I think Inertia did what we all expected which is total fire of course but we all seen it coming. Helium for me knocked it out of the park. His power and the speed and energy of his rounds were so good. The way he countered Inertia's bass too was a sucker punch.
Well at the end of inertia’s 2nd round he actually implemented heliums synth trumpet sound which i really wasn’t expecting😮 also heliums round one was half of his entry video and second half was someone elses entry (alexihno)

I came back to watch this again, this is one of the best beat box battles that has ever been. Two completely different styles, but both masters of their sound.
In my opinion it was an OT and I think Helium would win that because Inertia using his bass 3 rounds would not get him the win. Regardless of that this was the best battle (i was at the event!)
For me it’s obviously that helium should have won this battle. Just my opinion . Inertia did the same technique the whole time but helium showed us many techniques and this counter was insane . I was there and I was shocked when I saw the judges pointing at inertia.
I think that helium should have won as well, but I still think it’s really close due to inertia’s second round, he didn’t counter helium directly, but helium was saying with his counter “I can do your main sound better” and inertia was like “well actually my vibration bass is better”. Still think that helium should have won tho.
Yeah it’s quite a bit. My viewer retention by you guys is represented by a line graph and the drop in the first 30 seconds is MASSIVE lol. It’s all good. I’ve hidden secrets in many of my videos in the first 30 seconds because of this 😏

He biomech noise are insane because he brings throat and vibration bass in way it's never been done before
Imagine if helium battled alem, I feel like it would be such a better battle because they would be battling against something they are both very good at. I personally dont really enjoy battles like this even though it was amazing but they have two completely different genres of beatboxing. Helium made a sick counter but that was pretty much it in terms of actually battling against each other. Other than that it was just showing their styles the best they could and thats why i dont really see a clear winner.
I think it is going to be very interesting to see DLow do his judges reaction to this. There have been a couple times he has mentioned that some people sound very different live vs the video. A lot of sounds don't carry that well on the sound system as they do being recorded for the video. I wonder if that played a part. I think Helium probably edged out this win from the videos, hard to say say about live.
I was there live and the counter Helium did was less powerful than Intertia's by just enough- had he been able to continue it for another couple bars it might have been enough, Helium was amazing absolutely, but live the sounds Interia put out were just overpowering.
Does anyone know what the song is that Helium does after his response to Inertia? I swear I know it and it's buried in my brain. I almost thought it was Modestep - Sunlight, but that's not it. It's killing me.... please help
Well everybody on stage saying that Inetia's Bass and high notes was very very powerful ) But I think Helium should win because of many different skills not just invard bass.
Even when you know the result it's hard to say who won (that's what she said). Next time just don't scroll through the comments until you watch the video that's how I do when I don't want to get some spoilers.
I’m probably weird for this opinion but Heliums bass didn’t hit enough and wasn’t as filling as inertia’s, making it somewhat ineffective to me. Still heavy on the technicality and no errors except verrrrry nit-picky ones as pointed out by Maddox
helium won for me clearly inertia is so repetitive we have heard all of the bass variations from vocodah before already and in a better way when it comes to flow and rhythm
It's partially because of the slight break but mostly due to the fact that inertia carried the shock factor still. By this point this was the second and third time they were hearing his bass live so it still carried a lot of the wow factor, in his next rounds it wasn't as effective.
The result of this battle was entirely based on attitude on stage, because technically it’s almost impossible to decide (I personally chose Helium). If Helium showed confidence (by not looking at the floor, not putting his finger in his ear, not closing his eyes). Just by Inertias better confidence and attitude on stage he won.
Closing ear? Bro everyone said that they couldn't hear themselves on the stage, so he, as usual, did it to hear himself. He's been doing it like this in his every video. Helium took the first round, Inertia took the second. As good as Helium's counter was, there were rhythmic issues in his second set. He got off rhythm for at least a good 10 seconds between the initial bounce section and the speedup, that whole transition area sounds off.
