    Really nice. Have a few drifting PS5 joysticks, will get them replaced as soon as my analog hall effect joysticks arrive from Aliexpress. Thanks again!!

    This clarifies my idea of trying to do this myself. That's a no. Need a guy like you around to help. Looks like I'll have to just wait. Great vid though, thank you for that!

    Very informative. Is the soldering too difficult for somebody with no experience?

    • @PWDlife
      @PWDlife  4 месяца назад +5

      Hello, I have no experience. It depends on the quality of the soldering iron. So don't buy cheap ones that doesn't heat much. 350 to 400 celsius is need to melt a lead for small electronics. Just practice some PCB boards if you're doubting yourself. Also watch youtube videos about basic soldering and you're good to go like me. The difficult step in fixing controller is the opening of the shell. So you really need a spudger. Also the desoldering and soldering of the 8 wires because you need to avoid getting the soldering iron too close to other wires else it will burn the wires for rumble contraption. The calibration is a bit easy because I just accidentally did it on my own. That's why I provided an information on how to calibrate so it may help a little or gives clue to others. Remember I don't have complete fingers but I did it so you can do it.

      @@PWDlife I heard the calibration without the calibration boards would be immense difficult but you explained it very well. Thanks for the reply

    I don't fully understand the calibration process, could you elaborate on what you are doing? I have some Dualshock 4s which I want to fit hall sticks to, but I didn't know there was a calibration process

    • @PWDlife
      @PWDlife  4 месяца назад +1

      Hello, Okay I will explain. I didn't tried the hall effect of PS4 coz PS5 is my first console. If you insert a pin in the hole, not pointed pin. Do not insert too deep in the hole because you can't move the stick left and right. The stick can't move or it will just stuck if you insert the pin too deep. Just insert it a little deep until you feel the pin is dragging the surface of the sensor if you move the stick left and right. That's the moment the calibration works, if you hit the surface of the sensor in the hole. As I explained if you want to calibrate it to the left, put the pin in the 1st hole. If you want to calibrate it to the right, put the pin in the 2nd hole. If you want to calibrate it to the up, put the pin in the 1st hole. If you want to calibrate it to the down, put the pin in the 2nd hole. It's a hit or miss until you reach the center.

    Hi...the gamepad tester website dont shows analog..so do you have another site to do the calibration?

    • @PWDlife
      @PWDlife  3 месяца назад +2

      kindly use microsoft edge browser. Mozilla firefox doesnt work. I dont recommend other websites, because I found them not accurate.

      @PWDlife nah, i just swap them out for some analogs, calibrating is impossible do to the analog stick being on the daughter board, seems useless as i used 2 pairs of hall effects and both didn't work.
