Soundcheck for the Jimmy Kimmel show on 4/11. www.qdrumco.com Still Into You - • Paramore 'Still Into Y... Still Into You ver 2. - • Paramore 'Still Into Y...
The thing that impresses me about his drumming isn't the parts themselves, but how perfectly he plays every single time. That's what you have to do at that level and it's intense.
It’s simply practice. I had to learn this song to play. First I trained the shit outta my left hand so I could play open as he does. Then once you can do that the other parts become far easier as you don’t have to cross. The other patterns aren’t actually that hard when you’ve been playing for some years.
I personally believe Zac Farro is irreplaceable, especially since he has shown that he can handle multiple styles of drumming with their most recent albums
@@SuperDouginator lmao obviously, the part that matters is that he has mastered other styles. People can attempt new styles, but it is special when someone truly masters multiple styles.
Zane Salavon I have and play to QOTSA occasionally. He’s not a touch on Rubin mate. Recently saw him with NIN...he’s nuclear. It’s why Rubin wins drumming awards and JT doesn’t. Awards given out by...drum experts!
Couldn't be further from the truth. He is in The New Regime, Angels & Airwaves, Nine Inch Nails and an owner in Q Drum Company. Those are his day jobs. He does studio and touring work for Paramore because he likes them! That's different than jumping from gig to gig like Josh Freese and other session guys.
yes it is! search up on the web: ilan rubin joins forces with Q drum co music radar. click on the first link. on the the 4 foto, it should show you the kit specs!
NIN lost Freese. They called Ilan. It was the right call. I always loved Hayley, but when she got JMJ and Ilan on this album...nothing short of a coup.
This comment is 2 years old, but, looks like he's not left-handed. I found a Music Radar Q&A article that says: > "So you're right handed, but you play open handed behind the kit, have you always played open, or pick it up over time?" > "Always open handed but also always tried to do everything both ways."
He's a studio musician with mad chops, they call him up to make a record, he kills it, and he moves on to the next gig
Dude’s a fucking monster on nearly any instrument a rock band needs, including vocals. You should see The New Regime.
He’s with Trent and Atticus Ross now, I think he’s here to stay

@@SuperDouginator you don’t understand op original statement
Their original drummer was and still is great but I was stoked when they got this guy
0:37-0:49 gave me life. RIP high hat
Ilan Rubin by far, is the best drummer of Paramore, hands down
I personally believe Zac Farro is irreplaceable, especially since he has shown that he can handle multiple styles of drumming with their most recent albums
@@theparamorememoso can any good drummer.

50/50, Both Zac and Ilan are monsters of drumming
Always zac
Ilan may very well be the most impressive rock drummer on the planet. Simply incredible
Also a fantastic drummer
Zane Salavon Jon Theodore amazing drummer!! Can you imagine him playing with paramore?

props to the camera man on this he did an excellent job. Perfect for other drummers trying to study pro's techniques and learn from them. Thanks!
Freeze/Gillespie/Rubin...paramore better thank the drum gods for their last 3 drummers
ThaTruth223 Zac Farro is still my favorite, tbh.
OMG ... Paramore drum parts is so damn hard
F*uck Yeah!
they're not, they're the perfect mix between a little bit challenging and a a lot of fun.
the first two albums don't have much crazy drumming, but gonna admit many of the stuff on Brand New Eyes onward are pretty hard to drum to
A disco beat and some single strokes?
no
he absolutely killed it i could watch this on repeat
love this guy so so so much
Ilan is such an incredible drummer!!
i gotta admit it, this is the hardest drum part of all paramore songs. still learning the patterns, not going too well though
Careful is even harder for me. I get tired 50 seconds in!
I'mTheDrummer I used to think they were both hard, but as I just played and practiced more, they both became second nature
all 4 drummers that played with paramore are among the best of present era. damn, this band knows how to choose a drummer.
Zac Faro and this guy are Paramore’s greatest drummers! 😎🤘🥁🔥🔥🔥🎸🤘😎
so much power, taste and groove. awesome
daaaaaaaaaaamn!
This and careful.. one of the two hardest paramore songs to drum. I get exhausted after a minute lol.
Whoa... Amazing. Zac farro is a great drummer but this guy is just incredible!

I wish i had his skills!
damn, i got lucky to see him once with NIN ... he's one of my favorite drummers!
does not even begin to describe how amazing this is
Energy is amazing!
I didn't know an octopus can play the drums....
How many hands does he have to do that??? Damn!!
Awesome
Andrés Borda he is not an octopus. That’s ridiculous. He’s a caterpillar. Genius drummer.
Incredible!
I like watching Hayley's head.
0:36 so fking clean
MARAVILLOSO !!! *-*

Illan wrote the entire drums for the self titled album. :) he had a huge role in shaping what that album came to be
0:37 is so tasty
That rimshots sounds clean af
9 years ago, wow.
Correction... He is the new regime. He writes and records it all. His brothers just help him out in lives shows. He doesn't own Q drum co either.
Open handed goodness!!! ♥♥♥
HE'S AWESOME
One of the coolest drum tracks I've heard in a while. Actually took me a bit to figure it out. Great drummer!
that was freakin' awesome
he is better that the past tour drummers :) he should be a paramore official member :)
Why does Ilan Rubin stays for a short period of time? He should've stayed with paramore.
wow. im gonna go set my drum kit on fire now.

He's a session drummer so goes where bands need him.

im sure this drum pattern was inspired by one of his idol Stewart Copeland..he made this song very interesting on the drum parts.
Ofc his the best drummer of the self-title era cuz' he made the drum parts
no, he is using @Qdrumco
damn
are those Audix D6 on the toms?
looks like them :)
...Where do you get your information from? He is definitely is one of the owners of Q Drum Co.
NIN lost Freese. They called Ilan. It was the right call. I always loved Hayley, but when she got JMJ and Ilan on this album...nothing short of a coup.

He isn't someone that that stays long with a band.... look at his bio..
Is he lefthanded?
Yes he is. But plays bass drum with his right foot.
