I actually liked that as personally you look at how much some of the team has supported Daniel it is good to have time to relax together too. Fishing with Terry was great and I’m not a fisherman, but Terry has been such a big help so it is great we have seen him have time to relax and also see Terry become a dad.

I used to work for an electronics company and we would ship 70-100 packages per day, packing would be done and ready in under an hour and with 3 staff. Key to success was the ergonomics of the space, packing was treated like a production line and the flow of the space meant that time wastage was at a minimum. We literally had one person making the boxes, one picking the items, one packing and the picker would check each box before sealed by the packer. Worked a treat. We were in Wembley and used Night Freight (now DX Freight) who would collect all parcels at 430pm, and all were guaranteed next day delivery. Worth a shout if you're still looking for a solution 👍

Dan, coming from a family that watch/ worked with his dad that owned his own company (drywall delivery, or as you call it “plasterboard”) please make sure you keep in mind you run this company to afford the lifestyle you please, don’t let to company run you. You’ve hired great people and put trust into them to do their job. After 15 years my dad growing and scratching he sold his company for a huge profit. It’s going to be the best thing he’s done, he’ll get to enjoy his life again. He’s 65 it’s time to enjoy his life, not let a company stress him all day everyday. We were the biggest independent distributor on the east coast, one of the last ones of any size but the last couple years he learned to trust his people and it made his life much better! Best of luck Dan, always rooting for the little guy!

Daniel, years ago I worked for a telecoms firm in London. Why do I tell you this? Because we had lots of overdue clients on 60/90/120+ days not paying. Myself and the head of the fraud team went out to these locations on the tube and would return each day with backpacks filled with CASH. No excuses we’re accepted. Warm them if they don’t pay on time you will send it to collections agency and will ultimately fire clients who don’t pay on time or serial offenders. Find out which clients add most to your bottom line and get more of those. The normal distribution is 20% of clients bring 80% of income aka Pareto’s Law. Get more 20% clients and get rid off the 80% who don’t bring much value though they bring more headaches and drama.
If you’re office staff aren’t retrieving that money then you either need to fire them or train them with some scripts etc….and get fucking paid! 🙂

Fair play Daniel. Anyone in the industry who knows how it works, can see there would be so very little chance of you running non-compliant, particularly given how public you make yourself with your channel. Eyeball any of your videos you never see a tyre with low tread, full time guys in the yard etc watching all this stuff.
Unfortunately with the way the world is, people love to see a fall from grace, some sort of dark side of human nature. I think you offer too much explanation, but I can see why. If people see it rattles you, however, they will always keep trying to poke the bear.
Anyway, often share your videos around for people who want an insight into the industry. Unique channel you have here, keep going 👍🏻

Daniel mate I know exactly how u feel. It’s tough and there’s times when you feel so low but the worst feeling is when you can’t pay creditors due to cash flow issues. I’ve had this 3 years ago when I took on the labour plant and materials of a large housing development and in the end lost almost 300k. I honesty thought I was going to go under and the stress and and anxiety of that I will never forget. And then covid hit and it saved me. Irish government started to spend spend spend on health care and I got 4 big hospitals Groundwork contacts that were very viable. Paid all creditors off in 3 months and grew from 6 excavators and 16 staff to 30 staff and 13 excavators. We’re in a construction boom here at the moment and I never looked back. Lesson learnt. NEVER SUPPLY MATERIALS INTO BIG JOBS

And there gonna be no crash in that time with the demand for housing, schools, pharma projects that’s ahead. in life there are people that take chances, they may succeed of may not and then there’s those negative begrudges in that background that love to wait for our next doomsday. I’ve been through that but were a country that has learned form our mistakes and in a very strong position with steady economic growth. Cheer up it may never happen.

But mind you we aren't the size of Ashville, I own a prefabricated housing, construction and mass manufacturing company so not exactly the same industry but with certain similarities.

Daniel, Hello from the Land Down Under, Two things. First. As of Watching this at 8:13PM in Brisbane, The end title cards are not active. Two. For your NAS, RAID is not a backup. Like on your Trucks Redundancy is not perfect. If you blow a tire on the drive you are not going to continue to run the truck like that, you need to take it off the road to get it repaired which you need another truck to take its place or run with no truck. With any data, even cloud data. BACK UP YOUR DATA. As an IT Guy it is incredibly hard to tell people there data is gone, they get upset and ask why did you not prevent this. PLEASE Back up your data. This does not only apply to local data, even you cloud systems. Google, Microsoft, Apple, Dropbox, most of the other Cloud Providers no not explicitly back up your data, especially if you are the one at fault for the loss of data in the first place weather though malware/ransomware or human malicious intent or neglect. I Look forward to see what comes in 2022, Best of Luck. Michael

Another great video love also seeing Terry doing some content. Good luck with the new venture with the additional work through the yard and the new projects. It is also a great reminder to viewers that sometimes things will be done like the yard upgrades which you can not go into detail about the reasons why it is being done at the time due to commercially sensitive issues.
Daniel seen someone mention Amazon is this something you have considered as their FBA service seems to work well when I have been the customer.
Also you have three sets of steps in the yard to reach the raised offices and training room just wondering if you have thought of linking the platforms so you and the team can get between the various raised rooms quicker saving time because as we all know in business time is money.

Watching the video of the train unloading I was thinking wouldn't it be cool if you could have some kind of overhead suction system to suck the material out of the carriages and into the bays that way you would get every drop of material out of the carriages eliminating any waste. A bit like those lorry's with the suction hose on the back for excavating around pipes and cables. Probably would cost a lot but would be cool.

Love your videos , "Its Show Buisiness not Show Friends!! " They only pay late once. Plenty of good customers who pay on the nail out there, the rest can go.
    Keep up the good work

Great video. Running a business is about making money, building relationships and getting paid. If you are not doing this, running potential customers credit history to get an idea about them paying on time may help. Also placing a lien on the property where the product was delivered to and the customers property to receive on time payments. If the laws in the UK allow that. You have a great team that work hard. People have to understand price increases are occurring every where and businesses are going to pass it on the customers. That is the nature of business. Customers have to make a choice to get on board or get off the train. Amazon is an option for package delivery.

Hey Daniel, I never miss your contents. I can see people are jealous of your success but let them not discourage you from growing your business. Just remember as a person of color, you will always be subjected to that. Many cannot swallow the fact that a person of color can run a successful multimillion pounds business. I feel sorry for them. Love and encouragement from the USA!
