  • So I found loads of water behide the seats and found that the two of three drain holes were blocked
    I used the trombone brush to unblock the drain holes
    Very easy to do as seen in video for the mk3 2006
    Only advise I could give is to make sure ur roof is half down to access the hole
    www.mx5parts.co...
    That's where I got the brush from
    Thanks for watching

    My RF flooded, I've now made myself some filters to sit in the side scoops, hopefully this will prevent this from happening again 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    Bought the identical cleaner from Amazon. Have tried both sides for over an hour at every conceivable angle with no luck.. Have now given up. On a bright note my carpet in dry behind the driver sest.. Its the boot carpet thats wet on my mk3..

      Hey Carl , I removed my boot carpet because it was always getting wet and smelled pretty bad ! Looks much better and u can find the hidden holes under the carpet that allow the water that gets stuck to then fall out the little holes which is underneath the carpet ! And with the brush try pushing it at a angle towards the seats ! Good luck

      Dino02 Varnasidis Hi Dino.. I will look into removing the boot carpet..however i can see that the water is getting in at the front of the boot on the left just approx where the cable/flexi hose from the boot lid enters the boot. Im gonna remove the plastic panel and see what's happening behind it.. Regarding the drainage holes i can only assume that mine a different design or are entirely blocked. I have now spent another hour and my trombone cleaner continues to coil up and no hole can be found. I am following all videos and advice on aiming for the direction of the gear stick.. I have tried shallow and deep angles.. I have used force and also tried very slowly trying to move the cleaner around til i felt an opening..lol..sounds so wrong..lol...anyway.. I am going to pour hot water in the top of the little square opening that you show in your video.. If it comes out the bottom perhaps i wont need to clean.. Cheers..

      I had the same problem as yourself ...... I could not get a cleaning wire into the holes behind the seats .. ......What I did instead was get under the car and locate the holes where the water drains out ... You have to push a plastic flap out of the way , be careful not to break it ...It stops road noise from entering the pipe , but it gets blocked by leaves .... I then pushed a thin wire up from underneath the side of the car .. ......until it came out by the back of the seats .... It did not line up with the holes on top and I would never have been able to do it from above ....!........ Hope this makes you feel better

      I also had this once ....Going from memory I removed the plastic covers in the boot close to the fuel cap and sealed a cable or something that was passing into the boot .. No problems since .

      Mike Crowley hi Mike. I purchased an endoscope from Amazon. It connects directly to my mobile phone via Bluetooth and displays on the screen of my mobile. Brilliant for getting eyes on things .. I bought this unit FLOUREON 5M Endoscope, HD 720P 8.0mm Waterproof Inspection Camera for Android Smartphone/Windows PC (Android/5M) www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07427C57S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_g15BAb4DMFPYC

    Hello, I've just bought an NC 2007 model. I find my passenger mat wet. Only passenger mat but the space behind the seat is dry. I passed the trombone brush through the driver's side a couple of times and it seems pretty clean. However, I cannot pass it through the passenger's side. Do you think is it because it's blocked from mud? Is it logical that i find only the passenger's front side (mat) wet and not at all behind its seat?

    • @dino_var6681
      @dino_var6681  6 лет назад

      If u can’t pass the trombone pass the passengers side it’s cuz it’s blocked so u have to take your time trying to pass through! Put some hot water where the drain hole is and work ur way with the trombone brush,that should help and also keep a eye on the back seat if wet maybe it got dryed or the water passed on the side of the chair and left the water on the front carpet !hope that helps :)

      Hi, I don't think it's the rain drains. Maybe is the Windscreen Cowl Grommet. Do you know what I need to seal it with silicone? What I need to undo the wipers and the cowl to get access to it?

    • @dino_var6681
      @dino_var6681  6 лет назад

      Open cowl grommet and have a look ! If u can’t find the problem maybe invest in a hard roof maybe or even take it to a Mazda garage
      Best of luck

      I was told by service manager to use the crevice tool attached to your vacuum cleaner every now and again, to suck out any debris,
      my RF flooded last week, I took it to the dealership, they removed the carpets to be cleaned and cleared the blocked drainage system, the dealership tried to charge me for this, I was raging, I pointed out no one told me about the drainage system or that it needed maintenance and there is nothing in the handbook about it, Mazda customer care got a call from me and suddenly the charges were dropped
