My shroud only has one access hole to remove the spring clip on the bottom. Wtf... does anyone else uave this problem? This is ridiculous

I'm sure you've already figured it out already but it's because of a recall that was done with a clockspring. If you bought the jeep used the previous owner probably took it in for the recall, which they then changed the shroud so the holes are in the back. I'm working on it as we speak and it's quickly driving me insane

Youre insane for doing this with the battery connected

GET YOUR DEALER TO DO IT FOR FREE. For 2007-2011 Wranglers, there is a recall on this. Check the two NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V288000 and 13V176000. For 2011-2016 Wranglers see NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V288000. My dealership was going to charge me $1600+ for a new airbag on my 2011 Jeep Wrangler. I had to ask 3 different advisors to have the "technician" check the clockspring first. They finally checked and replaced the clock spring under the recall with no cost to me.

Question where did you get it? Clock spring?

Replaced mine because my horn wasn’t working. Found out someone, probably whoever installed my alarm system broke the wind shield wiper bracket because I didn’t have a screw holding that in. It still works and my horn works now.

Im surprised that you didn't have to disconnect the battery for the airbag. But thank you so much for the video and all of your jeep videos. I have literally dealt with almost every single issue you have had. Your videos have helped me a ton!

No problem. IT’s recommended to disconnect the battery to stay safe.

Hey Donny! Great video! Just installed. This myself with ease!
However, my fog lights/brights do not work anymore after replacing the clockspring. Do you think I may have clipped the light sensor when switching the toggles?

Probably just didn’t plug the harness back in . Gotta go back in and check

@@Donnythelatemodeltech appreciate that! My regular lights work but the dimmer and brights don’t! I’ll check tomorrow! Thanks!
