Very nice channel. I have a Z30 with a 16-50 3.5 lens and I would like to switch to this 1.7 because I see that I have noise in the house when taking pictures. Do you think it makes a difference?Thank you
Thank you very much. Yes, there is difference. It is a much faster lens. If you can, keep both lenses. The kit lens has stabilization and will be more versatile for everyday shooting outside. Also, when you’re indoors, look for good and soft light sources if possible.
Thanks for that. I got the Nikon 12-28mm power zoom lens. Is that considered a kit lens? If I have that one , and I want another one , would you still recommend the 24mm f1.7? Thanks !
I don’t think that one is a kit lens, but it is a pretty slow lens. I had that lens and only used it for the wide angle shots at 12mm. I’d definitely recommend getting one other faster lens. Focal length depends on what you like to shoot. Since you have the 12-28mm, I’d maybe recommend getting a 40mm.
Hi, I have z30 with a lens 18-140 mm 3.5-5.6. What do you think about this lens? In your opinion is still better the lens that you describe in the video? Thank you 😀
Hi, I’ve never had that lens, but from what I’ve seen, it’s a good lens. Funny thing, I just watched a review of that lens yesterday. It’s a good lens, but it’s much different than 24mm f1.7. The 24mm is small and fast. The 1.7 aperture lets in a lot more light, so it’s better in low light. On the other hand, the 18-140mm has a nice focal range. It’s more versatile for traveling. It also focuses pretty close with a magnification 0.33x or something like that, which makes it better for close up (macro) shots. So, it all depends what you need. If you’re happy with your lens, there’s nothing wrong with it.
Hey, thanks for watching. No, the audio isn't out of the camera. It's from Zoom H1N. A pretty inexpensive mic, but a pretty good one. I sync the video and audio in post.
I have this lens and I am trying to use it for video. I cannot get it to consistently auto focus like the kit lens. Is it not good for video. I would like to vlog with it.
I have z30 with 18-140mm and 24mm 1.7 both are outstanding ❤
I have a 24mm f1.7 with my Z30, fantastic! I also have a 40mm f2 , which I rarely use
Yup, the 24mm is more versatile.
which is better this one or sigma 30mm f1.4 dx lens? In terms of picture quality, low light performance and overall consistency!
Never had the sigma 30mm so I don’t know.
How beautiful you are explaining... Thumbs up 👍
What camera do you film on. Great quality. Cinematic
Zfc. You’d get the exact same quality from the Z30, since they have the same sensor.
My dream camera!!

Is the Audio directly out of Cam? Or you use a separate Recorder ? Greetings from Germany. I like your Videos….👍

Im owning this lense but its terrible ,no sharpness, verry slow focus,i doubt i got defect one.with z30.
Exchange it for another one.
What about vlogging
Vlogging is great.
I sood my 24mm for a sigma 30mm f1.4... 24mm is too wide for my taste
Both are great, so nothing wrong with that.
