When I was 15, I came across the 45 with Blue weekend and Pastures of plenty, it was a DJ copy, and cracked. I would like up the crack so it would play. I've been a fan ever since . I'm now 76, and I still have that 45, plus other albums of his
Thank you DelTangBrav for this clip, I have searched for this record for many years but not sucseeded. I have wonderful memories from this recording since 1965
At last I've found the the one song of Karl Denver's that has eluded me since 1962. He was one of the greats of the British music scene in the 1960's...thanks for puting this here for everyone's enjoyment
@MyPatriciaD It could be one of a few, two that spring to mind are "My World of Blue" and "Am I That Easy to Forget" (which was also sung by Jim Reeves) both those songs are on this channel. Click on 21 Videos (currently) that is next to the Subscribe tab above main window to check them out.
It's a Martin - Dreadnought I think. It was the first Martin Guitar I ever played in 1963. It was later sold to The Bachelors they got another from Tom Springfield, both were stolen some years later. It looks much bigger than it is as Karl wasn't too big. I got my first Martin a DC28E (also Dreadnought) just three weeks ago - I always promised myself one. It's the same as a D28 (as played by Hank Snow) but with cutaway and built in electronics.
@lateforbreakfast Glad to have helped, check this channel or subscribe, for some other songs of Karl's that don't seem to be easily found. I recently got some recordings of songs I didn't know he'd sung or recorded. I'm not too sure where this song came from I found it on the hard disc of my PC and can't recall where it came from. It appears you're not the first who had been looking for it.
I have a 45rpm of this song. The flip side is pastures of plenty. WOW. unfortunately it has a crack. It's a London records promo copy # 45-lon9576v. Found in thrift store in this condition maybe 40 yrs ago. It's playable, you just have to line up the crack. One of my top five records.
