What you say at about 1:40 is the best description ever of the magic that the voices of the Beatles produced when blended together. When I was a youngster listening to them I often thought it was one voice but now realize it was the mix of voices that made the hair stand up on my neck. From the angelic harmonies of Because to Help the Beatles have enriched my life and you my friend have enabled me to enjoy and understand that as never before. I am an elderly and poor man who hopes you find the support you need to continue this education regarding the greatest and most innovative rock group to ever exist. God bless and peace to you.
1:58 "when 2 vocals will be tight and synchronized together, they will move the air around you. and it's an amazing experience..." that is a very powerful description of the effect of a great vocal hamony performance of any band. :)
I earned a music education degree in 1975 (including a few years of vocal study), have been a record producer & engineer since 1977 and sang in a church choir for a decade on the 90s. In all that time, this is one of the most intense, concise, useful vocal lessons I have ever had. Very well done, and a lot of fun. I was smiling inside and out the whole time, and played it 5 or 6 times in a row. I also love the version with you and your bandmate in the coffee bar. Can't wait to hear more of your stuff.
Finsnake : could I ask your opinion at the risk of being thought a complete idiot . ( not for first time ,! ) Was it complete random chance that their voices harmonised so perfectly ? What were the odds that 2 brilliant songwriters with complementary voices should happen to meet at a church fête on a summer's afternoon in 1957 ? And go on to change the world . Maybe it was part of a divine plan ?!
@@2msvalkyrie529 I think its probably that they met so young and spent so much time singing together that they learned how to sound like one another. They do, to me, often sound like brothers singing.
@@NolalanD I think it was George Martin who's advices made their recordings sound that clean and well balanced. He was graduated and experienced musician and sound engineer that time and they were young, still open to learn and accept advices.
Here is another great Beatles song where the average person (like me) hears but does not completely understand what we are hearing. And you take it and dissect it so that now after 50 years (approx) I now can visualize it and hear it the way I always craved but never could. I do not know how to continually thank you without sounding boring to you. But thanks!
The Beatles Vocal Harmony Then my only other wish would be to have the entire song done! Not just bits and pieces but to have the two voices as a whole and then each separated. Now that would be heaven!
Great post Tango ... Galle is simply amazing , I cannot stop watching his videos ... Have you seen his band Vergas do this song here on you tube ... It is excellent.
Greg Denis Thanks Greg, yes I have seen about 5 times. And his bandmate looks a bit like John! Galle is just the master of dissecting Beatles songs and I am so grateful for it.

This wonderful man of Italian origin is the greatest Beatles vocalist/ analyst on the entire internet and if he ever stopped it would be as tragic as the Beatles break up (almost). You will not find a better teacher to teach the Beatles magic, in a very beautiful way, with such elegance and conviction. Please please support him generously , he is a gift to us all from god above. Please pray for all the Italians too. They deserve our prayers and thoughts now more than ever. They are the most wonderful people on our earth.
You Sir, are absolutely amazing. Thanks to you, you have rekindled my love for them, but on a much higher level than in my youth. When I listen to their music now, it's as if I've "discovered" a new dimension in their vocals.
i just noticed that you have Pauls`s eyes. I wish you are happy with what you do, because you really help a lot of people appreciate more about music and learn more about it and so forth. Good luck to you
First time I have ever heard anyone reproduce the harmonies the Beatles sang. I have listened to these harmonies for decades and they are indeed magic. I often wondered how John and Paul were able to do what they did.. How did they figure out the harmonies..? Did they have vocalist teach them how to do what they did? Did they come up with these harmonies on their own between the two.? Fascinating.
When you study voice and singing, and go on to sing with a great choir or smaller group, one of big things you learn is that you cannot sing a consonant. Hit them on the upbeat as you end a phrase or before going on to the next word. Sing the vowels, and the consonants should be clean and crisp. I was pleased to see this pointed out here. The Beatles had some complicated harmonies, but they really pulled them off well. Paul & John had a real singing relationship.
One of the BEST of your tutorials. The simplicity of two voices make it very easy to understand the MAGIC John & Paul share. Chewing the vowels , is now a days the mantra for singing ( Billy Joel claims it is the secret to a hit song) But Paul goes beyond by adding texture to that vowel extension . Ah Gale , it is such a delight having the mysteries uncovered because they stop being mysteries and become MASTERY. Thank you again. Funny this song's working title was "If I fell on top of you" - That cheeky Lennon, LOVE than man.
The 25 people who dislike this clearly don't understand good, correction, great music and pretty much perfect singing. I keep coming back to this video every now and again. Watching these videos makes me appreciate the Beatles more and more (If that's even possible)

I am a member of Smule. I’d much rather harmonize then sing the harmony. There’s just something about it. I was about to sing “If I Fell” and a couple notes didn’t sound right… so, I just thought I’d look up the song and see what John does. And I found you! I love the way you lay it out. It’s much easier to learn that way. Thank you so much!
You do such a kind job for us!! ... your a great teacher on Beatle vocals. Everybody needs to support him with a donation it's only fair considering the time he takes!
Silverbeat Thanks for the kind words. Apart for the donations that surely help in supporting the huge job involved in making these videos, the greatest joy that only Beatles fans can understand is sharing the joy to learn, understand, and know how great this music is together with you all :)
My girlfriend and I sing If I Fell together in the car often (the song is loaded into my car's sound system). But we sing it with a twist! I typically sing John's part because it is the most challenging. Meanwhile, my girlfriend can sing extremely high without going into a falsetto, so she sings Paul's part an octave HIGHER than Paul. When she hits the highest notes, she sounds like Alvin from Alvin and the Chipmunks! Try concentrating on John's part while your partner is singing Paul's part an octave higher! It's tough -- but fun.
Dude! Thank you so much for helping me understand how these vocals are arranged. I've been listening to this video, The Vergas, and the original almost non-stop for the last two days. It's like discovering John and Paul for a second time.
I have wondered about the beautiful harmonies in this all my life...and you have untangled them and done a fantastic impression. It does make me tingle all over...god in harmony!
Mate I hope to find someone to harmonise with, learning off your great guidance. You also have such a fantastic voice and vocal range of your own! Thank you.
I want to add something. This man is an Italian, and he understands how to lay on the correct length of time for phrases for English words! Of course it should apply to any language, but I just want to say I appreciate his Italian approach to English expression for singing. Thank you, sir. I used to get so mad with the few clients who didn't understand that you have to give singing the phrasing t needs for a song. Lennon and McCartney were totally natural about that.
I usually sing harms by ear - however, on some songs, such as this one - that just doesn't cut it ! And since I understand that, I know I'm halfway there… But! I have to say… I love your method of teaching. It takes you from A-to-Z in a very orderly, reasonable and understandable fashion. I think that someone who has never even heard of this song ( poor soul 😬)...could learn it very quickly following your method. Bravo! I'll be 58 in a few weeks. The Beatles have some of the most beautiful harmonies I've ever heard. I was having unusually hard time at the "… hurt my pride like her, 'cause I couldn't stand the pain…" I really can't tell you why! I've done the harmony on this song hundreds of times. It was driving me nuts… So, I thought I would see if I could find someone who was teaching the harmony to this particular song and boom 💥 ! I found you! GrEaT FiNd!!! 💯 To me… as someone that can usually harmonize, and as I said, knows when only the original harmony will do… so, when I found your channel, it was if I paid five dollars for a beautiful print up some swans in the lake… But, when I took it apart to clean it… I found the original Declaration of Independence. I'm not kidding. I sing on Smule all the time. And although not one of the greatest singers you have ever heard, at least I can carry a tune. And it's so much fun! So, I'm sure you can understand why something is simple as that was driving me absolutely bonkers. Talk about hair standing up… Lol… I was almost pulling mine out! 😉 🙃 🎶 Thank you ~ even though it's been years. EDIT: Sorry! You said "air"… not, "hair".
Fantastic! I've been trying to figure out how to do the harmony on this one out for many years but I haven't been able to do it. Now I have something I can learn from. You have a great voice, too. Thanks for this video.
incredible this guy is pitch perfect and analysing vocals by a band from decades ago that never used any vocal effects ... bands of today listen and weep
u have no idea how much i love and i love singing this song so much! it's like i am playing with my voice and being able to sing it felt like i am singing with them
I just found this video an hour ago and have been listening to it repeatedly since then. You are an amazing singer and explain the two vocals so well. Thank you. Are you still doing more videos like this one?
I've only watched two of your vids so far. You are doing a great service and I can't wait to check out more of your vids very soon. I don't want to sound like a jerk, but I played and sang professionally for 31 yearsand did recording for 7 years. You have NAILLED this so well! Great job! I used to teach studio clients how to play and sing better when they did their projects. If it isn't obvious, I hold The Beatles in super high regard. So many players don't get what they are really about, especially when The Beatles recorded in their earlier years. Thank you for your contribution!!
Thank you so much for putting this out there for people to learn and appreciate. Thanks to your video, I was able to successfully record the vocals for this beautiful song. Much appreciated!
Muchas gracias maestro!! i've always wanted to learn this song properly, now thanks to you i can improve my singing, it's a tough job but i love it. Cheers from Chile
Wow, you have done a great down breaking down these beatle songs and providing lessons. I've played Beatle songs for years but am starting to work on harmonizing with friends. I just made a donation and I'm looking forward to getting your material.

Love it, you totally get the vocals. My mum saw the Beatles live twice in Plymouth uk. I asked her a few times what did she remember, just the noise of her friends screaming, that’s it.
Really appreciate this tutorial .... "IF I Fell" is definitely one of the Beatle's best harmonies , very beautiful , and I think one of the best my ears have ever had the pleasure of hearing ...... I am just an amateur , but I take a wee bit of pride in being able to sing some Beatles fairly well , but I have never been able to get that one down , not even close ...... That's a tough one .... Great job , sounds beautiful as it should
The Beatles Vocal Harmony I'm glad i found your page , it's great , and you do a great job .... I can tell you are European , Italian ??? Spanish ??? My mother was born in Bolzano Italy , and my uncle was an opera singer in Vienna , Adolf Dallapozza ..... I made a video memorial to my mother on my page with two of her recordings as background (she passed away) .... check it out if you get a chance , my mom was a great singer , I think you like the music ...... video can get a bit sad towards the end as it is a memorial to her in life and a few pics of her after she died ..... "Josephine Dallapozza Memorial" ..... My mom sang for the Dallas Opera long ago ...... wish I had stuck with music , but I am just an amateur ..... anyway , thank you for some really good vocals and coaching , you do a great job on all of them ...... wish you well , and hope you have success
The Beatles Vocal Harmony Thanks , yes mom had a beautiful voice , the best I've ever heard (and of course I am somewhat biased) ..... she liked to sing "Penny Lane" with me sometimes when we were just goofing around on piano , but her "style" was mainly operatic or hymnal , she was a bit "out of her element" with the Rock Genre ..... Thank you for taking time to listen , and I will share your page on my Facebook Page too ...... You are working hard and I hope you get many subscriptions , you are quite phenomenal in your own right ...... You are loaded with Talent and Skills , and a very good voice ...... One of my best musical subscription choices on youtube ...... Really interesting to see how you separate and combine the elements of songs so well ....... The first songs I ever learned was at apprx 7 years old , singing along to my sister's 45rpm records - "I Saw Her Standing There" , "Twist and Shout" , "She Loves You" , and "Love Me Do" .... been hooked on the Beatles music ever since ...... and PS - I never believed "Paul was dead" ..... lol
When done live you can't double Paul's voice so John also sings high "I must be sure . . ." then back down to the low part. Great videos. You are very good.
Good sir, I'm also a musician/singer... I really appreciate your articulation of how to sing a Beatles vocal - especially for this song.. in fact, I would say that this is a good "beginner" song for anyone learning how to sing the Beatles... great work! you've also got the true tenor voice to really make a song like this ring...

After following your videos for two years, I realized thay you're our honorary fifth Beatle. You make learning the harmonies more approachable, thanks to your heartwarming introductions to the video and afterwards the harmony part itself :) As far as I've observed you seem to be the nicest and one of the gifted music intructors on RUclips. I know that I've been writing the same thing since last year but I can't help writing that. You have amazingly inspired me, Mr Frudua. I can differ the harmonies in the songs and I am trying to imitate the harmonies thanks to you. P.S. a Helter Skelter cover and full version of Maybe I'm Amazed would be good from you. everytime I watch these videos I have goosebumps :)
Tremendous lesson! Thanks for the breakdown and explanations. You are a great teacher and wonderful singer! And a Beatles fan too....so you have very good taste. :)
Wow ! I just discovered your channel and subscribed after listening to this great tutorial....you are an amazing teacher and a great singer !! Thanks so much !! Love your channel xoxoxo
Excellent video choice. "If I Fell" has always attracted me by its unique harmony - it's probably my most best favorite Beatles song ever (I know there are too many descriptive words here, but Que Sera Sera...) - lol.
Well I'm here 8 years later and i like it. But as I'm unfortunately late to the harmony party in many ways, I'd like to see the notes so as to follow a piano with John's part. I shall watch more of your videos now. This was my first. And i fell. Lol I fell for singing harmonies. Hope i can follow
I've heard somebody describing dogs' sense of smell this way, we humans, we smell the whole spaghetti, dogs smell every ingredient of the sauce. You hear every variation of their singing, me, I only hear the overall product. I still enjoy their singing, but you open a new world to me.
Hey Galeazzo! Thank you so very much for this Tutorial! This song is what I'm practicing for my Monthly Vocal Coach Exam and your lesson and breakdown between the 2 voices totally opened up a new approach on many details I couldn't understand! Really useful and good!!

But!
I was having unusually hard time at the
"… hurt my pride like her, 'cause I couldn't stand the pain…"
I really can't tell you why! I've done the harmony on this song hundreds of times. It was driving me nuts… So, I thought I would see if I could find someone who was teaching the harmony to this particular song and boom 💥 !
I found you!
GrEaT FiNd!!! 💯
To me… as someone that can usually harmonize, and as I said, knows when only the original harmony will do… so, when I found your channel, it was if I paid five dollars for a beautiful print up some swans in the lake… But, when I took it apart to clean it… I found the original Declaration of Independence.
Thank you ~ even though it's been years.
EDIT: Sorry! You said "air"… not, "hair".
One of my favorite harmonies of my favorite group. Enjoyed hearing his version. Usualy don't care for covers but this was spot on beautiful.
Fantastic! I've been trying to figure out how to do the harmony on this one out for many years but I haven't been able to do it. Now I have something I can learn from. You have a great voice, too. Thanks for this video.
I enjoy your harmony instructions. I’ve always wanted to know how to do it. Thank You.
Oh wow!! You are right! The vowels made a lot of difference!!
I Think that John sings the "Dont run and Hide" Part. Al unisono con Paul.
Agreed. They often sang over each other to add a natural "chorus effect"
incredible this guy is pitch perfect and analysing vocals by a band from decades ago that never used any vocal effects ... bands of today listen and weep
I wouldn't say pitch perfect. Listen with earphones or headphones and you can easily tell he is off a little.
u have no idea how much i love and i love singing this song so much! it's like i am playing with my voice and being able to sing it felt like i am singing with them
I just found this video an hour ago and have been listening to it repeatedly since then. You are an amazing singer and explain the two vocals so well. Thank you. Are you still doing more videos like this one?
Yes check this channel out in the next weeks :)
You are a joy. Thank you for these lessons. Great teacher.
The "was in vain" is my favorite part
Your breakdown is perfect - thanks! :)
You brought a whole new dimension to the Beatles mus Dric. I knew I loved the music but now I know why.
You're a consummate educator and performer! A shining beacon from Italy, in my opinion. Bless
Very kind of you, look into your mailbox it would be there in a few hours.
♦️Excelente información de nuestro gran Artista y talentoso Músico, muchas felicidades... Gracias por compartir la información con miles y miles de seguidores. Saludos abrazote y Bendiciones.
Great job , sounds beautiful as it should
***** Grazie mille for the kind words. It's a JOY for me to know this makes the day of kind people like you who also then takes the time to comment :)
The Beatles Vocal Harmony
I'm glad i found your page , it's great , and you do a great job ....
*****
She had an amazing voice I left a comment :)
The first songs I ever learned was at apprx 7 years old , singing along to my sister's 45rpm records - "I Saw Her Standing There" , "Twist and Shout" , "She Loves You" , and "Love Me Do" .... been hooked on the Beatles music ever since ...... and PS - I never believed "Paul was dead" ..... lol
When done live you can't double Paul's voice so John also sings high "I must be
sure . . ." then back down to the low part. Great videos. You are very good.
Hi, this video is really good - just the right amount of explanation and very clear recordings. Thanks
I've tried to sing this for many years, and was baffled every time by what was going on. Damn they were good! And you're damn good too.
True That! I could sing the Paul part...but I couldn't do the John part!
Very good galeazzo purdua, from italy. I appreciate your talent.amazing, awsome, your ultra good in vocalization, blending, n harmony.gradualy learning from ur tutorials, gratis et amore.many tnx. Best wishes, n more power to you! Don s. De guzman from d Philippines.
Unbelievable! Excellent interpretation and elucidation.
Thanks for a such great lesson
After following your videos for two years, I realized thay you're our honorary fifth Beatle. You make learning
the harmonies more approachable, thanks to your heartwarming introductions to the video and afterwards the harmony part itself :)
As far as I've observed you seem to be the nicest and one of the gifted music intructors on RUclips.
+Enes Altinok Thanks Enes for your kind words but Sir George Martin is the 5the Beatle (or the 3rd...) :)
thanks for the vocal insights for this beautiful old but yet relevant today song
4:45 yeah
5:38 double yeah
6:30 Triple yeah
Tremendous lesson! Thanks for the breakdown and explanations. You are a great teacher and wonderful singer! And a Beatles fan too....so you have very good taste. :)
ya gotta dig this guy if you grew up listening (SINGING) TO/ WITH THE BEATLES
Wow ! I just discovered your channel and subscribed after listening to this great tutorial....you are an amazing teacher and a great singer !! Thanks so much !! Love your channel xoxoxo
Fantastic as always. You've got such a beautiful voice -- I can listen to you singing for hours.
The Applesauce Project Thank you so much :)
Oh, nonononono... thank YOU. :D
Thank you for doing this beautiful song, Galeazzo! I had that low harmony part, all except for two notes, and you have helped me! Thanks!!!
Man, awesome job and you have the ear, the vocal skills and the talent to do this. Wonderful job.
GALEAZZO...You are Brilliant! What more can I say?
Excellent video choice. "If I Fell" has always attracted me by its unique harmony - it's probably my most best favorite Beatles song ever (I know there are too many descriptive words here, but Que Sera Sera...) - lol.
Amazing. Thanks for doing all this work. Every song illustrates their genius and your singular devotion. Keep it up.
Your tutorials are simply amazing... Beatles, the best, and you too man.
I personally think John writes better songs but Paul’s vocals take them to another level
Well I'm here 8 years later and i like it.
But as I'm unfortunately late to the harmony party in many ways, I'd like to see the notes so as to follow a piano with John's part.
I shall watch more of your videos now.
This was my first.
And i fell. Lol
I fell for singing harmonies.
Great video for great song. I find John's part to be harder. Each time I sing it I fall into Paul's part ))
Já começaram as imitações, mas, nenhuma chega aos pés desse artista, parabéns !!!!!!
Hey Galeazzo! Thank you so very much for this Tutorial! This song is what I'm practicing for my Monthly Vocal Coach Exam and your lesson and breakdown between the 2 voices totally opened up a new approach on many details I couldn't understand! Really useful and good!!
Great work, Galeazzo ! i've always wondered for about twenty years what the lennon harmony was on "if i fall". Now, i can cover it : Thanks a lot !
This helped me soooo much, thank you from Slovakia
Excellent insight on how this all happens so beautifully.
Thanks for listening
what a clever beautiful artist
