I don’t think Bjorn knows Alfred is Althelstans son. He was always referred to as Ecberts grandson. Maybe he wouldn’t have disliked him so much if he knew that.
I love how....scarily enthusiastic Ubbe comes off, trying to get Alfred to sign. He's really had it up to *here* with people jerking him around and not granting them lands. With how much Alfred has promised over and over again, and Hirst's tendency not to give his characters nice things, I think he might end up unable to give Ubbe the lands he wants in the upcoming episodes. Maybe it'll finally make Ubbe angry, which is something we've really yet to see in the show.

Wesley Malutama Same, I feel that Bjorn, Ubbe and Hvitserk have been written poorly to accommodate for Ivar. I mean in the final battle last season why didn’t they make a plan for the Rollos forces?

Either they are extremely stupid or as we said the writer are making a conscious effort to make sure they look dumb.
Well in this episode björn and ubbe probably knew they might not have the right but tried to preasure alfred because he is inexperienced and young to give them the land. Just my thoughts atleast
@@wesleymalutama3651 they didn't know how large the reinforcement would be when rollo sent them to aid Ivar. Björn's plan was clear attack them on two fronts but it failed because forest troops were killed too quickly. Björn was winkinf on the open Battlefield until the reinforcement was sent it
Everyone here must be very proud of their military careers and positions as generals. I’m sure you would’ve easily won any and all battles fought in this show with your superior tactics and strategic planning for the fog of war.
So Alfred married his cousin? His mother's Niece? Ah okay, smart since Judith knew her. Plus her father saved Alfred and was extremely loyal. Normal back then for a King, they need a wife for that extra power.
To be fair, once his line gets to like, Richard the Lionheart a couple hundred years later, their family was related to the royals of France, Normandy, Spain, Aquitaine, Scotland, Wales and Hispania, and they all continued marrying each other for generations. It’s honestly impressive that so many historical legends appeared from the bloodline despite the incest.

They have no right to the land. None but the sword. His arragonace is ill done.
I liked when Ubbe wore... colors. No one wears any color and it breaks up the monotony of costuming. he was like the only one to do so as well.

I think their personality is very similar, in both shows, Alfred is suppose to be 18 here and about 24 in LK,

In reality old saxons and vikings talked a similar language, they could understand each other pretty well. But it's still a big plot hole in the show
