Calling for advice, then arguing the advice given. Blows my mind
But, but, she is an Olympic level athlete.
🤣🤣🤣
Uncoachable
Some people ain't looking for advice, they're looking for validation.
They missed a GOLDEN opportunity to use the quote "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink from it." 🤣😂
Seriously if his world was operating so well, he wouldn't need to ask anyone for advice lol. He needs to understand his lady isn't making real money and he's buying too much shit, he'll keep going into debt if he doesn't change his poor financial habits and patterns. They know he's not ready to change too with his argumentative tone, as if his wife being an Olympic level athlete bends reality like Thanos using the reality gem lmao. Typical response from someone rejecting reality and expecting others to emotionally fund their bad choices.
Unless she has multiple sponsorship deals, most olympians become forgotten.
"olympic level" doesn't even mean she is in the olympics. Also numbers don't care who someone is. They are broke and she makes no money.
She's married to the horse. You're just her sugar daddy. Good luck. 😂
🤣🤣🤣
I don't see the point why he called if he thinks it's all under control
🤣😂
Never ride a horse chick ~Terrance Popp
"she handles her own finances and won't take from my money" then "I had to finance her a truck"
"she doesn't make any income"
She is playing him right in front of his face and he is foolish not to realize 😂
Yeah, if she needs the truck for the business, then the truck is a business expense. Which means the "business" isn't breaking even.
That's also not getting into whether he bought the truck brand new or whether they got the least expensive viable option.
@steveneptun7580 yeah, but keep in mind, he said they don't file a W2 for her. You have to file a W2 to claim a business expense.
Exactly biggest point of the whole call is they are not working as a team.....he's not budgeting while his wife performs a job that doesn't pay much in general and running a side hustle that makes no money lmao.
As a pro jumper rider, i highly doubt this wife is Olympic level. When you're that high up, you've got clients.
"she handles her own finances and does a really good job"
"She doesnt make any income"
no W-2, hmmm...
Exactly biggest point of the whole call is they are not working as a team.....he's not budgeting while his wife performs a job that doesn't pay much in general and running a side hustle that makes no money lmao.
@@TheSoulCrisis it's not a side hustle it's her only hustle. He said that's her full time gig but he also said she makes zero revenue. Man's an idiot
😂honestly we all know one
As someone in the horse world, here is something that was always taught to me. "To become a millionaire with horses you have to start out as a billionaire." It's NOT an industry with high value EXCEPT for the 1% and even then it's expensive and barely any margin. At ANY moment your horse could colic or you could fall and it's your last ride. This industry is majority hobbyist and as much as I love how passionate he is about his wife's athletic abilities, he needs to understand that even if she's covering her "expenses" she's not and they are going to bleed money from some part of the sport.
Exactly she's living a lifestyle they can't afford given that she clearly isn't making enough money from whatever sports competitions she takes part in and her "business" is only a hobby in profit terms. He needs to make a lot more money to fund this lifestyle or they need to strategically work as a team.
Is “Olympic level athlete” the same as “olympian?” He said that very strategically…like “she could go to the Olympics if she wanted to” but she hasnt actually been there. 😂
I'm with you. Sounds like he just has a lot of pride in saying she's an Olympic level athlete. Too bad Dave didn't take this call. He would have shut him down pretty quickly after asking for help and fighting the advice.
Damn that's a good catch!! LMAO it could essentially mean "she identifies as an Olympian." 🤣
@@bluecollardiyer7248 Dave would have said "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink from it." 🤣😂
It's not the same, but "olympic level" is typically referring to the level of skill. Someone who's really good at basketball for example, could be referred to as a "professional level" basketball player, even if they're not in the NBA.
Weird call. Wouldn't listen. Insists his wife's hobby/passion is a job. Insists she is self-sufficient when he bought her a van (and who knows what else). She travels around and earns no money while he pays the bills. A pretty sweet set-up - for her.
Anything with horses or motorsports consume money in outrageous amounts. Even something simple as go-carts can cost a lot when you add in the travel and towing.
She is riding other horses on the side. 😂

@@lionheart93 that is not a guarantee at all. There are a LOT of Olympic-level equestrian riders and athletes in general.... yet only a small number of them even qualify. And even then, sponsorships aren't a guarantee.
Or rather, the caller and their wife are banking on a bunch of unknowns, while the latter is running a business that basically makes no money.
If the guy can get his finances in order and is willing to float his wife's business, so be it. He won't accept that his wife's business isn't part of the problem, but if you're helping put money into a business and either 1) it loses money and 2) business owner pulls no income while breaking even.... it's not JUST the caller being the spender.

So build up an emergency fund and keep it there so you can the truck blowing up or HVAC going out without going back into debt. Nathan, in the vanishingly unlikely case you see this: create a budget that covers all of your living expenses and desired saving/investing goals. Then have the money earmarked for saving and investing automatically transferred to a separate institution that'll keep that money out of sight and out of mind on a day-to-day basis and make it harder/slower to access. You can keep a much smaller savings account on hand at your primary bank that you can use and rapidly replenish if necessary.
