She played Dr. E. Shaw so well. They broke her down so hard and it just made her stronger. Prometheus is legendary.
Her English is impressive in this interview considering she only spoke it for a few years at this point in time.
Her performance in the original Swedish version Girl with a dragon tattoo is a masterpiece .

Prometheus deserves a direct sequel
I knew Noomi was Swedish and when I was watching Prometheus I was so impressed with her accent, but kinda having been in her position (where I had to learn English in a hurry) I could easily pick up on her nice quirky accent (she has that dose of britishness but pronounces some consonants the american way like in the t in "meeting"). I was hoping I could find an interview where she talks about this, and lo and behold, I was right! That makes me admire her very much! Gotta love Noomi! :)
I know, its not even the usual 'she's so beautiful' its something other than that, she just has this face that you can't look away from.
Her voice is absolutely amazing. Its like listening to a beautiful song.

The movie was pretty good! I liked it! I didn't take it too seriously as a lot of critics and people did (expecting it to be a direct prequel to Alien). I purely went to see it because Noomi was in it; loved her in "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" (Swedish). Her performance in "Prometheus" was really good next to Michael's.
I'd like to see the whole interview. This is so interesting.

I understand. No I dont look down upon other countries. What I meant was that many Swedes are embarrassed to speak English in public. Its always a native making a rude comment on their unsufficient knowledge of the English language. They could speak with perfect grammar but with a bit of accent and its a no no. Thats most likely why Noomi felt the pressure to study more English and to be able to express herself more freely.
Personally I think her English was good enough back then.

In Sweden we have very high standards when it comes to speaking English well enough for it to be accepted by other Swedes.
Here is an old interview with her back in 2009 when she was not as confident with speaking English.
