never "death metal" to start with. Progression is the only way to stay at the top in music. Which is exactly what IF has done. If you want them to sounds how they used to be, go and listen to their old albums.
Alexander Pentecost even if u're deaf and u just drop by wikipedia and search "in flames" u'll see: "genres: melodic death metal, alternative metal". i'm not against progression, but that's not it, that's butchering their own music style which is exactly what in flames fans liked. i'm actually listening to their old albums instead of the new ones :D but what i don't get is why u're so butthurt over my opinion. if u think their new album is the best one so far and u like it so much u're free to state ur own opinion which is completely fine and then go back to having multiple eargasms while listening to it, i'll still hold on to my opinion and i won't bother u at all.
Yeah, Wikipedia says so, But he's right you know, In Flames stopped being melodic death metal and became more proggresive over time, you just have to listen Well, this started in Colony, sadly, their writting stopped being about astronomy and mithology, and started being more about personal issues since Clayman, and today, this is their worst writting from all their albums, I mean just read "The Attic" lyrics, so childish compared to some of their other materisl
pissbrothers6833 Because it's nothing like what In Flames originated as. This sounds like something Linkin Park would produce if they wanted to up the edge in their songs a little. In Flames has gone from awesome melodic death metal to shitty neo-metal.
NerdyGuyRanting Actually was not in a car just in the ambient music (you know that virtual radio that's on everywhere) I really enjoy it a lot more since I heard that song in the game :)

Remind me I'm golden
The fortress above the sun
Why don't you spend nowhere with me
Follow the river and the path of the ones
Write our names on the shore
Forever I can't find
Struggling in a world undefined
Decide how you want it to be
I'm not eternity
Fly into the distance
Disappear for awhile
I can't make sense of this
But we're here today feeling alive
It starts to fall apart
Let me take control
(Reminisce)
The days and nothing more
Something I will find again
(Deliver us)
Can't hear the words you say
But it doesn't really matter
I'll give the world to you if you just
Fly into the distance
Disappear for awhile
I can't make sense of this
But we're here today alive
Fly into the distance
Disappear for awhile
I can't make sense of this
But we're here today alive
I could play this song all day long. Props to In Flames.
Definitely a good song to hear when being introduced to the band for the first time.
Guitar Hero introduced me to In Flames.... This very tune
Have you heard March To The Shore, Come Clarity, Disconnected, Sounds of a Playground Fading? Those are my other favorite songs from this band that I have heard so far.
Also Free Fall, Crawl Through Knives, Club/Cloud Connected, these guys have so many badass songs.
They came a long way. I'm loving the production aspect of this album. And musical aspect too. The chorus in this song is very nice.
This was one of my favourite albums of all time. I still love this song.
They'll always be a great band (in my opinion). Love this song!
this album is so stupdly good! is like in flames finally controls the "sense of purpose" style
don't hate on In Flames respect and appreciate real musicians with real talent. there's not many left! we are extremely lucky to have this band. these guys have have been around for more then 20 years.
No they haven't. All the old members are gone.
One of the best bands of all time, Love Inflames.
The chorus is the best part we need more of that !
Sprinting through the streets in Saints Row at the speed of sound with this song booming was one of the greatest things you could experience in a video game. Simple, yet incredible
This is one of the handful of songs that marks the stage of my existence where music became a significant part of my life! MEMORIES!
I haven't listened to In Flames for years... this sounds like some of the more melodic moments on The Haunted's 'The Dead Eye' which IMO is an incredible album. Softer for sure, but still really well written I'm pleasantly surprised :D
I never thought a Ferris Wheel would ever be a part of a heavy metal music video!
at 1:15 his vocals and lyrics just hit me in a special place making me feel emotional making me think about my mother
Honestly i love the sound and the progression this band has made since their first albums. I find that through their progression that each album has built on each other and just makes this band stick out. Awesome band!! Love every track in every album!! \m/
*Looks at comments* Okay, am I the only one who likes this album? I guess I'll just always be the melodic kind of guy. Seriously though, loved this album.
Definitely not, I love this album aswell.
Yay! A fellow rebel! XD
No, you're not! I loved it!
I love this album as well ! :D
This albums amazing! All of their albums to date have been great... melodic rhythmic madness and passionate lyrics...
i love old AND new in flames...i fucking love every album in flames ever made :D
I've probably seen this band live more than any other. They always blow Me away.
I bought this album when it came out, every In Flames album is awesome. *Edit* Can't pick a favorite anymore they are just too damn good.
I can respect that. Colony for life. I have the same sentiment, but if I had to be totally honest, I couldn't stand A Sense Of Purpose. I don't hate Siren Charms but I feel like it could of been done a bit better.
Whoracle is the best
***** I honestly feel like Whoracle is a lesser Jester Race, and typically I can only listen to a few songs on it now.
Every album is best. Because they are all different! They all have lovely characters. And the new album is beast!!!
Come Clarity
I don't really care if it's old or new, I love all of In Flames' songs. They're too good to miss out on.
Amen!!!!!!!!!
Only could IN Flames make a giant wheel badass!
One of my go-to songs for Saints Row 4. Nothing like flying around a city rocking out to this.
Bom demaaaaaaaiiiisssss....é para deixar as caixas de som no último volume e fazer a casa dos vizinhos dançarem!!!
Old stuff is better but the new stuff is pretty damn good. Great song!
***** this!
Maybe i miss the old albums but seeing this song and alot more from the new album live was amazing. I sang along with every song like all the others :D it was 2011 in In flames hometown, in Scandinavium. They are great live!
Forever In Flames fan.
This song just stay in your head all day long..
it dosnt matter how much they change their still my favorate band.

This vocal style is so ridiculously hard to duplicate.

This is my favorite In Flames song...
fight me!
Loved this band since 2002 can't wait to see them live again 🤘
Sweden thank you so much for In Flames you must be so proud !
Respect from Poland

I only listen to Caveman Music, banging on sticks and rocks. Lol, Filthy Frank's vid resonates with this idea
AMEN
Nah new in flames is shit i choose not to like it
This is not even metal lol
@@rogumbo you're right, it's heavy metal

Einfach nur AWESOME *-*
Great song from IF!! Brilliant Melodeath my friends!! < sj~13 > #IN FLAMES- Deliver Us [Sounds Of A Playground Fading]
Finally a better singing. Thank you!
This was three years ago. So it's more like, finally you discovered it.
Yeah dude, just recently discovered. His singing is much better IMHO
Fuck it, no clean singing, this is a melodic death metal band, not the Jonas Brothers
Juanelo LBMHunter I mean they used to be, but not for the past 12 years.
i totally agree, we need the old school melodeath, that is dying (dark trankility is doing shit too now), through oblivion made me raging, i liked the new in flames but the new new in flames is just.....
Happy 2018 with this awesome song and fireworks!
I don't know how they did it, but they made ferris wheels metal as fuck
poor Daniel, shoved in the small box with his drumkit
I know lol. I wonder what they had to go through to get permission to make this video
They're like the dethklok of Europe
Implying this is metal.
lmfao
Yes for me and for all metal heads inflames will always be a great rock band there guitar solos and bass drums and vocals are a best i was upset when some of the members of inflames had to leave so inflames live on jamming okay for the people and to the fans okay janders

I love this fucking song

IN FLAMES WE TRUST
Сегодняшний день я посвящаю этой песне.
P.s Спустя столько много лет,она у меня играет,и будет играть дальше ❤
Such an awesome idea for a music vid, woulda been awesome to watch them shoot with all the fireworks goin off
I'm not a big fan of the "new" In Flames, but this song is fucking awesome. The only other band I can think of that would put a ferris wheel in a video is Alestorm. They like to have fun with their videos, too. For reference, see their video for Magnetic North.
Interesting story for you, I got on stage with Alestorm back in 2008 at Bloodstock festival :) One year previous, In flames Headlined :D
I agree with this! Come Clarity was perfect, IMO.
Even so, I like their new stuff too.
I listened to this album on repeat so many times I used to know every song lyric by heart.
1:19 "there's a beer for a wall"
Oh how I miss this old spam comment wich said "Shut up and enjoy the music"
+afromarco005 Scroll up
shut up and enjoy the music
Thumbs up if you are listening to this in the current year.
Thumbs up if you are still using RUclips!
I remember the days where In Flames still had some catchy tunes and I could actually headbang without being annoyed, I'll just go back to my Clayman.
yeah i was like wow this song sound really cool.... and then the guy start to sing u-u
Buhu, so sad that they don't make songs that all sound a like.. Idiotic.
the only good song off this album was fear is the weakness im going back to come clarity
Not everything can stay the same forever, a good band needs variation as well
idk what you guys are talking about, this album was epic as hell!
Saw this song in may 2017 at Carolina Rebellion and I gotta say it was INSANEEEEE to be right in front of Anders and all the new band members. The vodka literally wore off during his forty minute set. So worth an hour and twenty minutes wait

ive listened to this song at least 100 times. so good
The only thing more metal than Ferris wheels is cotton candy.
and the tweed cap (whatever that is) don't forget how metal that is. much better then the dreadlocks.
***** You probably think Babymetal is metal because it has "metal" in the name.
***** So am I :D
+Guitar Whores The production, riffs and drums of BabyMetal are actually very amazing and brutal, it's just the vocals, but their guitars and songs actually sound better than most bands, and no im not a fan.
+Guitar Whores I think metal cotton candy is a food safety violation :P
Dont fuck with the Saints!
This was the first song I heard on the metal/rock station in saint's row 4. I was hyped and thought every song on that station was going to be like this. I was wrong, all others sucked :D
they had song 2 by blur
Saint's Row 4 radio sucked ass but Saint's Row 2 was fucking brutal and glorious.
Agreed. SR2 had Deftones among other amazing bands. Think Chimaira and Lamb of God made it onto that one.
@@Music_games_history Fuck off, bitch.
I love the vocals❤
Remember when In Flames were Melodic DeathMetal? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
So what does that matter? Are you implying you pick your music based on genre, rather than how it actually sounds?
i love family guy!! and In Flames.( i got it dude)
No, but I remember when they were Groove Metal lol I dont think they will be opening for Exodus and Slayer anytime soon. You, guys are always amazing. I don't know one song of you that's bad. Really nice work.
thank you saints row IV
probably the only song i like from their latest album... and to think i like every other song they've released prior to "sounds of a playground blah blah"...shame. that's not even death metal anymore. if they keep going like this they'll start singing with bieber in a few years
***** i'm glad i amused u =)
After Anders cut his hair in flames became soft as fuck
Also after Jesper left..
norwaydude96
that's it
When you cut your long hair you lose your power. I learned that in the story of Samson. ;p
Have you seen them live? They tore Copenhagen down last night
Truly awesome
anyone else thinkin about saints row IV while listening to this song? :D
YES! :)
***** you lose gtfo
No. But is a damn fine game!
Yes
only song on my mixed tape in saints row IV on xboxone
What.... What the fuck is this?
Awesomeness my friend...awesomeness
Not at all.
lazylank
why ?
pissbrothers6833
Because it's nothing like what In Flames originated as. This sounds like something Linkin Park would produce if they wanted to up the edge in their songs a little. In Flames has gone from awesome melodic death metal to shitty neo-metal.
lazylank
typicall Metal comunautarism.
Saints Row 4 ✊
the jester race was the first album i listened to by in flames and i haven't looked since!

+F051 If someone had told me this song was in SR4 I might actually have used a car at some point in the game...
NerdyGuyRanting Actually was not in a car just in the ambient music (you know that virtual radio that's on everywhere) I really enjoy it a lot more since I heard that song in the game :)
+NerdyGuyRanting Cars are for people who don't have superpowers and idiots who play a game with superpowers but don't use them
+NoForksGiven You can listen to the radio while using superpowers.
+F051 nope, second best song, first one is... What is love :D
I'll be sending my demo to Century Media..soon
