Finally got her started at 8:15 pm. I had changed the dead coil and watched the video again.
Cleaned the spark plugs, which I bypassed at the first attempt to start her. I had spark under the cap but noticed the fresh gas from my gas can was not reaching the carb. The new in line gas filter that I attached between the fuel pump and carb was whitish and looked sandy.
I put fresh gas directly to the carb and she started and ran smoothly for a few seconds. Smiling ear to ear and my girlfriend caught it on a short video.
Already pulled the brake master cylinder and clutch cylinder. Going to run new lines and replaced those fore mentioned items. I'm ordering a new fuel filter.
Thanks for the video it helped me.

The only thing that would make that scout any cooler is finding an original half cab top for it.

Awesome video that scout was the first vehicle I learned to drive ! Setting in my dad's lap steering down a old dirt road ! He push the gas and clutch and I shifted gears and steered it ! Thank you for the video and the great message of God's ever last love ! Amen !

You guys just put a huge smile on my face and brought back a lot of childhood memories. I grew up behind the wheel of a 64 scout 800 with my grandfather teaching me all I ever needed to know about these incredible 4wheelers. Sadly our went onto greener pastures last year and its dearly missed. If you need to know anything about this cool rig please feel free to reach out.

Great video. My Dad bought a 61 Scout in 1976. I drove it more than he did and did a lot of damage to it but I was determined to keep it running. I think I touched just about every part of that Scout the years we owned it. Carburetor, fuel tank and gauge unit, brakes, differentials, drive shafts, transfer case, transmission, electrical, seat, body, etc. I had a lot of good memories driving it and learned a lot working on it. One thing I never understood was why IH used so many SAE(fine thread) bolts and nuts. I broke many trying to loosen them.

I had this video going as a was doing something else mainly as background noise. But at the very end you started to testify about finding Jesus and I stoped what I was doing and started to pay very close attention even rewinding and watching it more than once. You see I am brand new in finding my salvation and I am still struggling and your message touched my soul. You made this video a year and half ago never knowing how much I needed to hear it. Thank you for being willing to put your faith on display in a public forum where so many people attack God and his followers. I hope that God will bless you tremendously for this video.

Wow! The patina on that Scout is off the charts! I’ve been trying to patina my Scout 80 to look like this for 6 months now. It will never look as natural as this one does but you’ve given me so many more ideas on how I want mine to look. Great job, God Bless.
