Still one of my best gaming memories ever: landing at area 18 for the first time with a lot of player traffic in sight and this soundtrack blasting for the first time. The way Star Citizen already builds the “feeling” and “experience” is one of the best in the industry
I think what hits the most is how buildings are "real" and you can go wherever you want. Unlike other videogames where you would see buildings from afar but never ever get close to them. This simulation feels "real", because you can go anywhere really, and it doesn't look like a desolate wasteland.
Thats still not completely true for star citizen either. Star citizen has many building that you cant enter. Although they are planning to make interiors for all buildings in the future. This for sure will take years to implement
I think he means more in the sense you can fly by them instead of stare at a backdrop. but you are right they are not accessible, and I do not want my pc to try and render the inside of them lul.@@Cornerala
Yeah - just amazing. Flying into Area 18 in low light, and just gliding across the tops of the buildings with this absolutely stunning track playing is just brilliant.
I started playing star citizen like 3.6 and after that, when they first introduced this planet. A player I met in game flew me to Arc Corp for the first time, in his cool sporty ship. First the view from space was amazing. Then when you enter area 18 this song plays, just makes the place feel bigger than life. I been to grand central station in NYC, and walked around Time square, and been in the subway system a bit. it gave me that vibe. Specially when you hear the lady on speaker in the space port. it was really like you were there lol. However the novelty wore off: in time all the bugs, and the fact my PC could not handle the updates to the game, brought me back to reality. that the game has moments of greatness but then falls in many other areas. hope they fix it soon. I had given the game away to a random person on the internet. And now i want to come back for 3.17 and lag my way to arc corp to try and relive this scene.
Cool sporty ship. I'm betting it was an Origin ship. 😊. Anyway i used to go out of Port Olisar. But after they implemented A18 i ve always started there. Even with the bad Performance i always felt drawn to A18. Also it made me like it even more since the IAE was usually held there. It's been my home city ever since.
Unfortunately files like that that play on radios tend to be tiny in filesize and are therefore an absolute nightmare to sift out of literally thousands of sound effects. Maybe I'll come across it next time I do a deep dive into a build, but that won't happen until there's a patch with a decent amount of new music in it.
You mean the song that plays in the Riker Memorial Spaceport Lounge area, right? This should be it: ruclips.net/video/aJqr76NSbh4/видео.html&ab_channel=chiffmonkey
Hi, I thought the video clip on Arcorp was beautiful, and I wanted to know if I could take it for a video, it will just be for a few seconds if you don't mind of course
1:20 Eargasm of epicness

The soundtrack is already largely gold, yeah.
When you're flying to A18 for the first time and taking in the epic sights, then 1:20 hits

Pedro is a master. Honestly rate his music up there with top composers like Hans Zimmer.
Have to agree. This score is sensational.
I think he's even better than Hans Zimmer.
I'll never get tired of going in area 18 just to ear this masterpiece again and again while i'm flying above this place...
4:06 shivers every time! Such an amazing soundtrack. Well done Pedro!!
Glad I wasn't the only one. ☺
