An Honest Mistake is very underrated. Cool crew; botched coach robbery that turns into a chase that turns into a last stand in the shed that’s burning down. Then fleeing into the woods before continuing the shootout. The music is pretty heart-racing too.
I remember playing this mission for tyhe first time and I felt like a kid in my own family had been kidnapped. Especially after Shawn had been killed I was just filled with 'righteous anger' and I loved it.
Yeah couldn’t agree more, Chapter 3/Clements Point was the best part of the game for me. I loved that camp how it was right next to the lake, the sunsets you got there were incredible. It’s also the last time in the game where everyone is alive and in good spirits and Dutch is still somewhat sane. Just the general summery southern feel in this chapter was awesome.
On my second playthrough I decided that I was going to 100% the game. I had just completed the Weapons Expert Challenge 5 challenge by aggro-ing five random people on horses (did it in the desolate Heartlands as to not get caught) and then weapons challenge 6 popped up. Kill four enemies using a single stick of dynamite. At this point it was nighttime in game so I thought "Aight, let's go back to camp at Clemens Point, go to bed, and then think about how we're gonna do this." Then on my way through Lemoyne I saw the KKK having a meeting. I thought, "Hmmmmm." Threw a stick of dynamite in there, killed way more than 4 people, completed the challenge, and got an honor boost. Paused the game, sat back in my recliner, and just laughed for a good minute.
Im replaying the game and at the cabin in the mountains and i smiled when Dutch made the speech but made me a bit sad. I actually love Dutch alot being so charismatic caring about his people and putting the gangs needs over his own. Chapter 4and onwards is where it becomes sadder with Dutch decent into madness and Micah that prick being the devil on his shoulder pushing him to do awful things. Maybe Dutch was always like this but having Micah and him being the rat made everything worse as I feel like everyone ignores Dutch plans can an do work an the bank heist could have worked but Micah being the rat after wards. Idk once I get to valentine im just going to take my time exploring the world again and doing missions for the groups and side events till i have to move on
I did always find it funny how the gang wants to bend rules in their favor but when the rules are bent against them, "It's not how things are done right"
@@chrishilton3626 yeah, but half the time the gang was turning a blind eye to the stuff that Micah was doing to Jack and the dog. Not that he abducted Jack he just was a complete pompous dick face, and then Dutch kind of did a 180.
I love Clemens Point. My favorite spot. Waterfront property with beautiful views and fishing. Everyone in the gang is all there too and if you wish, you can leave Micah in jail till your ready to go get him.
Only scene that can compete is the end when Arthur says thank you to the horse, then tells John “get the hell outta here and be a god damn man”. I don’t think that scene is better unless you count the whole scene sequence to the end when he dies, but it was powerful and full of emotion.
Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern, is hands down the gang at their peak. The best gunslingers are present, cinematography is beautiful, even the conclusion of Catherine Braithwaite running back into the burning manor is so satisfying. Even after disposing of her sons and guards, I ask, why didn’t Dutch kill her? She already lost everything.
Dont get me wrong, blood fueds is one of my favourite missions for similiar reasons you listed here, but I dunno, I'm a little taken aback by how the focus on how badass it all is. Yes, the Braithewaites aren't great people. They did kidnap Jack, but they absolutely didn't start it. Dutch dragging this woman into the dirt after destroying her house and killing her sons is really disturbing. It's clear they were holding Jack as bargaining chip. Hell, he was safer and better fed than his entire time on the run with the gang. I understand the high emotions at play, but I don't think you're supposed to finish this mission in awe of how cool it all is. The dark backdrop, the shaded silhouettes of the gang in the moonlight, the high, haunting crooked melody being sung... I was kind of sickened by how brutal it all is and this mission is supposed highlight that savage side of the gang, imo
Blood Feuds at the Braithwaite Manor got to be my favorite, mission and it got some funny and iconic moments. The way Dutch call them inbred trash makes me laugh ever time i hear it for some reason 😂 I also think that Hosea is my favorite non protagonist character in the game. The way hes in this mission is pure gold.
I play this game every weekend , I put aside an hour or two and I just play and try to find things I’ve never found myself. I never get tired of this game. I don’t know why this game keeps me interested. Maybe I’m the same as those that play GTA 5 day after day. It’s just the game I love more than any other game. 👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
Tbh between RDR2 and GTA 5, RDR2 actually makes us feel like there's life in the world we play in because of the random scenarions you find yourself in at random moments and I'd say the bounty system makes it a whole different league of its own
I also never get tired of it, I can spend a month on one chapter. Im on my 5th playthrough right now. I have a lot of other games but, they just pale in comparison. All I want to play is RDR2. I might need some read dead rehab..lol
this gave me a manic response for some reason I scrolled back up to the title, said to myself to re-enact what you thought "hmm why clemens point is my favourite chapter no no why dutch is my father" then I stood up, sat on my bed and started fake laughing while slapping my knee, after that i started actually laughing from what you said and then i just sat there and rethought my actions
The pull up to Braithwaite Manor might be the hardest scene I've played in any game. Like that is pretty much the full force of the Van Der Line family ready to kill cause these bastards took their kid. Such good shit!!
One of my favorite missions is the one where Arthur and I think John go to clear out shady bell of lemoyne raiders. Reason it’s my favorite is because of the gameplay, that gameplay being cqb in the house.
My favorite mission is the Saint Denis bank robbery. Not only is it a pivotal moment in the story, with the gang's plans failing once again and both Hosea and Lenny (two characters that Arthur cared about a lot) getting killed, and also what made the gang have to escape and end up in Guarma (which would probably be my 1st or 2nd favorite chapter if it was longer and the island was actually explorable), but the gameplay is just fantastic. I love the bank shootout, and even though I've replayed the mission countless times, I still feel on edge during the escape part, like I could be detected by the guards at any moment if I make one small mistake, even when I know their routes like the back of my hand. Overall, a very good mission
i most def feel like the most iconic mission was the bank robbery with hosea was murdered by the pinkertons in front of the bank which really in my opinion started the turmoil of the gang
Great video my friend. I love this game and it will always be my comfort game with my many play throughs. Love chapter 3. I stay in the area and venture out west only briefly for the side missions that take me there. Oh and ALWAYS use the shotgun in the manor ! Feel badass.
I've only recently completed RDR2 and after watching this I immediately want to go back and play again. I think for me I was so concerned with playing the game 'right' that I didn't really stop and take the time to take all the small details in. I didn't realise at the beginning the difference between events that were white and yellow so accidentally missed quite a few at the first camp. Now I know to spend more time enjoying each section and not to rush through.
A historic battlefield, a bank robbery, a family feud between two plantation homes, the missions we do for both sides, that southern charm (or lack thereof), the death of Sean, selling and stealing moonshine, and the assault on Braithwaite manor what more could this chapter have.
Nah the ride to the Braithwaite Manor and the walk up to that house was super sick but yes I agree this is most definetly the climax of the game cus right after that was the beginning of the down fall of the gang when they got involved with Bronte
k don’t know if u read the comments, first: ur voice is nice and i like it (im just a girl) second: chapter 3 shit was wild. it was such a good chapter, before dutch has completly gone of the rails. i think dutch sounds so inspiring and he makes sense, wanting to get his sons, his friends, his family to safety, and to the west. and i don’t know if anyone else kinda picked up on it, but chapter 6, is when dutch starts to not make sense, his speeches, the stuff he tells arthur no longer sounds inspiring. like in chapter 5 when he is doing the “chess game” in his head, he sounds like a lunatic. but in horseshoe overlook yk he is the leader that rockstar wanted us to see.
You bet your ass i read comments. First: thank you. Thats really sweet to hear. You made my day. Second: Chapter 3 and even Chapter 6 i always ran through simply because its so hard to not want to see what comes next. Even for someone that has beaten the game multiple times. Im actually replaying chapter 3 right now and its the little conversations in the camp thats really making it for me this time. I wish i took my time so much sooner. Hopefully i can pace myself and catch more. But on that note have you ever caught Ms Grimshaw yelling at dutch in chapter 6 only for him to get in her face and she backs down? That one has always been a crazy one for me. Really highlights Dutch turning on the most loyal and level headed members
@@CynicGTA okay legit so happy you responded. i bet ur pretty just for that. but NO ive never seen that scene with her and dutch. i think thats my problem too. i’ve replayed the game more times then i can remember, but i always go to fast. i want to really like engage, thats what im doing this play through, im now on chapter 6 so i may see it. ive watched a lot of your videos and i always want to comment. because i geek out on red dead. such a beautifully constructed game, that really makes people feel emotional. like i think in one of your videos you talk about how micah could have been misunderstood, i loved that. i love his character and how he manipulated dutch to get what he wanted trying to cater to the side of him that craves chaos instead of order.
I don’t care how people feel about Dutch I wanna play as him so bad in rdr3 this man quick draw headshots the dude in the middle then the guy in the top left balcony this man must’ve been the most wicked man when he first started the gang
imo chapter 5 is the best literally put me so on edge the first time i got to guarma because i was like "whats wrong with Arthur why are his eyes bloodshot and his face so red??" then when i got to the doctor meeting i realized what is was..
I'm almost done with the epilogue stuff for the first time and I can't think of another game I want to play. 150 hours and I just want to do it all again.
I like Clemens Point because we get a glimpse into what life was probably like before all of this Pinkerton Nonsense and Cornwall and whatever. It’s just the Gang and the Local Degenerates they’re robbing. Only that it went sour this time and they had to save someone and lost another. Which would’ve occasionally happened. Giving us a full view of the gang. Like you mentioned, rdr2 feels like it really opens up and let’s you explore more of the world when you reach Rhodes.
I always liked Hosea. He's calm with a dry sense of humor. Despite his illness, he can still be a badass without being violent. Maybe a sigma male type. Hated it when he got killed in Saint Denis, his death impacted the gang more than you think.
I actually think the Grays and the Braithewaite hold more importance to the plot than most people would think. In my opinion it was the beginning of the end. Dutch came strolling high and mighty thinking he was scamming and manipulating them from the beginning. Insulting them when their back is turned and loudly stating he thinks they're trash. Dutch underestimated them just like he did with the Pinkertons and everyone else he views as less intelligent than him. That is how Bronte was able to play him like a fiddle because bronte was the exact opposite of the grays and Braithewaite, Dutch tried to get on his good side. Hosea on the other hand was a lot more cautious and suspicious of them yet he still tried his best to play them for information on their gold. I just find it ironic that in the End it was a dying Arthur who got the treasure to help 2 kids in love
Will there be a Red Dead Redemption 3 in your opinion ? If so, when ? I just can't wait. It would be good for purely RDR youtubers like you as well to have something else. This game is 6 years old , despite still being more beautiful than PS5 games.
My favorite chapter has to be Beaver Hallow. The end of the story us always the best in my opinion. To see Arthur confron Dutch and Micah and the surprise return of John made it worth while and the final act of sacrifice always gets me. "Now go and be a G**D*** man!"
I love this mission. Probably one of my next favorite is when Arthur and Lenny take the rifles at Shaddy Bell. And then when Arthur and John take over Shady Bell.
Agreed. Beaver Hollow is Great in story but just, 😔. Horseshoe is Overrated, it's great but a tad bit boring at times, Saint Denis is a Nothing Burger, and Guarma is Guarma
Saint Denis was so underutilized and dumb imo, i wish it had more uses but since it didnt its the worst in my opinion, also saint denis is a classic but i can see why some people wouldn't like it
Hate walking with horses in Saint Denis moving slow and a bus runs into you now u have bounty and cops on you, if your walking on foot and u bump into a pedestrian your dead before u can run away
@@CrazyTrainEnjoyer while on horseback in Saint Denis if i was moving any slower id be moving backwards but even when its still difficult to not cause trouble, u touch the sprint button twice u and u knocked over a newspaper man and ran over 3 kids trying to pickpocket npcs
Horseshoe overlook for me, Arthur is in his prime, both physically and in terms of respect. As the story progresses his authority becomes questioned, by the rat, by Bill as soon in the dynamite mission, it was a subconscious jab at Arthur when he suggested he play dead. Arthur was in control of his destiny in chapter 2, he was the backbone of the gang. The thread that help everything together, it’s a wonder how they did anything without Arthur. I am very disappointed with how RDR 2 ended because fundamentally it is not believable, there’s no instance when a gang such as Dutch’s gang would accept a newcomer as a second in command.
You can. Make sure you have saved outfits on your horse before you start the mission where you get the badge (American Distillation mission). Immediately after the cutscene where you first get the badge, change the outfit from your horse, then after the next cutscene you get it again, mission is over. Change the outfit again so that the badge is removed , save your game, done. Once you know you have an outfit with no badge, use that outfit as a template to make new outfits as needed. It's been a while since I did it so I can't remember exactly, but it definitely works. Just remember to switch outfits after any cutscene if the badge is equipped/re-equipped. If you can't get it to work then let me know and I'll open up an old save and confirm the process. I just wish I could also avoid the whole "no weapons" in Rhodes.
Chapter 3 is the most iconic, I agree, but chapter 4 is the most decisive, and the bank robbery missioni is the most adrenalinic mission in the entire game: the tension is high and ask yourself how could we get to this and what will happen to the gang
Blood Fueds Ancient and Modern is one of my favorite missions. But Chapter 3 felt rather boring, I wasn't invested in the whole Gray vs. Braithwaite feud, Chapter 4 is where things felt like they were really picking up. I loved Chapter 2 though.

Idk once I get to valentine im just going to take my time exploring the world again and doing missions for the groups and side events till i have to move on
I did always find it funny how the gang wants to bend rules in their favor but when the rules are bent against them, "It's not how things are done right"
They are outlaws. What do you expect? Besides kidnapping? A small child is probably one of the lowest things you can do
@@chrishilton3626 yeah, but half the time the gang was turning a blind eye to the stuff that Micah was doing to Jack and the dog. Not that he abducted Jack he just was a complete pompous dick face, and then Dutch kind of did a 180.
It's really not that hard to understand that there are certain lines you do not cross... But whatever.
I love Clemens Point. My favorite spot. Waterfront property with beautiful views and fishing. Everyone in the gang is all there too and if you wish, you can leave Micah in jail till your ready to go get him.
The first shall be the last forever. Camaraderie defying odds, best music and literally uphill battle. No dead eye
then the crazy epic party for Sean afterwards. No Micah
It's been 100+ hours and i just started chapter 6, Most of the time i spent roaming in chapter 2. Damn i didn't know that was the gang at it's peak
Chapter 6 is such a downer for sure
Only scene that can compete is the end when Arthur says thank you to the horse, then tells John “get the hell outta here and be a god damn man”. I don’t think that scene is better unless you count the whole scene sequence to the end when he dies, but it was powerful and full of emotion.
That lamoyne raider was cappin like crazy 😂😂
n slur
Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern, is hands down the gang at their peak. The best gunslingers are present, cinematography is beautiful, even the conclusion of Catherine Braithwaite running back into the burning manor is so satisfying. Even after disposing of her sons and guards, I ask, why didn’t Dutch kill her? She already lost everything.
The rat wasn't there and he was arguably on par with John at that point
Dutch was so badass this scene him taking control and showing no mercy, and the way he kills off her last son was soo good aswell.
I think it was to show how formidable and violent the gang can be when they're all united and not in fighting.
Also kidnapping a kid is crazy
@@momo_f_awsome I'm not defending it. I'm just saying this isn't meant to be a feel good moment
@@austaneousc5802 yeah after re reading it I misinterpreted it mb
@@momo_f_awsome All good man, the mission is undeniably cool despite my mixed feelings
Valentine is the best town, but Clemens Point has the best camp. Used to love fishing on the lake.
Blood Feuds at the Braithwaite Manor got to be my favorite, mission and it got some funny and iconic moments. The way Dutch call them inbred trash makes me laugh ever time i hear it for some reason 😂 I also think that Hosea is my favorite non protagonist character in the game. The way hes in this mission is pure gold.
chapter 4 mightve been my favorite as it's the hint of arthur's tb showing up in some missions and it's the last time we see him in a "brute" mindset
Misread the title as “Why Dutch is my Father” for some reason
That's some next level dyslexia
@@NeverKetamine that would explain it
Freudian slip
this gave me a manic response for some reason
I scrolled back up to the title, said to myself to re-enact what you thought "hmm why clemens point is my favourite chapter no no why dutch is my father" then I stood up, sat on my bed and started fake laughing while slapping my knee, after that i started actually laughing from what you said and then i just sat there and rethought my actions
@@khorvair Sounds fair
The pull up to Braithwaite Manor might be the hardest scene I've played in any game. Like that is pretty much the full force of the Van Der Line family ready to kill cause these bastards took their kid. Such good shit!!
Agreed,
That ride up to the manor along that tree lined road with that amazing score popping off in the background just gives me chills.
One of my favorite missions is the one where Arthur and I think John go to clear out shady bell of lemoyne raiders. Reason it’s my favorite is because of the gameplay, that gameplay being cqb in the house.
chapter 3 was filled with like 80% missions of just shootouts, i didn’t like that but i did like the fucking gorgeous camp location
"Matthewwwws" is by far the most badass line in the whole game
Only thing that would’ve made the scene better is if he said ”Melvin”
This mission was my favorite, I wish we would have seen more missions where the whole gang works together before everything went to shit.
I loved Clemens Point as well, chapters 3 & 4 are easily my favorites out of the entire game.
Oddly enough the first time I saw the Kkk was around Big Valley in chapter 2 when I was hunting Cougers
This chapter was a disaster by the gang's metric and they still managed to totally dismantle two historic warring families in 1 evening lmao
I like Lemoyne because it’s a lot like my home state. Red clay and grass color with the design and weather. Makes me feel at home
i most def feel like the most iconic mission was the bank robbery with hosea was murdered by the pinkertons in front of the bank which really in my opinion started the turmoil of the gang
Great video my friend. I love this game and it will always be my comfort game with my many play throughs. Love chapter 3. I stay in the area and venture out west only briefly for the side missions that take me there. Oh and ALWAYS use the shotgun in the manor ! Feel badass.
The mission where you attack Bronte was my favorite
Blood Feuds Anchient and Modern is the reasom the Evan's repeater exists.
Favorite hideout: Clemens point
Favorite chapter 4 and 6
Favorite Mission the bank robbery in valentine and the yacht mission in 4
A historic battlefield, a bank robbery, a family feud between two plantation homes, the missions we do for both sides, that southern charm (or lack thereof), the death of Sean, selling and stealing moonshine, and the assault on Braithwaite manor what more could this chapter have.
Nah the ride to the Braithwaite Manor and the walk up to that house was super sick but yes I agree this is most definetly the climax of the game cus right after that was the beginning of the down fall of the gang when they got involved with Bronte
k don’t know if u read the comments,
first: ur voice is nice and i like it (im just a girl)
second: chapter 3 shit was wild. it was such a good chapter, before dutch has completly gone of the rails. i think dutch sounds so inspiring and he makes sense, wanting to get his sons, his friends, his family to safety, and to the west. and i don’t know if anyone else kinda picked up on it, but chapter 6, is when dutch starts to not make sense, his speeches, the stuff he tells arthur no longer sounds inspiring. like in chapter 5 when he is doing the “chess game” in his head, he sounds like a lunatic. but in horseshoe overlook yk he is the leader that rockstar wanted us to see.
All missions in chapters 2,3,4, are absolutely awsome. Chapter 5 is also good but the ending is very sad after Lenny and Hosea were killed
I don’t care how people feel about Dutch I wanna play as him so bad in rdr3 this man quick draw headshots the dude in the middle then the guy in the top left balcony this man must’ve been the most wicked man when he first started the gang
The last mission is a in that chapter is an absolute masterpiece
I never spend enough time in this chapter. I plan to linger there longer during my next play through.
This is also my favorite. The missions are just amazing and memorable!
I love clemens point just like you, i think it has great vibes, best missions and camp
imo chapter 5 is the best
literally put me so on edge the first time i got to guarma because i was like
"whats wrong with Arthur why are his eyes bloodshot and his face so red??" then when i got to the doctor meeting i realized what is was..
I'm almost done with the epilogue stuff for the first time and I can't think of another game I want to play. 150 hours and I just want to do it all again.
Always look forward to your RDR2 drops! I give you permission to dabble elsewhere, as long as you keep these coming on the reg!! 😉 🙏🏼
Me scrolling past this video then onto it because I just got into Rhodes with Dutch😂😂😂😂 what a world
i just saw the thumbnail, i was like 'bro same' and then continued to watch the entire video without having any real interest in it.
About sums up my time on youtube lol
@@CynicGTA lmao
my second playthrough arthur is stuck at chapter 3 clements point. and always will be
I always liked Hosea.
You just made my morning
I would agree. Raiding the braithwaites mansion is the best mission.
Will there be a Red Dead Redemption 3 in your opinion ? If so, when ? I just can't wait. It would be good for purely RDR youtubers like you as well to have something else. This game is 6 years old , despite still being more beautiful than PS5 games.
Blood feuds ancient and modern is peak gaming for me
hands down fav mission
Chapter III has an insane Django vibe
Agreeable, but counterpoint…
LENNNYYYYYYYY!!!
1 my last boy 2 Pouring Forth Oil 3 Blood Feuds is my top 3
2-4 are the best chapters without a doubt
The game definitely peaks here for me
My favorite chapter has to be Beaver Hallow.
16:44 why does uncle not have a beard
can someone plz tell me what the song in the background in the first part of this i’ve been looking all over and can’t find the name
Call me crazy but the only camp that felt like an outlaw camp was Beaver Hollow every other one felt like summer camp
love it when you upload! :D
@@codyjohns6931 wait you dont just ride on ur horse slowly? I thought everyone did that
@@CrazyTrainEnjoyer while on horseback in Saint Denis if i was moving any slower id be moving backwards but even when its still difficult to not cause trouble, u touch the sprint button twice u and u knocked over a newspaper man and ran over 3 kids trying to pickpocket npcs
@@codyjohns6931 maybe its easier in pc? Idk i never really faced that problem aside from npcs yelling sometimes
Micah should have bein there when they took on the beaithwaites he would have bein perfect but I guess leave one of your best gunman at the camp
idk if its a co incidence but this guy wore the exact clothes that i wore during the missions that too in multiple vids 😂
If only you could take the deputy badge off it would be perfect
Chapter 3 is the most iconic, I agree, but chapter 4 is the most decisive, and the bank robbery missioni is the most adrenalinic mission in the entire game: the tension is high and ask yourself how could we get to this and what will happen to the gang
revenge is a dish best eaten is fun
my top 3 is red dead redemption, American venom then blood feuds.
Yes, yes, yes! Exactly what I always said.
my favorite is Saint Denis, although Beaver Hollow comes close second
Still look for Gavin ... XD
I Have lumbago
Blood Fueds Ancient and Modern is one of my favorite missions. But Chapter 3 felt rather boring, I wasn't invested in the whole Gray vs. Braithwaite feud, Chapter 4 is where things felt like they were really picking up. I loved Chapter 2 though.
It's my favorite chapter and camp
I agree 👍🤠
My favorite
Dutch he cult leader
Mine is Horsehoe Overlook
Breaking into the manor and killing everyone trying to get jack back… that mission had me covered in goosebumps. That mission was so damn cinematic. I felt like I was watching a movie
Agreed,
I felt like I was in a movie. The score that was playing in the background gave me chills.
@@partlycloudy9443 fr bro this game has the best songs for its missions they all fit so well. This and the song that plays when Arthur dies are my favorite, cruel world from epilogue is up there too
