Jamie, honey, magic and fantasy creatures and wizards does not automatically mean kid friendly. I know I certainly wouldn't call realistic looking wolf spiders ranging in size from a Volkswagen Beetle to a house, werewolves who can't control their bloodthirsty instincts during a transformation, phantoms that will literally suck the life out of you, a competition that has like an 80% chance of killing the participants if they make so much as one wrong move, or several depictions of dead human bodies, "child friendly." Edit: Let's not forget the use of a "love potion," that is only shown being used by girls because of the nasty implications of a man being shown using it. Wouldn't call THAT "Kid friendly" either.
@@mattpace1026He’s praising a theme park for their rides. He’s firmly and completely delusional. I have no doubt now that vat19 makes donations to the RNC

Thank you for putting Eric on the screen again and making my life so much better. I’ve been sick for almost 7 days now and seeing Eric just makes me feel better. I ❤ Eric.
1. Harry potter is not for kids. 2. Even if it were, its not nice to gatekeep things. There's nothing wrong with adults loving things that they loved when they were kids, it's nostalgia.
@TheUnitedStatesQfAmerica ok, nobody said you had to. But also, you are wrong, I'm a cringe adult. That is my gamer tag, The Angel Of Death was already taken.
I mean… whilst I get your point, I read them young. also, look at other things people say “are for kids”: dead end park, watership down, all dogs go to heaven, beetlejuice: the cartoon, and the board game 13 dead end drive. I wouldn’t argue these things aren’t things kids should be protected from, or unfriendly towards kids; I would, however, argue they are very clearly an all ages thing.
Harry potter was written for people who were kids at the time the books began, and continued to increase their darker themes as the audience got older. And these days new kids read the books all the time while the original fans who are now adults still like them. There's nothing wrong with liking books meant for kids, but they were definitely written for the tween-young adult audience, that's just a fact
Jamie Jamie Jamie my guy, so many of us adults grew up with Harry Potter. I'm 38 now. I was 11 when the first book came out, the same age as Harry himself. Those books were a part of my childhood (well teenagerhood).. That's why grown adults still like Harry Potter. Besides, magic, witches, wizards, etc have no age limit.
The friendships lamp could be used to discretely request help from a friend to call 911 if your in a situation where you could get killed calling 911 yourself
i like those lamps, as a gamer its hard to HEAR anything in the background as im w headset but lamp changing colors would bring my attention and ur idea of an emergency color is quite nice tbf
What Jamie doesn't realize is that most of the adults that love Harry Potter were kids when the first books and movies came out, myself included. I was six when the first movie came out and was sixteen when the last one came out. It was a major part of my childhood. Everyone has at least one thing from their childhood that they just can't let go of. Edit:There is also a lot of NOT kid friendly content. Such as.... 1:Abuse 2:Death 3:Torture 4:Blood 5:Blood thirsty monsters 6:Love Potions(Voldemort's mother dosed a man against his will and had a child by him) book 7:Implications of Incest Just to name a few
Did Jamie even see a Harry Potter movie? Or read any of the books? Maybe the first book was for kids, but the franchise grew up with the characters and audience.
I have a twenty one year old sister with a house, a husband, a kid, and is currently pregnant, that loves Harry Potter and collects harry potter legos.
If the harry potter lamp got rejected just because kids would lose the wand, then all the other toys in stock should be rejected too because kids are gonna lose them anyway.
I know you think the friendship lamps are terrible. But during the covid lockdown, when we couldn't visit with my parents, I got the lamps so my son could have one, and I sent the other to my parents so they could light them up for each other and they loved it! I do think it's kind of silly for adults, but it's a really good idea for grandkids and grandparents, especially if they don't live close to each other.

Jamie I’m on your side. I went to universal one time and was so annoyed seeing adults dressed up in full costumes. Hate me comments!! I’m standing with Jamie on this one!!!
When I was a kid,I wanted one of those Boglins so bad. I asked for my birthday, I asked for Christmas. For 2 years or more I begged for one of those. I was crushed when I never got one. Still to this day I am so upset and sad that I never had one 😢
We got to appreciate Jamie not being scared to voice his opinions though, whether or not you agree with them. Nowadays ppl be scared to say their opinions, for the sake of being attacked all around for not having the "correct opinion".
There’s a difference between your opinion and opinions that infringe on basic human rights of others. Yeah, I’m a bit offended he thinks cosplay is just for kids, but it’s not going to stop me from having fun. If he were trying to lobby for laws that prevent me, an adult, from being able to cosplay is where it’s no longer your opinion, but you being a jerk and trying to take away another person’s rights. He also went about it in the right way, he wasn’t being nasty or a bully. But I think it’s more he feels silly and embarrassed if he were to do it, which is ok. We all enjoy different things. Also, I highly doubt most parents would shell out the big bucks cosplay can cost. It’s awesome some of the things that can be created with cardboard, paper, duct tape and paint!
The amount of people insisting that the books explicitly written for and sold to children somehow aren't for children is really sad. You sound like you have the mold in your house too
Petition to approve the spooky hand with candle. It's cool !! I can have it in my room irrespective of halloween. It's definitely my vibe Jamie disappointed me over this. Even harty Potter candle is cool but losing the wand is legitimate so I don't defend it but I wanna say... Not all cool stuffs meant for child let the inner child live 🥹🤌
As for the Harry Potter Candle, if you lose the wand I'll bet most smartphones at least have an app that will work with it. Plus, most universal remotes should work, because that is all the wand is, is a on/off remote.
What have you done to poor Francis? Did you guys forget to screw in his tail? Lol. I know, the tails are a bit hard to wrestle from the box. I can never save my boxes, I always destroy them getting the tail out.
Jamie just insulted soooooooooo many people 😅 and dogs 🤣
And in more ways than one!!!!!!

Ah yes because nothing screams kid friendly more than a teacher literally scarring a student for life
Jamie's probably one of those idiots who sees bright colors and instantly thinks it's for kids. Guess no one told him about the 60s, or the 70s.
Ironic 'cause he has a Gatchaman shirt (an anime which makes it "for kids")

Every book should be that way, I feel. But at the same time, they should make it to where you can make the wand feature an option, just in case.
I don't like harry potter either but Jamie is a mega Kill joy. His life lacks whimsy.
Yet he leads a company that's supposed to be all about whimsy...make it make sense 😂
