This is the guy you want to have around if there ever is a zombie apocalypse. Handy, and softly spoken (which is important when there are zombies around).
Thanks for keeping your appliances running as long as possible. Too many people would rather just buy a new vehicle after so many years. Clean your tip more often and add fresh solder sooner, before original solder liquifies, it will help heat transfer and therefore stress circuit board less. Nice video, btw!
On the Volvo 240, if it doesn’t start, 9 times out of 10, it’s always the fuel pump relay. I should note that lead free solder forms little whiskers over time and it can cause shorts. Lead solder doesn’t do that but due to the toxicity of lead, it’s no longer used.
I have done so much work on my 2001 Honda, nothing terribly intensive, just a bunch of little time consuming things. The most obnoxious one was the brake pedal has a little rubber or plastic disc that presses UP on the brake lights to keep them off, weird design choice. It made my battery die since the brake lights were on over night.
I have experienced that. Most recently on my other Accord. Luckily those are the same rubber disc that steel office door frames use that keep the heavy wooden doors from slamming too hard.
