    Full stack is for startups. In big organizations they need a dedicated expert for their product. Full stack developers are good for creating prototypes. The day the product becomes complex or big the company start looking for a dedicated expert. Full stack is good for freelancers or people working in startups with a small team.

    • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  4 года назад +1

      Who are experts? Experts are people with experience who have practiced many many years. So the starting will always be a small project or a small product. You will not directly get to work for a full fledged product. But if your knowledge on full stack is good and if you do a good internship then even as fresher you can get a very good salary. That is the point.

    Sir As a Java developer what can we learn as front end and database ... Sir can we use Cloud computing (like AWS) instead of sql or MySQL in any application. Sir please make a video about database like sql , nosql and cloud .. and which database is more demanded in future . That can used with Java ..

    • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  4 года назад +1

      You should be technology agnostic. What I mean is that instead of focusing your attention on a particular database like SQL or No SQL, learn one form of database and then also understand the other form of a database. SQL has been popularised by Oracle, MS SQL, and My SQL so in the last 20 years these database technologies were on the rise. In the last few years, No SQL is becoming a popular choice. Don't worry about what is popular today because it can become obsolete tomorrow. We don't know what will remain tomorrow. Instead, only focus on what problems are you solving? And to solve those problems, What are the software or database tools you are using? Tomorrow better tools will come. You can learn those tools and use them at that time. About cloud computing, I made this video ruclips.net/video/vMEo03nMcf8/видео.html it will give you good details about what you can do. About can we use Cloud Computing instead of SQL or No SQL - if your application needs to store data then you will need a database? But if your application does not store any data then you don't need any database. The choice of the database depends on what you are going to do with your application or data generated. In my 23 years, I have used SQL and MySQL for storing data for all my projects. I have not had a chance to work with No SQL Softwares.

    Challenges : Integration,consuming api ,api development is ok, but handling client for design issue is headache...

    • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  4 года назад +1

      If you want to handle client easily then you need to learn a few ways in which you can communicate to the client. Always ask yourself - what does the client actually want? Instead of what does he need. These two are different things. Once you understand that try to always look through the lens of clients wants every time you deliver something. As far as design issues are concerned. I will always try to create a mockup before the final product. Mockups are easier can be even done using GUI tools instead of writing the code then having to change it. Another thing I learned is that if you design any UI that is consistent throughout your project making sure everything is aligned. All fonts - spellings - everything is correct. Then it becomes difficult for the client to pick mistakes. Also one last advice. Never - ever - argue with your client. That does not help. I have done that and it has always backfired miserably. Divya, I am building a course on becoming an A player in your work. I will be sharing more information but in that course I am going to share how to excel in your work in any environment. Java is in huge demand. Irrespective of whether you are into Full Stack Developer or not. Java has many frameworks that you can use. So when we talk about full stack it is mostly about web development using JavaScript or Python. That is why I did not mention Java. Here is the difference most of the best product companies use Java. • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  4 года назад +2

      Hello Gopikanta, In Java, you will need to learn Core Java, JSP Servlets, Hibernate or Spring Framework, some restful API or the java web services framework, and spring boot. Along with some database technology. Java EE Foundations here pluralsight.pxf.io/QDamx will give you a foundation for all these things except spring. Spring is an independent framework and if you work on any project using spring then you will be able to learn quickly. But the foundation is important for starting your journey in full-stack development with java.

    What Advice Should you give as an Expert for a guy like me?

    • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  4 года назад +1

      You can focus on MERN Stack because you like JavaScript. Also MERN as well as MEAN have a lot of demand. More demand than Python Django. Django is mostly used in projects that are in Data Science Field. But MERN and MEAN stack are used more for Web Development Projects. So you will have a lot of scope by just focusing on MERN and making sure you are an expert in MERN.

    Hi Sir,
    I would like to switch from Windows production support to a Full Stack Java developer. I am having 2.6 years of overall experience. I completed 9 real time projects to become a Full Stack Developer that includes realtime Full Stack Java Application with Spring Boot and Angular 9 from scratch and a realtime Microservices Application using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud..
    Currently i am actively looking for job opportunities for a Full Stack Java developer. In an recent interview one of the Director asked me what is my daily work as a Full Stack Java Developer and what are my roles and responsibilities. I was not able to explain better and he felt like there are few gaps...
    Please provide your basic suggestions on what a Full Stack Developer do on daily basis like :
    1. What he checks first just after login to his system.
    2. What will be his role and responsibilities as 2+ years experienced person
    3. Shall we proceed to say that i am part of Agile? If not how can i deal the question..
    4. What kind of calls do you have on daily basis? If Agile/Scrum or If not Agile/Scrum
    5. What kind of requests we receive for troubleshooting? Frontend or Backend
    6. How Full Stack Developer deploy the newly implemented feature into Production apart from PCF and cloud technologies(Docker, Kubernetes)
    7. How Full Stack Java developer make use of Microservices?
    Sorry if have misstated anything above.

    • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  4 года назад +1

      Hi Saiteja, You have to be honest with whatever company you are interviewing for. You were in Windows production support and now you are moving to software development. So you should tell this really frankly but politely with a smile that in terms of Full Stack Development you are a fresher. Then you can explain why and how you became a full stack developer. Tell this as a good story that people would like to listen. Work on your story so that it is interesting as well as intriguing. After that you should tell your interviewer to give you a chance and that you will prove yourself within 30 to 90 days time. Tell them you will not give them a chance regret their decision if they give you the job. If you are sincere then you will get the job in the right company. Don't worry about companies that reject you because they are not right for you. God always has bigger plans for us. So keep interviewing and when you find the right job within 30 to 90 days learn everything about full stack developer with your sincerity and hardwork. After 90 days your team should feel that you are working with them since 2 years. Once you do that nobody can stop you from success.

    • @MusingsbyAmit

      Never fake because you will carry your guilt throughout your life. Infact you tell them that you were in support then you developed your interest in programming so you learned programming on the side. You can also say that support helped you in understanding the clients requirement very closely and what kind of problems clients face. This is an advantage you have. Tell that you want to transition into programming. I also started as Support Engineer and I never hide this fact. For first 18 months of my career I was a support engineer. Congrats on having a vision and the focus to achieve your goal. Now go out and find the right opportunity that will help you in the future.

So you can learn programming and also english along with that. Do some certification depending on what programming language you like? Then you will be able to shift from Mechanical to Computer backgroud. Also remember that the competition is very high in Computer Field. Because there are more engineers who come out every year in Computer Science more than any other field of Engineering.

      The easiest way to become a full stack developer is to find a job on linkedin and read the job description. In this case you can search for jobs in Full Stack Development + ASP DOT NET then you read a few job descriptions. Though building applications in ASP dot NET is also full stack development the industry does not call it. They will just say web development with ASP NET. That is the challenge because Microsoft has built these tools and a lot of people learn these tools that there are many engineers with this knowledge. So it becomes difficult to call yourself Full Stack with ASP even if you are doing the same thing like other Web Development Platforms.

  • @SaudBako
    @SaudBako 4 года назад +1

    I don't understand the difference.
    Isn't full stack already software development?

    • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  4 года назад

      Yes Full Stack is also Software Development. Only there is a difference. If you look at the software developer position then they will be asking either for a front end developer or a back end developer or a data base developer. You will also see that most companies will combine everything and then still call it software development. But full stack development combines different technologies to make a complete application. Like if I use Visual Basic .NET, I can build a desktop application in Visual Basic .NET without the need of knowing any other technology or platform. But if I am building a Web Application even with ASP.NET I will still need to know HTML, JavaScript and CSS at the least. I will need to understand security infrastructure across a network. So Desktop Development was always considered as software development but now in Web Development multiple technologies have a part to play. So a full stack developer is required to understand each part correctly. Even today I see that Web Development companies hire Front End Developers and Back End Developers separately. But a lot of new startups are depending on Full Stack Development. It is also difficult to master multiple technologies unless you know exactly how to do it. Best wishes.

You at least need to know the basics of how you are going to set up the webpages and applications if you are going to do freelancing. Question is why do you want to do freelancing? If you can explain then I will be able to guide you better. In freelancing, you can just handle one thing that is your unique solution to your clients. If you want to build an application as a freelancer what big companies are doing with a team of more than 20 to 30 people then it will be difficult. No the salaries in US work quite differently. You need to understand that the average salary for a general software engineer in US is about $50K to 60K. In India it is $4K to $5K so it is easier in India if you do some specialisation to get upto 4x times hike for Full Stack or Data Science if you are really good. But in US it will be around 1.5x to max 2x. My understanding is based on working with US managers from 2008 onwards.

      Karthik you can do a full stack development course from any place. I am not aware how good or bad is Upgrad. About Offline Coaching - again it depends on the kind of place you are doing this course. I generally recommend you do it from a place where you get a proper certification and that certification is useful to show in the industry. So when you select the institute talk with them and ask them which companies accept their certification and ask for students who have passed from that institute. Check that before you move forward. • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  4 года назад +1

      The early bird gets the worm. All software engineers are working from home. Yes, work may be lesser and there may be fewer projects. But with all-time at hand those engineers who upgrade their skills will be the early birds who will catch the worm when everything settles down. I know so many software engineers who will ridicule this idea but then I know those few software engineers and I have worked with such engineers who keep upgrading their skills when they are on bench or don't have a project that takes up all their time. During appraisals, promotions and job search these engineers who built a stack of certificates really get the best jobs and promotions. Other engineers keep wondering he was on bench why did he get a promotion. But that is their secret. This pandemic is a worry for a lot of people but for some people it is a boon who wanted time to upgrade themselves. Its is best of the times and worst of the times.

    • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  4 года назад

      Hi Lavesh, First decide what kind of projects you want to do? What kind of companies do you want to work with? Depending on that you pick a technology stack to work with. For e.g. if you want to work with Startups then picking Web Development Framework with Java Script is a good stack. If you want to work with an established company that is working in Java then follow that path. If you want to work on Microsoft Project then choose .NET. In the end, all programming languages do the same thing. They make the computer work for us in a certain manner. Each programming stack has its own advantages and disadvantages. Nowadays people are learning Python because it is useful for future technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Even if you are a telecom engineer and even if you have just basic knowledge of programming. If you want you can become a good software engineer. But you will have to invest time, energy, and money to upgrade your skills. In the 1990s engineers from every field of engineering like civil, chemical, electrical, electronics, or mechanical became software programmers. They learned programming in the companies like TCS or Infosys who used to upskill these engineers or from outside from Institutes like DataPro, Aptech, NIIT, C-Dac or NCST. Now you have all these available online like I have shared here amitpatels.com/resources So if you decide a career path then it will become easy for you to learn new programming skills and become a software engineer. Of course, you need to have some patience. It can take between 6 months to 2 years to be competing with engineers who had the privilege of learning computer science in graduation. What I will do is I will join Telecom and then start learning to program on the side. And when I am ready to switch. That is the best path forward. Who knows you may find opportunities within Telecom to do programming? There no software engineer from CS will be able to beat you. Because learning programming is easy. Learning telecom is not.

    • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  4 года назад

      It depends on how well you give your interviews. During the interview companies decide the calibre of person. If you have done a project that is of industry standard. Like you are showing them how to build a swiggy or zamoto like application then you will easily get 2x where x is average salary about 3.5 L pre COVID. I don't have current data as to what companies are doing now. But if you are a full stack developer and the company thinks you are average full stack developer then you can get a little better than average salary because you know full stack. Try finding a product company where you get more salary.

    • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  4 года назад

      One more thing I forgot to tell you. If you're going into the job market as a fresher then for a moment forget about your salary. Think about getting into a good company where you can learn most. Where you can enhance your skills. If 10 companies are waiting for you with offers in hand and they are ready to raise their salaries so that they can hire you then surely think about salary. But as a fresher think about where will you be able to hone your skills and become better. Once you start using your skills to create something good then salary is a no brainer. It will start increasing even without your thinking. Be so good that companies start fighting to hire you and give you the best salary. I hope that answers your question.

      Since you are in 7th Sem. Make sure whatever project you do as an Intern is a good project. That will make it easier to find a job. First see if your college has campus interviews. Find out which companies are coming. Find out the process these companies are going to follow. If there is written test then study for these tests. Then prepare for interviews. In case you do not get selected for campus then you can use the same process to find companies that are hiring freshers. Find out from your friends and seniors. Ask your professors they may know where their seniors have gone.

Also as I have mentioned certifications work better because they are specific technology. You can check the resources page I have shared on this channel or description. If you get a job where you can apply your skills then within 3 to 6 months. To learn the basics you will need at least three months and then to build expertise three months plus. After that it depends on on how soon you can put it to use.

    I am working in teachnical support engineer from last 3 years but now I wanted to change my career in full stack developer and I have done MSc in physics. Please let me know sir I am eligible for this course will my current experience will be useful and please tell your opinion about guvi full stack developer courses

      To get into any software development role you need to learn software development. You need to start with a programming language and the progress towards advanced concepts. Full Stack Development is also like that you will have to see if you understand full stack development. While anyone can do the course I cannot say whether you will be succeasfull in doing that. Your Technical Support Experience will be useful depending on what you have learned about the software you were supporting and can you take that experience forward in a new role.

    Sir what is different between Full stack developer and Android full stuck developer and which course i study please sir reply

    • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  4 года назад

      Full Stack development can be in Web Development or in Mobile Development. Android Full Stack Development is about building an End to end application on Android Platform. Both are similar in the technology application but different by programming languages, libraries, tools used to build the application. For Web Development you might use Eclipse if you are doing Web Development using Java but for Android development you may use Android SDK. In the same manner you may use different libraries for programming. That is the difference. You can check the Syllabus or Table of Contents of a Course or Book to understand the difference.

      It depends on whether you are good in Programming. Before becoming FSD just become a Web Dev and see if you like programming. Get a certification if you want a job. Come to my Live Session on Thursday we will discuss your path.

    I want to join IT companies. I'm a job less boy. My age is 24 . I have completed diploma in civil engineering after 12 th . Please tell me how can I join IT companies ?which course should I do ? How to do I become a developer?

    • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  3 года назад +1

      There are two ways to join the IT industry. One is to become a Web Developer - In programming becoming a web developer is the easiest path. The second path is to get into non programming field. Like if you do something like Google Support Specialist Course then you can join in Support. Or you do a Manual Testing Course then you can join as a Tester. Either of them you have to pursue. If you come to my live session on Thursday 9:05 PM then I can further explain you how.

      If you have basic programming experience then just go for basic web development. Dont go for Full Stack or MERN. Because unless you understand advanced programming these things will be very difficult for you.

    Sir, please tell about SOAL product engineering program. Should I join it?

    • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  4 года назад

      Any program you look at you have to decide based on your goals. What are the goals you want to achieve? What is the investment you have to make? What is your return on investment? For e.g. if you do a course worth Rs 23,000 to learn Java Programming and from that you get a Job in TCS worth Rs 3,25,000 starting salary. Then it is a good program. But if you do a program worth Rs 2,00,000 and then you get the same job in TCS worth Rs 3,50,000 then you can calculate the return on Investment. Please see that you have too many platforms available at this moment. You can even get a certificate from Stanford and Harvard. So think about your goal first. Then you think about means to achieve your goal. Also if you already have an engineering degree then that is a very big degree. So think about these things and then you decide. I cannot help you make a decision. Also I cannot tell you whether this course is good or not because I am not in touch with this platform or know anyone who has done this course.

    SAP or full stack developer which is better in terms of salary, growth, learning opportunity and job satisfaction, I got SAP in my MNC company but I feel its very boring.

    • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  Год назад +1

      SAP is difficult to learn and will have fewer job opportunities. You may be able to earn more in SAP with experience. But Full Stack Development will have more opportunities. Whether you go with SAP or FSD you income is directly proportional to how much value you can add. So don't worry too much about which technology to go with think which one you like more and what is more easy for you to learn.

      If you are good in programming then Full Stack Development is just an extension of your programming abilities. In future most companies will directly hire Full Stack Developers. The competition in Full Stack Development is less because you need to master a few tools and technologies. Also the salary is higher if you are a proper full stack developer. So yes, why not?

      Generally No - Because there is a lot of supply for entry level positions. So Companies prefer younger candidates who are ready to work for lesser pay. If you are fine with whatever salary they give you then it is possible only if your skills are good. You need to be able to convince the company that you want this job and are ready to do what is required in the job.

    • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  4 года назад +1

      Yes because you already understand web development with PHP. In MEAN - MangoDb, Express, Angular and Node stack you are learning JavaScript Frontend and Backend coding which can help. But you also need to know that PHP is one of the most popular programming languages to build web applications. So decide depending on your current projects.
