    Beast of a style, if you know how to apply it and drill and test it. It's body training method fits it perfectly to make the style work.

    the 3rd guy is chiu chi ling, one of the few remaining hung gar masters still alive. the cool thing is he learned this style from his mother, so i heard.

    my standard response to "use a gun" comments is "I always have my hands, where is your gun right now?"
    One thing people oft times overlook is that the Chinese developed crossbows during the Warring States Period (600 BCE), and yet kung fu still thrived. (A crossbow at 15 yards will punch throw a bulletproof vest with ease)

    @Clfguardian26 Well said....even Bruce Lee also said that there isn't any greatest martial arts system in the world, only good or bad martial artist. Learning everyday is what every martial artist should do because there is no "ultimate" level of martial arts and martial arts itself is a never-ending learning process.

    I know that the Shaw brothers were notorious for using existing martial arts styles in their movies and just renaming them. As an example in a movie called Five masters of Death (originally Five Shaolin Masters) the main protagonists were using styles of the Hung Gar system, renamed for the movie (or perhaps just mistranslated). The character using tiger and stork methods is using the famous Tiger-Crane set from Hung Gar, the one using the staff is using the 8 trigrams staff, the one using the whip is using the Double dragon headed steel whip and the on using what they were calling the Cross technique was using the Five Animals and five elements Set. The only one I haven't been able to identify is the style used by the character called Fang Ta Hung in the movie. He was using what they called the "Rolling Method" but I have not been able to figure out what form that was actually based on...if anyone knows please message me.

    • @trantuanat6125
      @trantuanat6125 6 лет назад

      Fang ta hung use the rolling ground technique(ti tang kuen) this not in the hung gar systems is in shaolin kung fu systems

    @MrOfcoursenot In order: 36 Chambers of Shaolin, Boxer Rebellion, Bruce's Deadly Fingers, Magnificent Butcher, Drunken Master, 5 Shaolin Masters, unknown, Martial Club, 5SM, MB, Kung Fu Hustle, then the same movie's repeat. Hope this helps

    *FENG WEI*
    this looks very similar to Feng's fighting style. Even the guy in the beginning is dressed similarly (with the metal rings on the arms)

    • @baronsoup8603
      @baronsoup8603 9 лет назад +1

      Indeed it is. In Tekken, it's called "God Fist" style and from what I've gathered, it is heavily inspired by Hung Gar because of his Sei Ping Ma and the uses of the tiger claw

    • @dnmgch
      @dnmgch 7 лет назад

      linux750 obviously, also inspired by default kaioh from the grappler baki, the Jet Li once upon a time in China

    • @dnmgch
      @dnmgch 7 лет назад

      linux750 thus feel special skills set that feng use is from jet Li's the taichi master

    • @DG-oo8zf

      What happens is that Feng Wei' s style is Kenpo. And, the Gung Jee Foo Fu form is taught in Kenpo, as are it's applications. Hence, some similarities.

    I agree, qi does exist. Most people want to discredit chinese martial arts, because they're not combat proven or dont work against a grappler. In the short yes thats true. But how many 60-70 year old boxers and wrestlers do you see nowadays? Oh thats right none. Because they rely purely on physical ability something that decays with age. True martial arts is about utilizing this qi so that you dont have to rely on that. Its a long and hard road to overcome the physical limitations of the body.

    • @Supermomo2007
      @Supermomo2007 7 лет назад

      dont work against grapplers?? kung fu styles like hung gar, tai chi, bagua and xyingiquan work well against grapplers, because they have grappling in their styles. it seems you dont know chinese martial arts very well.

    • @onlinewong06143413
      @onlinewong06143413 6 лет назад

      indeed hung gar has grappling elements, most southern style has it since they fight in trapping range, so grappling is very likely to happen from time to time

    Totally agree, beyong the art, you have individuals with different levels on each art, what producesses the posiblility of beat another individual on a different level on a different art, style, etc.
    Is the weak and the weackness who often is impelled to fall on those generalizations to feel a bit consoulor.
    P.S. Please, can somebody thell me the name of the music or where I can find it, the author, or something ?
