This guy nails it, with his headphones on after the fact. BUT, you must remember that John, Paul, and George, produced and wrote the parts, and then SANG ALL THE PARTS LIVE WITH NO MONITORS, while playing guitars, back in the day!! And they sang it perfectly, live again and again! The Beatles. Way too much talent for just one group. Genius. Never before, and never again. Period.
Teresa67 Factoid ...GDamn right! My sentiments exactly. These cats, these four lads who came from NOWHERE...Liverpool???? They had a fire in their hearts, and an abiding love for each other to see it to its ultimate. Where we going, Johnny? “To The Toppermost of the poppermost!” And that, they did.
The thing about this song, the way the Beatles sang it, was, for me, the sheer passion/emotion they put into it. The exuberance just astounds me 50+ years later, still. The way they sing "YOU!" "She loves YOU!" I could feel the words. It might be considered a simple song over the years but there is nothing simple in how the fellas were telling their friend that "SHE LOVES YOU!". I just cannot ever get tired of it.
BestFrends Yes, as I said it might be considered to be simple as some of their early work is when compared to their later work but as I said there is nothing simple about how they told him that SHE LOVES YOU! It was well planned and perfectly sung. Magic song.
THIS DUDE ! hears, understands explains & executes like no-one I've ever met. I cannot express the frustration I've suffered scraping "dumb wax" from the lazy ears of American musicians.from now on we go straight to this guy for ALL harmonies. he gets it in depth even at times I don't. Oh what wouldn't do to have this guy is my band do ORIGINALS.
Correction: “You think you’ve lost your love WELL I saw her yesterday “ I’m so glad for talents like you and yours to do this for me, for us...Super Job. Super!
I heard that too. He sang "when" and The Beatles sang "well". He's Italian and might have thought he heard "when". B-T-W, he does a damn good job with his videos.
This is the music in my idea of heaven. Maybe we'll all be with John, George, and Paul and Ringo singing Beatles tunes like this one. Great job, as usual. Bravo!
I find your ability to hear and dissect the individual parts incredible. From a Beatles fan listening to my sister play her Beatle's albums through the wall between our bedrooms, I genuinely appreciate someone who has the ability to hear these different parts and enunciate them for the rest of us.
The beauty in Paul's accompaniment, during the verse especially, is that it's delivered slightly flat and without too much of an emphasis on hitting the standard harmony. The best example is the last verse. That is magic
Your dedication to The Beatles is inspiring... Awesome.. I just need to find someone to sing Johns part and I'll be set (I have more of Paul's voice) .. Thank you so much!!!!
I owe this tutor so much I feel, the sheer joy he has opened up for me by taking me inside the songs melodies independently is thrilling to learn and without this help I would not have known about all this hidden genius! Thankyou !!!
Cara que coisa mais linda essa sua vocalização de "She loves you", fiquei encantado.Meus parabéns por partilhares esse teu conhecimento sobre Beatles.Seu fan Braslileiro,Romario.
Outstanding vocal performance. I sang harmonies (including some Beatle songs) professionally for years live and in the studio, and you really nailed this harmony. The "line" and the resonance is perfect. Well Done!!
'. . . .the one that 'shocked' the entire world in 1963'. . . . . that is the perfect terminology for what the Beatles did back then. . . I was in high school and I would definitely describe it as 'Shocking' and magical as well. Love your dedication to the Beatles.
"She Loves You" She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah You think you lost your love When I saw her yesterday It's you she's thinking of And she told me what to say She says she loves you And you know that can't be bad Yes, she loves you And you know you should be glad She said you hurt her so She almost lost her mind And now she says she knows You're not the hurting kind She says she loves you And you know that can't be bad Yes, she loves you And you know you should be glad, ooh She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah And with a love like that You know you should be glad You know it's up to you I think it's only fair Pride can hurt you too Apologize to her Because she loves you And you know that can't be bad Yes, she loves you And you know you should be glad, ooh She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah With a love like that You know you should be glad With a love like that You know you should be glad With a love like that You know you should be glad Yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
This is so excellent!! - I play guitar and sing with a looper pedal and I sing my own vocal harmonies into the looper and play them while I sing the main part live. The vocal harmonies in this song had me completely baffled but thanks to you I was able to record them and it sounds perfect. Thank you ! -Will definitely donate. Best of luck !! ❤
Actually, "She Loves You" didn't really shock the entire world in 1963. In the USA it was released and didn't fare very well. It was only after "I Want to Hold You Hand" became number one did it finally explode in that country in 1964.
It certainly shocked Britain. It became the biggest selling single of the 1960s over here. Check out the Liverpool FC fans singing it in a packed stadium. Very cool
Yes. But also the first four singles and first album made no impact in America until 1964. Capitol.was not interested in the Beatles until I Want To Hold Your Hand. So V J released the first three syngles and a variation of the Please Please Me album and Swan released She Loves You all in 1963 but none caught on until 1964. Their second album in England was With The Beatles issued on the day JFK was assassinated and a variation was released here as Meet The Beatles. Hand was issued Nov 29, 1963 and brought Beatles music to America.
God! I really enjoy watching all your videos and singing along with you three 3 different voices. and I must say what a perfect ear you have to capture all those details.
What drew me to this video was the verse, and in particular the first few bars: "You think you've lost your love, well I saw her yesterday-ee-yay." I remember decades ago having a debate with my mother, who insisted that Paul's part was the melody, whereas I was sure that John was singing the melody and that Paul's higher part was actually the harmony. As to which part is the harmony and which part the melody, it isn't explicitly stated in this video. So, who was right - me, or my mom? Truly excellent video (as usual), by the way. Absolutely fantastic.
It's interesting how John and Paul begin the phrase "I saw her yester-" and then go their separate ways on "-day", i.e. Paul goes up with the melody while John goes down, to produce a harmony. Then at "She loves you yeah, yeah, yeah" John and Paul are in unison, which thins the sound a little, before enriching the harmony again, only for John, Paul and George to devastate the listener's eardrums and audio senses with the final three-part "yeah".
This song and Eleanor Rigby are my favorite songs. THANKS!!! :D By the way, I LOVE your vocal tips video. I'd love to see more someday. Best tips I've had in ages!
Dear Galeazzo, I like your harmony lessons very much: the way you explain, fast and slow explanation when heeded, selection of early The Beatles songs. I made a few covers and I do appreciate to know you opinion. All positive emotions from my covers is your success, all mistakes in harmony-are my faults . Thank you. Best regards, DedStar
I always thought that john did the low "whoooo!" as you said. But if you see the live versions, specially when john's microphone is louder, john gets the higher "whooo!" Did you notice that? It makes me remember "please please me", "help", "I wanna hold your hand" when john gets the higher falseto. So I believe in this case is Georges who does the low "whooo!" Maybe is Pauls, but it's actually a high note, that usualy Paul used to do. Check live videos. Greatings!
She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah x3 You think you've lost your love Well, I saw her yesterday It's you she's thinkin' of And she told me what to say She says she loves you And you know that can't be bad Yes, she loves you And you know you should be glad She said you hurt her so She almost lost her mind But now she says she knows You're not the hurtin' kind She says she loves you And you know that can't be bad Yes, she loves you And you know you should be glad, ooh She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah With a love like that You know you should be glad You know it's up to you I think it's only fair Pride can hurt you, too Apologize to her Because she loves you And you know that can't be bad Yes, she loves you And you know you should be glad, ooh She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah With a love like that You know you should be glad With a love like that You know you should be glad With a love like that You know you should be glad Yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
thank you so much for all your advice !!!!! you are such a big help to me !!!! now thanks to you and your fancy youtube beatles vocal harmony videos i can now sing professional sounding beatles vocal harmonies !!!!! lol :)
The wikipedia article about She Loves You quotes George Martin as recalling the final vocal chord consisting of B, D, and E. On the recording it is D, E, and G, just as it is in this tutorial. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/She_Loves_You
Amazing work. Congratulations! Thank you very much for explaining each one's voice in the song. It is difficult to distinguish the voices just listening to the song.
Galeazzo, At 2:51 and 2:58 John sings "... your LOVE" and " ...thinking OF" in descending order, where intuitively one would think it should rise a step as Paul's harmony line does. Is there some musical reason John wrote it this way? Their harmonies are so clever. I especially have been impressed with George's vocal parts. They rise and fall all over the place, like the George ending harmony here. Just amazing musicianship. I would never have noticed if not for your amazing videos. Thanks! (I used to sing these, after a fashion, as a 13 year-old singing and playing John's part in our cover band, the Betas, in California in 1966. Great memories, for sure...)
My goodness! You´re very good, the only thing i have to say though is i would like you sang the whole music, but i know we´re gonna do the same on other parts, but thanks very much, i have a cover band of the beatles here on Brazil and it´s gonna help us very much!!
thanks for the great series. Maybe you can mention the 'other' harmonies besides their voices: their guitars. Their musicianship as a tight stage-honed band meant that, often, the voices were in harmony with the guitars and bass and vice versa. At least, that's how it sounds to me as a non-musician listener.
This is the best de-construction of all the Beatles songs on y/t. Question--do you hear John saying "she loved you" in parts of the song, maybe I need a hearing check. Cheers Ed

Well, yeah. But why take away from this guy's achievment? It's pretty amazing how he breaks this down.
This is why I'm still obsessed with this song 55 years after I first heard it. Great breakdown of the song
This is just wrong
I think this points to Paul's ability to harmonize as a huge part of the Beatle's sound.

There's never a simple song. That's what makes the Beatles special and astonishing

This vocal harmony and that chord they end with in particular. Has always perplexed and amazed me. Thanks

Galeatto adds a new dimension to my appreciation of the Beatles , excellent!
You sound great. This is exactly what I was looking for in regards to learning about Beatles vocal harmony.
Wow..... very impressive, amazing
great job! it is priceless for all Beatles enthusiasts. Where were you 40 years ago?

Great breakdown of the harmonies! This is a song that brings back many fun memories. Thank you Galeazzo!

I really appreciate your vocal series on Beatles songs. Thanks for sharing your voice and your insight.
I'm glad someone knows what they're doing! Thank you!
You nailed it, man! I especially appreciated the final "Yeah" harmonies you hit so perfectly. Almost made goosebumps. You are some kind of good.
Great video Galeazzo, bravissimo, grazie!

Thanks and glad you agreed!
Great harmonies. Great Video. Thanks for posting...

this sends a shiver down the spine its that good
Thank you so much, Galeazzo! Amazing job!
Am I right to hear George actually repeating John's part for the verse?
Yes. It’s an echo of the lead vocal
This song and Eleanor Rigby are my favorite songs. THANKS!!! :D By the way, I LOVE your vocal tips video. I'd love to see more someday. Best tips I've had in ages!

Been dreaming about somebody doing vocal Beatle tutorials. Can't thank u enuff
I second this. "I'll Get You" seems to have an odd very low vocal harmony in places; I'd love to see this broken down. All for a B-side, yes. :)
Galeazzo, sei il migliore che ci sia sul tubo, dopo aver visto Bohemian Rapsody c'è solo da applaudire ^^
i am so happy i found this channel. incredible stuff!
Glad to hear it!
man, now i can sing in my beatles tribute band!!!! you're such amazing!!!!
Thanks maestro !!!!
I love LOVE your attention to detail. Youve made a fan very happy

I've been watching you for a while, you're amazing and inspiring, grüße Eddie
this was actually really well done...didn't think I'd stay to watch it all, but I did! Nice work!
Thank you very kind of you!
Once again a beautiful presentation and execution of the work.
You are very talented. Keep up great work
I surely shared this GEM !!!!
Mille grazie!!!! Sei veramente straordinario!
This one I saw on The Ed Sullivan Show Feb.1964...thanks again mate!
Yes!
Amazing work. Congratulations! Thank you very much for explaining each one's voice in the song. It is difficult to distinguish the voices just listening to the song.
Thank you so much.. you are gem.. this video and all the other videos are simply awesome
So nice of you

A really good singer you are.
Fantastico :DD! Mi ispira molto sentire questa canzone in maniera cosi pulita, veramente fantastico!
Amazing ear you have for the vocal harmonies
Nice man!!! Good work!!! Incredible explanation... I hope one day we have teatchers like you here in brazil!!!
Because of your videos I am finally able to sing some harmonies :) Thanks for sharing!
Have you done harmonizing "And I Love Her"?
Thank you guys!
Nice 6th as the final chord.
Hey, love your wonderful videos
Thanks a lot
Great video as usual, recommendations!
Hold me tight
Don't ever change (from the Live BBC, George and Paul)
Dude You're Awesome... Keep it UP...
My goodness! You´re very good, the only thing i have to say though is i would like you sang the whole music, but i know we´re gonna do the same on other parts, but thanks very much, i have a cover band of the beatles here on Brazil and it´s gonna help us very much!!
So the last harmony is V(D) VI(E) and Paul goes up to VIII (G)?
I kept reading that it was BDE with no root
and that didn’t sound right to me.
thanks for the great series. Maybe you can mention the 'other' harmonies besides their voices: their guitars. Their musicianship as a tight stage-honed band meant that, often, the voices were in harmony with the guitars and bass and vice versa. At least, that's how it sounds to me as a non-musician listener.
Keep going! We have a Beatles tribute band, and only have couting with ears! You make it so much easier! Hugs from Brazil
This is the best de-construction of all the Beatles songs on y/t. Question--do you hear John saying "she loved you" in parts of the song, maybe I need a hearing check. Cheers Ed
Thanks so much! You're amazing
