Now that you covered the weird mismatched servos in your video Lee, concerning the rare occurance of switching the servo leads to the flight controller to make right go up, and left go down as shown in the INAV user interface. Now that problem is addressed and all good, but when I put my model into self-leveling modes it does the opposite correction of what I want commanded, is there a fix for this?
Great vid as always. I do have a problem setting up extra servos, like a LED beacon or drop hooks. Even if I setup this in mixer for a specific channel (same as on radio) nothing works. The servos move if I assign them to pitch or roll in the mixer but not to a RC channel.
Sounds like the servo is working then. I'd raise an issue with the developers on the setup you have as it shouldn't be tricky id you can see the RC channel moving in the receiver tab..
Hi Lee, is there a video coming how to do a proper maiden using the Auto level and Auto tune functions? After three flights i have noticed that the servos are trimmed quite a bit up. The atomrc dolphin flies sluggish with a nose up attitude and I have not much up elevator left to give a proper flare to land. I first used auto level in horizon mode. Then the Autotune function in Acro mode and flew around before i landed
Have you ever had to mess with the INav mixer ? Notably, in case your FC is not in the right direction (say, the little white arrow on the PCB is pointing backward).
coming from the drone world, you said if we are using inav no mixing what so ever in the radio, but then i dont see how i could set up the servos. other video's show you did need to mix 50% weight on the 2 channels to make them combine. can you just break it down simpler for what i need to do exactly to my radio that is coming from the drone world setup.
Check out the series. I cover all of that. INAV does all of the mixing for you for automatically when you select the model type. Control surfaces like elevons and v-tails are mixed for you Best of luck
Oh my! This video is not working for me. I can get the elevons on my AR Wing to move correctly with the elevator stick but no matter what I try the aileron stick moves the elevons in the same direction as if I am moving the elevator stick. I reverse the servos on the Speedybee F405 Wing FC as suggested and reverse the servo outputs in Inav outputs to make the elevons move correctly with the elevator stick but the ailerons stick still makes the elevons move both up or both down. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
The tips in the video should fix the issues 99% of the time, unless you've changed stuff in the mixer. I'd reload the mixer for the wing... Best of luck
@@Painless360 9:08 I‘ve got a very similar issue with a new Speedybee F405 WMN mini on my Baby AR Wing. Weird thing is that it never correctly takes the presets after flashing and choosing „wing w/o“ - I would always need load and apply it manually to get the servos to show up. The only way to get the servos move correctly in both manual and horizon mode was to swap the S3/S4 servo. But at autolaunch it flips 180° and goes 25°into the ground. Guess it‘s a faulty Speedybee FC… 😫
this tutorial is right on time for me and my friend who just jump into fixed wing
Thanks for all the tips, Lee! Very useful information!!! 😊
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Maiden process video out tomorrow... Best of luck

You don't use the mixer for that. You use the board orientation. See ruclips.net/video/Af-bbT-2exI/видео.html

Any idea why my servos work until I plug in the O3 Air Unit? The receiver gets completely disconnected when the air unit is connected.
You'll need to disconnect the the SBUS signal from the 03 to the FC... Best of luck

A change I had made and forgotten about was my problem. Thanks for getting me back on track.
