this makes so much sense! i'm 5'6 but i've noticed that i always tend to look shorter compared with other people around me, even if i'm one of the "taller" ones. well, now i know i have a longer torso and shorter legs. thank you!
This is really nice! I'm in the short torso long legs spectrum, I was always insecure that no matter what I do I would never get those tiny waist. People keep telling me I don't look short thanks to my legs but my waist is not flattering at all 😅 but I do realize that I don't have to be all perfect to be beautiful so I hope everyone who read this feel the same ❤️
Same thing with me people always assume I am taller when I tell them my height. I actually have a tiny waist and short torso with 34D breasts so it make my torso look even shorter. So I feel you on that.
Oh my goodness I'm so glad I've found your videos! I've known I've had a short torso for over 15 years, when I compared my body against my taller cousin. Our legs are the same length but then her boobs started where mine ended. But I've never known how to dress my body. I can't wait to now look for the right clothes
Jules, you are awesome. I watched this entire video (difficult due to my attention span), and immediately hit the thumbs up button and subscribed at the end. I so appreciate how informative and gently validating you are, while offering very helpful tips. Most of all, you explain the WHY and that helps my brain form strong connections. Wow! I am proportionate, 5'3", thought I was short torso but I think it's proportionate thanks to the hand trick and a longish neck. Very helpful and easy tips! New subscriber since I'm petite and I think your channel will be helpful for lengthening the vertical line with clothes! 🥰
Where has this video been my whole life?!!! Thank you for this. I have struggled with my short torso my whole life and it has affected where I have carried my weight at different stages in my life. Soon, I will be having a muscle repair and skin removal surgery from a large weightloss. While I am excited for this, I still find that I'm struggling with "liking" my short torso. I now find myself wondering what I will look like with the excess gone, when my ribs are right on top of my hip bones--- lol. I'm so glad I came across your video. I saw on your Instagram that you are an Oregon girl too -- that made me excited. Subscribed and I hope to pick up on some great tips!
Woo! I’m so glad this all helped! It’s all a journey and it’s okay to feel things at different times through the whole thing. I’m proud of you for your determination to work through it all to learn to love your short torso body. I struggle at times too! But in the end, I love it ❤️❤️
I have recently learned that I have a rather long RISE (waist to crotch, due to the shape of hip bones), and only a slightly "high" waist, but because the top of my hip bone is not far from my ribs I share "short torso" features. In other words, my torso may be average in length for my height, but the bottom part of it, waist to crotch, takes up most of it. I have learned that this is related to "Violin Hips", and often comes with "Hip Dips", and I'm widest at the top of my thigh/femur bone looking like "Saddlebags" even when I'm thin. It is all structural/skeletal, genetic. 11"+ highrise jeans sit near my natural waist. I look like I have really long legs from waist to floor, but my inseam is only slightly long, the rest is crotch to waist. 😆🎻☠️
This helped me so much! I always thought I had a long torso but now knowing I have a proportional torso with a short neck makes me feel much better about myself😁😄
I was so ridiculous that I thought I'd make my torso longer. Now watching this video, considering the skeletal situation I understand that I can't have a longer torso when there's not enough room. I'm happy that I know this at least it saved me from fooling myself. This video inspired me. Now that I know that this is the way my body naturally is and there's nothing I can do about it, I am relieved that I'm not doing anything wrong which is making my torso appear shorter. I should learn to embrace my body type. Everybody has a different body. One doesn't need to make their body look like someone else's, everyone has a unique body.
I’m so happy to hear it inspired you! You’re totally right. We’re not all the same body type. If we want to look a certain way, it just means we may have to go about it differently than someone with another body type ❤️
Soooooo I thought I had a short torso and long legs going into this and found out I still have my long freaking legs plus a shorter side but mostly medium torso and a slightly long neck.... for some reason I am now even happier than I already was with my reflection as you made me see a few more good things about me. Thanks!
Yes, my experience says a short torso can affect pregnancy. I have birthed multiple children (not at the same time haha), and the way I carried them and the pain in birthing them was the same each time, largely because there was just SO little room to work with. I am 5' 0" and have a very short torso. My ribs sit basically touching the top of my hip bones like yours do. As a result, my babies were very front heavy, even early on in the pregnancies. I always carried very front heavy, which led to some interesting challenges, complications, etc. I delivered early, never reaching 40 weeks (the longest was 38), and I had a very hard time pushing because I just couldn't get the right leverage around the belly. My deliveries were quick enough, but I always needed help getting the babies to come out. My first was 8 pounds, so.. being small myself didn't stop me from having big babies 😂 It was just very difficult.
OH!! So that's why when I sit for too long, or if I wear high-waisted jeans, my ribs start to hurt! They only dig in right above my hips, but that really is RIGHT beneath my ribs. This clarifies EVERYTHING! Thank you!!
@@tatemitchell1479 yeah, if I don't keep my back very straight in high-waisted jeans I have this horrible feeling like there is something poking me in my ribs lol. I used to think there was actually something physically wrong with me for having this feeling.
What a refreshing and useful take on proportion/style! I've a proportional leg/torso (not including neck+head)ratio but they are both short. Finally figured out what the heck was going on a few years ago when my tall friend & my short me sat together & I loomed over her. Fellow LongNeck here! Hard to research styling tips because petite or short-____ specific stuff always seems off for me. Your video made me think about it differently! Im gonna try looking at overall silhouette and maybe things to balance and enhance the neck. Subbed!
I’m the same as you. Proportionate with a long neck and bigger head. Have you found any tips on how to balance the whole body and neck/head? Thank you!
I'm like you! I have a long neck, short torso and I also have longish legs for my 5'6 height (about a leg 32inch). It has been really helpful realising this. Even when I'm at my thinnest my stomach never looks tiny, and I absolutely can't stand high waisted trousers. I love low rise everything. Thanks for helping us short torso ladies, I feel we often get forgotten about.
Wow, I really have a short torso, haha. My second hand my belly button hit my middle finger. It's a miracle that I was able to have two beautiful babies. My neck is a little longer than one hand. Thank you for this video! Very eye opening.
The shortness in my torso lies basically only in the shoulders to bust area. The rest is fairly proportionate and clothes can fit pretty fine often, except for the shoulder part, which is always always too big.
I’ve just discovered that I have a proportional torso! I always assumed it was short, but now I think it just looks that way because my bust is very large and visually takes up all the room?! I have also just discovered that I’m in the two hands neck club!
You're the first person to mention the rib cage and hip bone being so close together. I was sitting here thinking to myself about it, wondering if anyone else noticed or played attention to this, and boom, you started talking about it, lol. I have no room in between my hip bones, and my rib cage is so crazy. A lot of stuff doesn't look good on me, and it looks like I'm pulling my pants up on purpose, but i can't help it. I'm also chunky, so that's harder to style and find pants that will fit my waist.
I've always thought I had a long torso and for years, there wasn't a day where I wished I had a shorter torso and longer legs. And it turns out I was actually proportionate! This is by far the first and most informative video I've come across that actually deals with different body lengths and not shapes. Thank you so much!
@LB Hernandez I did the same thing too. But I guess going for long torso short legs tips would help considering there is nothing on the search results.
Proportionate will be hard to find because it’s considered “standard”. Most models are proportionate because it’s the “ideal” canvas for lots of styles. If you have a well proportioned body, most clothes should fit you well without a lot of tailoring. Of course, that’s a very blanket statement and every body has subtle differences. Don’t worry too much about following proportionate people but be conscious of those you follow’s body differences. If you follow someone and know they have a longer torso than yours, it helps you know what may or may not work for you. I hope that helps! ❤️❤️
Lol, figuring out I had a long neck is useful for my violin playing. My instructor, who is short in height, always said how people should come to play without a tall shoulder rest (to help bridge the gap between your chest and violin), but it just makes my violin droop. Long neck, long torso here! I should have known; every dress I buy is too short-waisted.
Being a pear shaped woman(great behind!) I should be able to wear pencil skirts and fitted trousers, except that I am long from hip to waist meaning I have a belly, that I loathe and is never mentioned by stylists. This is the first time I have ever seen or heard of torso shape and length being discussed and it is so good to hear, thank you, I have subscribed.
I did the golden ratio test. I was seven heads tall, meaning my vertical line was on the short side even tho I’m 5’6. I look short. My legs are shorter too. I was also short waisted and long rise. I was blown away and it all made sense. Also big bust. Ive always struggled with clothing! But I now know that clothing sizes don’t accommodate most peoples sizes and differences!
I’m shocked how different are bodies are! I had no idea someone’s ribs and hips could be that close. Very cool :) apparently i have a long torso lol Thanks for the info ❤
This was such great video! I have a super short torso and endometriosis and now I know no matter how much I diet or exercise, I won't ever have a flatboard stomach
Glad it was helpful! I'm no doctor, so can't say anything is for sure, but it could be more challenging if a flat stomach is a goal. Either way, you got this ❤️

My torso is on the short side of average, when I'm thin, I have a defined waistline, but as soon as I put on some pounds, I become round🤣. Thanks to your explanation, now I now why my friend is an hourglass no matter if she gains weight or not, she has a long torso
Jules I was literally spitting my coffee when you did that leveled ribcage to hipbone moment. It was hilarious. Then I had to stand up and do it too. I’m also leveled.
omg thx for this video. i am more on the lean body type and always have these super long and small arms and legs for my body but i could never get the curves i saw in pictures of models and ppl of my age, and i only recently learnt that i have indeed a short torso. i was stressed out bcs no matter how much i lose weight, run or workout that curve never appeared on me. and i assumed i have a long torso bcs when i sit i am taller than most people and things didn’t add up for me! but then thro this video i learnt that i have a super long neck lol. i could also fit in two handfuls like u lol. i also think that these influencers indeed influenced me more than i realised, bcs i felt like such an outsider bcs i do not have the lady-esque thin waist. it’s sp much nice and relieving to find people like me!
I’m hella annoyed everyone keeps saying I have short legs and a long torso😭 my friend said that to me and I was so confused and didn’t know how to explain to her that she was so wrong..
This is suuuch a good video. Love the way you speak about bodies and about yourself haha. I really had a good laugh, mostly because I totally feel you. "That's so much room to work with" 😂👍 Lots of love from germany
I had to learn the hard way, I tried a waist trainer and it was way to long for me. Thankfully there are short torso waistrainer out there I just feel dumb I didn't consider it. But thank your video was very informative I learned new things about my body
LOL I thought I was the only one who considered the distance between their rib cage and hips...🤣 I got a solid thumb size gap between them. Glad I’m not the only one 🤣🤣🤣🤣 New subscriber fo shooo 💁♀️
i have a proportioned torso, normal sized neck, and normal rib to hip ratio, i am overweight tho. but this gives me so much motivation to lose the weight and show off my pretty body :)
I legit only follow people who have similar bodies and it’s the best advice I could give anyone. I have broad shoulders and a short torso - I’m buying more flattering clothes than I ever did before when I was only looking at women who had petite shoulders or long torsos
I've been looking for any content that talks about torso size. I have a short torso, broad shoulders, AND a very wide rib cage. I have always had a difficult time dressing my body type. I love the look of wide leg pants but then i look like a brick shape bc my bottom half then matches the width of my top half...then if I go narrow or straight jeans I feel like an exaggerated inverted triangle. The struggle is REAL and if you like a challenge help me!
The key with the short torso is just watching what you eat a bit more than the average person and training lower body well. That way, you end up with a pretty damn good body with the long legs as a plus ☺️
I appreciate your thoughts on this. I have a short torso, average neck and super long legs. I’ve often called myself a “daddy long legs” lol. But I’m also curvier than you describe and still have more of a T-shape.
lol My proportions are just...different....I have...short legs but tall hips (sounds weird I know....but it's a thing). I have a short distance between my ribs and top of my hips....but then a long torso (measured 2.5 hand distance)....and then a short neck (literally just one hand measurement)...I like my body, it's just different. But I loved what you said about identifying and then following those who are more similar in body shape because it just reaffirms that your body is normal
Oooh I think I just realized my confusion about thinking I had a short torso. I have a high waist but normal torso. That is one reason regular size clothes do not look right on me. I am also petite under 5’2.
Ooh and my rib cage is pretty wide so it pretty much has the same measurement as my waist as I look in the mirror (I think cause of my scoliosis) I have weird measurements.
Heyy I am really thankful to you for this detailed information and helping me out to find out my body type. I perfectly fit into a short torso type and yea I subscribed you 💫
I've got a short torso and a really high waist, and unfortunately I like high waisted pants. I'm also five feet tall. So basically, if I find pants that are actually long enough to reach to or above my waist, the legs are almost always too long EVEN THOUGH I HAVE LONG LEGS! Which is frustrating. I also have a long neck apparently, which may explain why I keep giving characters in Crusader Kings 3 long necks...maybe I'm subconciously basing their necks on my own, just like I subconciously base characters' proportions on my own when drawing them sometimes, then get mad when I realize it because they aren't all supposed to be short...
Madison beer has a really short torso and long legs (she's literally my goals), and in Kpop there's Yeri from red velvet there's also Tiffany Young and Sunny (Lee Soon-kyu) from SNSD Edit: Peyton Roi List also has a short torso
My torso is sooo long, my neck is long and from the waist up I’m really thin. My legs are short and curvy. I am 5’ 4.5” and I feel half long and lean, half short and stumpy. It’s always made me so uncomfortable in my skin. That being said …high rises are my best friend!
Though I can agree it's no ones place to say "oh you have X so therefore you can't wear or do Y" I do believe it helps to be sincere, what's flattering on one just won't work for another and their confidence will falter trying to work with a mold that doesn't suit their shape. We need to learn how to work with our features not how to change them. It may not always be the ideal we had in our mind but no matter how much a short girl like me loves a certain cut or style if it doesn't suit me I won't love looking back at it nearly as much as I did in the moment wearing it. Likewise a tall girl, a round girl, a plump girl, a thin girl, or whatever other kind of beauty there is may love one thing, but it doesn't love her back. I've certainly loved outfits that have worn me more than I did them. And though not fun when you do find what really works it's enough to never get rid of the kick in your step.
I legit thought I have long waist tf till I saw your vid ! I have short waist and I like it sm !! Thank you sm for this video it was really informative ♡♡♡
I’m 5’3 and have always wondered why regular inseams fit me. Well, I have long legs and a short torso. I also, have a longer neck about 1 1/2 hands width this makes me look taller than I am. It’s crazy how proportions work.
I’m petite & have a proportioned body, but my natural waist is above my bellybutton. My neck is average. I have always been able to wear off-the-rack petite clothing well, with no alterations. My mother, who was an expert seamstress & used to make most of my clothes, said I was very easy to sew for because she didn’t have to alter the pattern. Before you think I grew up Amish or something, I did not. I grew up in the ‘60s & 70s when getting stylish patterns & quality fabrics was very easy. I was always wearing cloying that was in style.
@@JulesBeth Yes It does! But the main thing is to know your measurements & proportions so that when you shop, you know whether a garment fits properly or not. Also, my online shopping is limited to retailers that provide actual garment measurements or at least a size chart.
I grew up in the same time period and my mother was a seamstress as well and made most of my clothes because I am tall (5’8”) with long legs and a short torso. My ribs all but sit on my hip bones! I’m also busty with narrow shoulders so making my own or doing alterations was a necessity. In another video you talked about the necessity of a good uplifting bra and again that’s something I learned early because I am so busty. If I don’t lift my breasts then I look ridiculously wide on top. Especially since I’m plus-size. This is a really good important video.
I have 2 hands to touch my neck also, and my BB is under the second hand. I think I have about 2-3 inches between my hip bone and rib cage, but I am also tall... and having a short torso is still hair.
Turns out I followed my mom. Neck is two hands minus a pinky long. I'm not tall, but I have a long torso. Now I know I'm short waisted too. I wondered what was up since I wear very longline corsets. The smallest part of my waist (natural waist) is higher, around the crook of my arm. The corset lowers my waist about 1” where the bottom of my rib cage is (my skeletal waist) however. So my waists don't line up.
Hi there - this is a very informative video. I have always thought I was short-waisted mainly because the distance between my chest and belly button seems pretty short. There is one thing I don't understand. What do you mean by "proportionate?" Do you mean that if the distance from the top of your head to the end of your torso is about the same as the distance from the end of your torso to your feet then you are proportionate? If that's correct, where does your torso end and your legs start - natural waist? Belly button? Hip bone? Sorry if you explained this in the video!!
When I was young and looked great, I was never happy with how I looked. Now that I’m older and don’t look too fab, i’m perfectly comfortable with myself, although I am presently dieting. And that’s the point, that whether I’m my perfect body weight, or even now for the first time in my life, being overweight, I live from the inside out rather than from the outside in, and therefore, I am happy within myself. I think it’s really something that you grow into. But that said, Preferences of beauty change like fashion. Look at Raquel Welch in a bikini during her youth in the film industry. She was the ultimate standard of physical beauty at that time. Look at her rib cage to her hips and how her waist formed. She had broad ribs and that flare was very desirable. Today you have models with very long narrow bodies, without much skeletal architecture. This is a change in beauty standards but not necessarily an accurate reflection of what is beautiful. Beauty comes in many varieties. And each each of these variations can have equal and great beauty unto itself.
I just watched another video about proportions, but it didn't really sit right because while my top and bottom half are pretty proportionate, according to the formula given (you measure 8 segments of your body from top to bottom, and then you take the top 2 and bottom 2, add them together and see if they are longer, shorter, or proportionate to the middle 4 measurements - I know a bit confusing), I am short-waisted - but I'm not really. I can easily fit two hands with room to spare between the bottom of my bust and my belly button. I do, however, have a long neck and while my legs aren't long overall, from the knee down they ARE longer. Your explanations about things helped me make sense of all those measurements and why things weren't quite adding up according to "the formula." Thanks!
I might’ve had a normal proportion torso except I have scoliosis which took off 2-3”. Yes, I can’t wear shirts tucked in high waisted pants without looking deformed. I try so hard to stay thin because there’s no room to gain in my belly. I’m 5’2” and 102 lbs.
There is still so much I have to say about this! I added some mored details I forgot to mention (isn't that always the case?) in the description box. Thank you so much for watching! Our legs are the same length but then her boobs started where mine ended. But I've never known how to dress my body. I can't wait to now look for the right clothes
Dang! Well you found the right place and we’re happy to have you here ❤️❤️
I love you! I also have a short torso and large bust. Finding clothing that looks flattering is tough. I appreciate your videos.
I know I won't just finish this video and forget everything completely in a week. Thanks for being you and sharing these tips with us! -signed, a newly-informed short torso 5'8" gal
Wow! I am proportionate, 5'3", thought I was short torso but I think it's proportionate thanks to the hand trick and a longish neck. Very helpful and easy tips! New subscriber since I'm petite and I think your channel will be helpful for lengthening the vertical line with clothes! 🥰
Yay! Thanks for subscribing. That's a good point. Lots of lengthening happening here!
But in the end, I love it ❤️❤️
thank you Jules for sharing your knowledge and creating such an accepting atmosphere!
Omg thank you!! This is me. My crotch is ridiculously long 💀 jeans waists never sit properly
This helped me so much! I always thought I had a long torso but now knowing I have a proportional torso with a short neck makes me feel much better about myself😁😄
Happy to help!
Thanks!
Yay! I’m so glad you found it helpful. Makes my day! ❤️
Oof!! Thanks for sharing your experience, mama 💕 That makes sense. Glad to hear it still went well!
Omg so me!!! Currently preggo with my first. With your pregnancies, did you notice more flabbiness or pooch in your stomach post birth?
What a refreshing and useful take on proportion/style! I've a proportional leg/torso (not including neck+head)ratio but they are both short. Finally figured out what the heck was going on a few years ago when my tall friend & my short me sat together & I loomed over her. Fellow LongNeck here! Hard to research styling tips because petite or short-____ specific stuff always seems off for me. Your video made me think about it differently! Im gonna try looking at overall silhouette and maybe things to balance and enhance the neck. Subbed!
Welcome friend! I'm so glad you found it helpful! ❤️
I got you! 💗
Wow, I really have a short torso, haha. My second hand my belly button hit my middle finger. It's a miracle that I was able to have two beautiful babies. My neck is a little longer than one hand. Thank you for this video! Very eye opening.
Two babies is amazing! So happy for you ❤️❤️❤️ I hope the video was helpful 😊
The shortness in my torso lies basically only in the shoulders to bust area. The rest is fairly proportionate and clothes can fit pretty fine often, except for the shoulder part, which is always always too big.
There are so many ways bodies can be different from mannequins. It’s amazing! Thanks for sharing yours hun! ❤️❤️
Short torso crew❤️❤️❤️ thank you for this vid love!
Yay!! Glad you liked it! 😊💖
I so so agree! I have a long torso and I find it gives me a lot more options no matter my "shape"
I’ve just discovered that I have a proportional torso! I always assumed it was short, but now I think it just looks that way because my bust is very large and visually takes up all the room?! I have also just discovered that I’m in the two hands neck club!
That insight can be so helpful! Welcome to the club! 🙃🥳
I’ve always thought I’ve had a short torso turns out I have a proportional torso thank you so much :)
And I’ve always thought this because I have longer legs
Glad it helped!! ❤️
Yay! I’m glad I could help. Stay beautiful! 💖
Same! I even found out I have a normal neck, I thought it was short!!!
Me too 😂 I look like I have long torso because im skinny and my waist is so slim like really slim.
Everyone has unique ways of learning about their body. Thanks for sharing yours! I'm sure others have experienced this too
"But it's also really liberating." Yes it is! Thank you
🙌🙌🙌
Being a pear shaped woman(great behind!) I should be able to wear pencil skirts and fitted trousers, except that I am long from hip to waist meaning I have a belly, that I loathe and is never mentioned by stylists. This is the first time I have ever seen or heard of torso shape and length being discussed and it is so good to hear, thank you, I have subscribed.
So glad it’s helpful and validating!
Hi Jules - this is by far the best video on this topic that I have watched. Thank you for your detailed examples 😊
Yay!! 🙌 I’m so glad. Thanks for letting me know! 💕
Every body is different, there is a mixture of so much lovely shapes and proportions and everyone is beautiful in there own way
Well said!
I’m shocked how different are bodies are! I had no idea someone’s ribs and hips could be that close. Very cool :) apparently i have a long torso lol Thanks for the info ❤
Yes! It’s super cool and can create unique challenges in a few-sizes-fits-all world 😊
I’m like you with the long neck. I have a long torso and short legs 🦵 This is helpful!! Thanks!
Either way, you got this ❤️
me too like damn
We always just want someone to tell us..”tell me the answer!!!” BUT NO. YOU CAN’T because we are all different. I’m so grateful to you. I’ve finally worked out MY issue. You set me off in the path. Well done girl. Thank you so much. 😘
Thanks! Now I understand why some clothes didn't look good on me. This opened my eyes. Now I will know how to choose my clothes. ❤
this needs more views
Aw thanks! I appreciate you watching and your comment ❤️
This videos was so helpful thank you so much, I love my body with all its flaws and imperfections, I work out and eat healthy and that’s all that matters to me as a 47 woman 🥰
I have a proportional torso but I'm 5'2" so I'm still short and find your content relevant 😊
The rib to hip proportion explains why my pregnancy jetted out and my sister-in-law barely showed. So interesting. Thanks
Yes!!!
Came across your channel on Pinterest searching “short torso long leg outfits” lol and well here I am!!!! Wish I found you YEARS ago!!!!
Yay!! ❤️
Honestly you're GOD sent 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Aw omg I’m blushing! But I’m so glad it helped! 🙃🙃🙃
😂 once you notice it, a lot of other challenges make sense
omg thx for this video. i am more on the lean body type and always have these super long and small arms and legs for my body but i could never get the curves i saw in pictures of models and ppl of my age, and i only recently learnt that i have indeed a short torso. i was stressed out bcs no matter how much i lose weight, run or workout that curve never appeared on me. and i assumed i have a long torso bcs when i sit i am taller than most people and things didn’t add up for me! but then thro this video i learnt that i have a super long neck lol. i could also fit in two handfuls like u lol. i also think that these influencers indeed influenced me more than i realised, bcs i felt like such an outsider bcs i do not have the lady-esque thin waist. it’s sp much nice and relieving to find people like me!
Yay! I'm so glad you feel less alone. A lot of us have short torso and didn't know for years. Most still don't know
I'm definitely in the short torso and tiny waist group
I’m hella annoyed everyone keeps saying I have short legs and a long torso😭 my friend said that to me and I was so confused and didn’t know how to explain to her that she was so wrong..
Aw yes. It can be hard to recognize on other people unless it’s really obvious. The key indicators aren’t always easily seen unless you live it ❤️
I wish I knew this years ago!!!!! Currently binge watching all your videos! Thank you so much!
Glad you like them!
This is suuuch a good video. Love the way you speak about bodies and about yourself haha. I really had a good laugh, mostly because I totally feel you. "That's so much room to work with" 😂👍
Lots of love from germany
Thanks Zemiya! It's great to meet someone with a similar body shape from the other side of the world 💜
Thank you for the positivity
🥰🥰🥰
I had to laugh at the Skelton thing...I did the same thing! I always imagined it would feel nice to have that extra room to bend and digest and all🤣🤣
Ha! It’s nice to hear I wasn’t alone! I kept holding out for a final growth spurt. Like maybe my lower spine hasn’t grown all the way in yet! 🤞😂
I had to learn the hard way, I tried a waist trainer and it was way to long for me. Thankfully there are short torso waistrainer out there I just feel dumb I didn't consider it. But thank your video was very informative I learned new things about my body
Short torsos are relatively unknown! Don’t feel bad about not realizing it. A lot of us here can relate. Including me!
I'm really enjoying your positive spirit, good humor, and great advise as well! Subscribed!
Aw thank you so much!
LOL I thought I was the only one who considered the distance between their rib cage and hips...🤣 I got a solid thumb size gap between them. Glad I’m not the only one 🤣🤣🤣🤣 New subscriber fo shooo 💁♀️
Not at all! Glad you’re here boo! ❤️
This video give me confident about my type of torso
This makes me so happy Alexandra! You’re beautiful in your body!
i have a proportioned torso, normal sized neck, and normal rib to hip ratio, i am overweight tho. but this gives me so much motivation to lose the weight and show off my pretty body :)
I legit only follow people who have similar bodies and it’s the best advice I could give anyone. I have broad shoulders and a short torso - I’m buying more flattering clothes than I ever did before when I was only looking at women who had petite shoulders or long torsos
It can be hard to find, but it helps so much to see how pieces work on someone else without always having to try it on yourself!
Such a genuine information.
Thankyou soo much for an amazing explanation❤
I do have proportionate torso long neck but shorter legs😂
Love any short torso video! Really found this one informative - thank you so much!
I love hearing that! Thanks so much! ♥️♥️
Wow! This helped me a lot in identifying my body! Thank you! 🥰
Yay!! 🎉
Wow we are the same I have short torso and long legs.
And i also have high waist line
🥰🥰🥰
lol My proportions are just...different....I have...short legs but tall hips (sounds weird I know....but it's a thing).
Love how you embrace your unique shape! Understanding your body is key
It’s so much more intricate than first glance. Glad it was helpful! 😊
Love this video!! So we’ll thought through!! Very practical and helpful. 😊
Heyy I am really thankful to you for this detailed information and helping me out to find out my body type. I perfectly fit into a short torso type and yea I subscribed you 💫
Yay! It really makes my day to know that it’s helpful. I’m so glad you’re here! ❤️
Pants can be such a struggle! At least the length is easier to hem! 💗
I’ve always thought I had a short torso but after this video I realized I have a proportionate body I just have a short neck
I’m glad it helped!! 😊
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS SOOO HELPFUL OMG
Aw thank you friend!
I had no idea I had a longish neck but my trapezii are high too so I guess it cancels it out
Mine too
Love this! especially with the following tip. :)
Thanks Eleanora!!
Thank you! Great channel. So now I think I have a proportionate or slightly long torso (no wonder my legs look slightly short). And a high waist.
Any famous influencers or celebrities with short torso you may recommend to follow?
Madison beer short torso long leg, or if you know kpop there is tiffany girls generation
Madison beer has a really short torso and long legs (she's literally my goals), and in Kpop there's Yeri from red velvet there's also Tiffany Young and Sunny (Lee Soon-kyu) from SNSD
Edit: Peyton Roi List also has a short torso
Kylie Jenner.
If I have a proportional torso and long legs, what are the tips/guidelines for dressing? Should I wear midrise jeans? Crop tops? Avoid cropped tops?
I have a long torso and I love it I am kinda muscular. Everyone has their signature
i thought i have short torso thanks to this video, i just realized i have long torso wide ribcage and high hips 🥲
Interesting! ❤️
My torso is sooo long, my neck is long and from the waist up I’m really thin. My legs are short and curvy. I am 5’ 4.5” and I feel half long and lean, half short and stumpy. It’s always made me so uncomfortable in my skin. That being said …high rises are my best friend!
While I can't relate exactly, I can relate to similar feelings. Having some go-to pieces is so helpful!
Though I can agree it's no ones place to say "oh you have X so therefore you can't wear or do Y"
I do believe it helps to be sincere, what's flattering on one just won't work for another and their confidence will falter trying to work with a mold that doesn't suit their shape.
So happy to help!! 💖💖
that was super informative!!! thank you!!
You’re welcome!!
I’m 5’3 and have always wondered why regular inseams fit me. Well, I have long legs and a short torso. I also, have a longer neck about 1 1/2 hands width this makes me look taller than I am. It’s crazy how proportions work.
It really is!
i’m 2-3 inches taller than you but need short inseams!
@Emily Anne you must have a long torso. Just crazy how proportions work.
@@veronicacarmody115 Yup, very long. Have a small waist but always self conscious about my short legs. It’s always something!
@@emilyanne9513 so true! It's always something 🙄
That’s awesome! Makes it easy and fun to design your own clothes
Ah yes the unique challenge of having a short torso and then making it work with the rest of your body’s proportions. Fun fun! 😉
So well said, Sevi. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️
