- During the 2020 summer being forced by COVID-19 to go into lock-down, I decided to use all this time spent home to be creative. And because I saw my father struggling with his lawn I decided to convert his old lawn mower into an RC one so he can cut the grass without putting any effort. The result and the the step by step fabrication is here for you to watch. Enjoy!

I've had mine for about 3yrs, and I'm now building two at the same time. The two I'm building unlike my first one (which is a rotary mower) are reel mowers based, and one is based on 36v offroad hoverboard motors, and the other is based on 36v wheel chair motors. I'm stuck at writing the arduino code for the hoverboard motor one. However, I plan and hope to get them done sometime soon 😅

Mult succes! V-as sfatui sa-l ganditi astfel incat atunci cand intalneste denivelari mai mari, masa de taiat sa se poate misca independent pe verticala pt ca altfel o sa ramana suspendat. (vedeti cum e sustinuta la tractorasele de tuns iarba)

Congratulations Marius for a job well done. The levelling device is a stroke of genius. What do you estimate that this build cost you? Some companies manufacture similar products and costs vary widely but I consider all of them to be expensive. I am wondering whether to do it myself or buy already made and cost is an issue.
Hi, thank you for your appreciation. It's difficult to say how much it cost, as I haven't summed up everything. I would guess somewhere around 500 Euros without man hours :)

how long does your battery last before you have to recharge? nice job!
Jose, I have never tried it from fully charged to fully discharged. My garden is about 800 mp and I can finish it with less than 30 % of charge.

I've had a FLYSKYIA6B 2.4 GHz 6 CHANNELS RECEIVER. I've been using it for my multiple rc mowers without any issues for about 3-4 years now. Good luck.
Where did you find the remote and the module for the motors?😎💪

Could you please tell me where you get the front wheel
Those are from the original wheel chair together with the cross beam. I adapted the frame for it so it can rotate when encountering a bump.
how do you recharge the battery
you hook it to a battery charger?
Interesant proiectul. M-ar interesa 2 lucruri:
1. Ce modul de control ati folosit?
2.Cum ati folosit motoarele electrice de la scaunul la care ati facut trimitere. Am si eu 2 motoare ...acum le-am gasit- stiam ca le aveam undeva puse. Eu am pe fiecare 4 iesiri ...fire electrice, 2 de alimentare si alte 2 ptr.probabil comanda veche. Astea trebuiesc anulate?

Modulul de comanda este SmartDriveDuo-30.
Acesta comanda cele doua motoare prin firele de alimentare. Celelalte doua fire sunt franele electromagnetice. Acestea sunt blocate si pentru a se elibera trebuie alimentate cu un curent intre 5 si 24V .Eu le-am legat direct la baterie. O alta varianta ar fi modulul de comanda Sabertooth 2x32 care are si iesiri pt frane. Franele se pot de asemenea demonta de pe motoare.
