When I had Windows XP and 7 I had the most neat and tidy file structure ever. Now Windows 10 has made it so I save everything in the documents folder no matter what. That search function is just too good.

I was hooked till the end and was kind of dissapointed that it ended! This was sooo good. Also immediately worked on my desktop cause it was potato quality. Good going Kai.
I did this with my Windows 11 laptop, IT LOOKS SO DOPEEEEEEEEEEE I SUGGEST EVERYONE WITH WIN 11 PC TO USE THIS METHODS, I guarantee you'll be even more sticky to your laptop 😭

@@KaiNotebook I have problems with Windows 11 😭 mostly drivers compatibilities. But if your hardware is new I don't think they're going to be problems

Wallpaper engine and taskbarX, that's what i use along with powertoys. I have my taskbar in the right, it is translucent and centered. My wallpapers are animated, i have 0 icons on it, neither recycle bin. I use powertoys to access my several apps using the keyboard and also use fancy zones to tile them in my two desktops.
Same, I'm using Wallpaper engine, rainmeter, and translucentTB to make my taskbar translucent. I'm going to check out taskbarX now, sounds interesting!
you can also use startallback for classic taskbar, it's very customizable

I really like this video and its tips! Although I would suggest people with slower computers to not use things like Rainmeter as it can eat up some of your resources (aka make your computer slower)
doesnt take up that much resources unless u use widgets that constantly animates and moves like equalizers

Here are some other things I use/do:
I use the startmenu to keep all icons, but don't need to have them on my desktop.
TaskbarX (free) - With it you can make your taskbar transparent or even center all the icons with it.
Wallpaper engine ($4) - Get animated wallpapers that move around.
whenever i try to download taskbarX, their website brings me to some third party site that tells me i have to pay $2 for it on the microsoft store. how'd you get it for free?

I have win 11 and I went for the "minimalist 2 "skin . The folder widget looks useful to me. I cleaned my desktop , changed wallpaper, Etc. It looks a lot cleaner now .

Regarding the star menu, i use it in fullscreen and then add all my apps like an app drawer, all of them in medium size and all icons that arent normal (like spotify or disney+) i change them to look asthetic

Finally a video for my severe OCD thx man
Steps:
1) install some distro and flash it to a usb
2) install it to your pc
3) install some tiling wm
4) emjoy
It's that easy
i use arch btw
You forgot step 5:
install neofetch and auto open the terminal with neofetch
and yes I use arch btw
If you use Rainmeter, you better have one capable system to handle it as well, if you're planning to multi-task.
What I do is just to put all the shortcut into a specific folder, and all I have on my desktop is basically four folder on each corner named after the application category. It's clean, and I can see my wallpaper too. Windows 11 taskbar actually makes this a little bit better, as well.

Ok of all the videos you uploaded , this resonate with me the most . I'm so disorganized and that show on my desktop LOL
I can't just get rid of the taskbar icons, specially when the search bar usually gives me mostly internet searches... But I discovered that most of the shortcuts can get tossed into a single folder on the desktop, and nothing changes function wise
actually, u don't need the search bar or icon to search ur pc, just go to Start or just press the WinKey and start typing, searches will just appear automatically

As an Arch Linux user and Linux ricer myself I can already tell there's too much things that are not right. Such as no custom fonts or themes. Also, you don't even get to get a custom launcher or status bar. Achieving custom themes can actually require patching crucial Windows components and have some risks involved. Such as a messed up theme or worse, no desktop at all.
As a Windows user I can already tell there are no real apps on Linux

I am pretty much new to this rainmeter type of thing and I succeeded to add the Delarge Links one.
But, I found a problem on my stupid ass mind can't figure out how to edit the text to be "F G Y I" just like yours
I have gone to the "edit skin" and simply edit the "Text1=Google" to the "Text1=G", but it doesn't shortened just like yours.
Do you have any tutorial/youtube video so that I can learn by myself how to edit it?
