Fred Armisen is a pretty underrated talent. This guy is awesome, he can do anything. He's a comedian, actor, a writer, a director, producer, he can play guitar, drum, he can mimic different accents, etc. He's a very talented and well rounded artist.
His musical numbers on SNL always killed and were so diverse - Blue Jeans Committee, the hardcore band at a wedding (with Dave Grohl), the Bossa Nova (with Alec Baldwin). I could go on...All gold, and so different!
@@neutron5000 just something many guitar players do, that's not essential in playing the d-chord. They basically alter the chord (which is easy to do, just change one finger) to a sus chord. It's funny (not as in a joke, but as in "funny observation") because you don't have to do that, you can just play a D chord. But because it's so easy, many automatically will go for that "trick"
I love the ska part at the end. Jimmy getting up and skanking with the Roots (it is the the Roots still, right?) joining in and adding a full band. Absolutely beautiful.
Being Norwegian. That song wasn’t far from the real deal! Very well done! Lyric goes: "Fløy en liten blåfugl, gjennom vindu gjennom vindu, gjennom vindu Fløy en liten blåfugl, gjennom vindu - en dag i mai"
Got to see Fred’s show tonight in Oxford, it was very similar! Afterwards he allowed my dad and I to meet him before he got on the bus and he was just so kind. What an all-around great guy 😊
I love how Jimmy Fallon is a talk show host who interviews people, and he comes up with this great bit: "I'll ask my guest different questions...." revolutionary!
I'd expect nothing less from the restless, groundbreaking creative pioneer who uses television to play Pictionary, sing pre-existing theme songs as Neil Young, and giggle through movie scene re-enactments. No one brings more to the table that was already at the table before he brought it.
@Clay Chiarelott the reason i watch any clip of comedy, is... i think i might laugh...I don't understand you...why are you trolling me...I just think it's funny...simple...it's funny...I don't care about Jimmy...He was hilarious when i was ten...sometimes he's still funny...I'm open minded, and i give people a chance to be funny...I hope Jimmy has a lovely day, and i really don't care...I love the premise of his show..a talk show...the bit i think is funny because it has the same premise as the show itself....please reply...I love wasting my time talking to trolls...it makes me laugh...You miss, I hope are laughing too...it's what it's all about. peace sister.
Fred is a legend. Fred is godlike with his comedic timing. Only an appearance of a talent like Fred could make me watch and engage with the ever-breaking Jimmy Fallon…
This is just what I needed on a Friday night.. eating pho 🍲 .. and drinking a glass of wine 🍷🥳🥱 Watching both of you guys crack me up! We love ya’ll both! Much Aloha 🤙🏽 from Hawai’i ❤️🏄🏽♀️
Fred is right spot on with ska in Chile, just check out Los Miserables or La Floripondio, but I think even more in argentina with even more fusioned styles like Los Cadillacs, Los Pericos or even 2 minutos. What a talent!
😂🤣😂🤣 giving back the guitar. Straight SNL but 👏👏👏👏. I like how Fred literally makes you think on music styles from around the world. He’s actually very on point.
I remember when he and Carrie peeked around a corner on Portlandia! Waiting for breakfast, wanting to check out the table early; they loved breakfast so much.
I went to school with Fred and he nicknamed me Milk because one day I drank milk.. it stuck and kids bullied me for the rest of my school years. It really hammered my self esteem but after years of studying and working hard, I'm now the 46th, current president of the United States.

Why do you say he's underrated? Why do people always say that when he is totally not underrated.
I rate Fred Armisen so high in my heart. Jimmy too.
He can also peak around corners!
@@wildechild5 It’s usually idiots like this they call people underrated because all their friends aren’t talking about them this week.
I love seeing SNL alum interacting with each other because they just totally fall into a groove of "yes, and", and it's so fun to watch ❤
BOR-RING!!!
Ok, improv nerd.
what the heck do you guys think you’re watching…
Love, love, love this! Fred is extremely UNDERrated and skilled in music as well as comedy! What a pleasure!
I absolutely love when Fred comes on and does these! They're so on point. I crack up!
The D-chord bit made me laugh pretty hard, because yes I do always have to do that
Dude this made me laugh pretty hard 🤣
could you please explain the joke with the D-chord

Yes, it just feels wrong NOT to do it, I just can't resist...
I learned it from "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and never went back to normal D chord
Seriously could watch them for way longer what fun!! What a talent Fred has!
I love the ska part at the end. Jimmy getting up and skanking with the Roots (it is the the Roots still, right?) joining in and adding a full band. Absolutely beautiful.
I think he was refering to venezuelan ska band DESORDEN PUBLICO. You should check their music!
Fred Armisen is another one of my favorite people. I love snl cast (former and current) people! 💙
I could totally go for a whole evening of Fred and Jimmy both playing guitar, harmonizing and improvising silly stuff!
Me too.
I completely agree!
So basically Fred Armisen's show that already exists but with Jimmy adding nothing to it.
@@LorenzoDoesntExist what show does Fred have that's like this?
Me too but with Jimmy completely silent
Fred Armisen is so incredible. The chemistry between him and Jimmy is the best.
Fred is a comedic genius, I adore him
I'd 100 percent buy all the tickets to a Fred clone band show
He already have it on Netflix
@Mot Goaiu exactly.
The Blue Jean committee

Fred always tries his best.
Am I right?
He's an effective corner peeker.
Mad skills.
Fred is such a humble and honest funny guy that makes you laugh with just an expression

Hey I was at that show too! Awesome that you got to meet him.
Fred rocks in everything. He could lean on the lyrics in that bit more. His insight is true comedy.
Fred Armisen is such an amazingly talented person.
The way he’s able to switch from his pick to finger picking without loosing his pick is very impressive.
Oh my goodness! Guitar playing styles around the world! That was so awesome!!! 🙌
Fred has been in character for 25 years
Definitely more Fred please. So great! Thank you Jimmy and The Roots!!!
I'm from Argentina and what he said about South America is so true of today's rock music it's sick!
I love how Jimmy Fallon is a talk show host who interviews people, and he comes up with this great bit: "I'll ask my guest different questions...."
revolutionary!
Even more revolutionary than the Colbert Questionnaire!

The norwegian guitar style is so accurate... And i'm not ashamed.

Tbh when Fred sings I wanna listen and I wish there was more of it but he always makes you laugh in the middle of it somehow😂 Amazing man
Norwegian was spot on. I know because I am a Norwegian guitar.
That line about the D chord. OMG. So true.
I never did that thing with the D chord ……until now. I’m screwed

Fred has the most unique sense of humour. Love the guy!
Fred has such a unique comedy genius! Under rated IMOl.
💯
As an Australian, that was spot on for Aussie rockers 🤣
HAHAHA! LOVE the fact that his "Norwegian" song REALLY is a Norwegian children's song :D
Fred is probably one of the most under-rated sketch comedians. He's a savant! Extremely talented in all aspects of the Performance Arts.
You could fill a book with things that make perfect sense to Fred Armisen and almost no sense to everyone else.
I love Fred Armisen I feel like I would just enjoy every single moment hanging out with him multy talented and just all around great guy
I thought the peek would be cringy but he’s right. A lot of talent there! ❤️🤟🏻
Fred's delivery of "Aye, Dios mio" is on par with peeking around a corner.. He's just funny..
Fred’s the bomb 🎉🎉❤❤❤
Fred is awesome!!! And the little 2Tone jam at the end was very sweet... 🥰
Love Fred doing that musical comedy!!❤️
The Roots playing SKA and Jimmy skanking at the end just made my week! Pick it up!

Very midnight oil
Fred is a national treasure
I think no one could pull off those kind of jokes better than fred
i am offended by his accuracy of guitarists LOL Fred Armisen never disappoints
His Norwegian song is an actual song as well, with the actual lyrics. Genius.
He's a multi instrumentalist. Darn fine drummer.
Love Fred!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Fred Armisen is my HERO!!!!!!
I related so hard with that d-chord thing 😀
I love Fred Armisen! Miss Portlandia (former Portland resident)
QuestLove wasn't feeling that peeping around the corner bit 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I love this! Plus everything with Fallon!
As soon as I saw "corner peak" I remembered him doing it in broad city...and he did it just the same here. Undefeated corner peaker!
Fred with an instrument is another level of fun.
Awesome
I loved his comedy set with him playing drums. He's really talented.
Only Fred could pull off that peeking bit. He's one of my favorite entertainers. I would love to see Portlandia come back.

The way Jimmy ended the interview without verbally telling Fred to stop and started dancing , shows how good he is in his job
