After seeing this video I decided I will learn some technology and switch into IT. I choose a different tech stack that is java. And so far I have learnt java and started applying for jobs. A few days back I cracked an interview at TCS for a java developer role and they are offering me 8lpa. My journey started with this video of yours which motivated me that I can also switch even after a long gap of 5 years so credit goes to you as well. I would also like to get few suggestions from you on how to sustain there in my new work life as the role they have offered me is of a developer of 5+ years of experience but I have just learnt the skills I still have a lot to learn in terms of practical exposure.

Otherwise if it's any of those expensive second tier private colleges then ask yourself if you want to enter PSU/Engineering services or not. If not then while completing graduation learn extra softwares too. At any case graduation degree is must in india from any discipline. Be it for private or government jobs. BTech degree has become a joke because students themselves don't study shit and just pass semesters somehow. Then these students get rejected by manufacturing or IT companies and enter bpo/sales jobs.

Otherwise if it's any of those expensive second tier private colleges then ask yourself if you want to enter PSU/Engineering services or not. If not then while completing graduation learn extra softwares too. At any case graduation degree is must in india from any discipline. Be it for private or government jobs. BTech degree has become a joke because students themselves don't study shit and just pass semesters somehow. Then these students get rejected by manufacturing or IT companies and enter bpo/sales jobs.
