That off-axis rejection is a real wow factor at that price point. While the singing comparison was spot on the thing that REALLY SOLD IT was the Rammstein reproduction quality. It was as if the room suddenly went dark and I believe I could even see a slight glow emitting when your lips were separated. I suppose I missed the part about the LED projection grill. LOL. So great sounding, well built, dynamic miic with great off axis rejection.... available at a great price.... of course it got the score you gave it. Now I NEED one of these too! Thanks for sharing Bark.
lol love it
Thanks sir
You had me at Du Hast but it got so much more entertaining. I love you, man.
Love back at ya. Did we just become Paul Rudd and Jason Segal?
That ISK doesn't sound bad at all. The CAD is a bit unbalanced tonally, but still sounds good. It's REALLY good-looking for the price.
The singing test caused two of my neighbors to move away. I really liked one of them. She was cute.
Crap….my bad
I have a few of these for live sound, bands at parties. They're awesome. The high boost sounds a little sizzly all by itself but it's there to help cut through dense mixes. For a sparser, more intimate arrangement I'd grab something else - the D89 instrument mic is more natural sounding, and the dirt-cheap D38s (3 for $50!) are somewhere in the middle. Love CAD, my whole live sound mic collection cost less than like 3 sm57s
I got a three pack of the d38s for $29!
The 89 I may have to grab!
@@ObscureMics 89 is my favorite dynamic mic at any price
@zakkacreman well now I have to have one
ISK sounding nice and comfy!!!
Thats a lot of mic for not a lot of $. Thats probably a great option for live sound work on a budget. Wonder how rugged it would be for drunk rock band singers use. The rejection is quite good too. Wow. impressive.
It feels plenty sturdy IMO
@ $120 here in Oz on Amazon. Sounds good.
Daaaaang
A 10!? Being a "Live" (it says CAD Live) microphone I would expect way less handling noise. If I would put this in a singers hand, those handling noises could potentially ruin their performance. For that reason I would go down on BBSAR. Compare this to an SM85 or SM57 and you know what I mean. Especially the SM85 is the king of handling noise. That is why you see it on stages everywhere. But I agree, the mic sounds great if you hold it still or in a boom.
The scoring system is specifically for the things I do….if I were a singer I’d say a 9 due to the slightly higher handling noise. Totally get what you are saying…but it’s still a 10 for me cause of the price/sound
@@ObscureMics I understand where you are coming from and hey, it is your scoring system so do whatever you like! :) And indeed in this was just in a stand/boom. 10 all the time.
Yeah we will all have a little different take... At least we agree it sounds good! Thanks for the back and forth, as sometimes these small debates remind me of some mics I need to check out, like the sm85...which could very well make me regret giving a score of a 10 to another mic lol
@@ObscureMics YW! But more then one mic can get a 10 right?
@@DustinWatts absolutely
While CAD can sometimes swing and miss, lately they seem to be hitting more than missing which is great for all of us budget-conscious consumers. Nice.
Yeah I think overall, I like CAD a lot as a company
OMG Dude!!! That was hilarious!!
Validation!
Mariah Carey очень хорошо получилось!)))))
you should get the rode podcaster and rode procaster and compare them
I may eventually. I’ve done a video on the procaster. The podcaster is ROUGH
@@ObscureMics what do you mean rough cause i want to get it and i have the fifine k688 and it sounds good but people say that the podcaster doesn't sound good
The white usb podcaster…not great sounding
would you say its worth it to get this one over the D27?
100% - this thing is a hidden gem
WOOF
