Ado Sings 24-25 songs in her marathon live concert while having travel around the World with exhausting energy, while she screaming, dancing, jumping, and all other stuff, yet she still doing those in her 24th song with a great voice and condition
Chris thank you so much! I don't sing but Voice Act instead (sometimes character stuff, other times lengthy voice overs) and your videos have helped a lot! Like many others in the comments, this video seems to have found me at the right time, because when I do lengthy voice overs, I find my voice getting tired sooner than I'd like. So, while watching the video and as you explained your methods I had a realization, and I said to myself, "I'm already doing that!" HOWEVER, I wasn't really paying attention to it/unaware of how to use it - and now that you've pointed it out, I'm seeing results immediately! Thanks again!
just got thru it. beautiful exercise! very cool concept to add to my toolbox and switching intensities also help me discover some interesting placements. another great one chris! have a beautiful day
Thanks, Chris. I met you through your video with Will Ramos. I am a deathcore singer, and this is very helpful because I always get tired at the end of songs. I keep the same level of energy throughout the whole song, and that is not good for my voice and stamina. I'll practice this exercise! Thanks a lot.
I really need to learn your breath support technique. Got too much separation between all grit voicings, and not enough blending. Basically I need to learn to sing better 😂 cause I'm getting too much texture and loose the pitch. Love your work Chris, please don't ever stop! I appreciate you immensely ❤
Literally Googling stuff yesterday about this, as I tend to be able to absolutely smash it for the first 10-15 minutes but then I get more and more tired and I can't hold notes in chest/mixed voice after that... then I get the email to this video! Thanks Chris 🙂🙂
That's interesting. I'll be honest, I've never broken down songs this way. I've always tried to sing whatever fits the song and then work up to that, whatever it happens to be. I'm more of a belter style singer too. Stamina was never an issue for me unless I just haven't been singing regularly as I have for the last few years since COVID. I used to be on a worship team, sing in a band and sing in my car in my morning and evening commutes every single day. Plus I would practice at home for church and the band rehearsals and gigs. That's a lot of singing. So stamina was never something I lacked even into my mid-fifties. I still sing at home though not as loudly or as intensely as I did before unless I'm recording something for an actual vocal take. This will be something I try to keep in mind as I continue singing. Thank you, Chris!
I feel like Chris is physic. He has like a realm he travels to where its connected to learning singers minds and from there he notes down the struggles and makes a vid. Cuz seriously i was just struggling with this and thought about this TODAY.
I've been trying to master "Dead Inside" by Muse and my vocals get all stretched and short and struggle to hit certain high notes. I will definitely give this a go, thanks Chris!
Hi Chris, could you make a video observing Benson Boones ‘Beautiful Things’? Particular his unique mixed vocals in the song. I think you’d be very interested!
This is a must watch for a vocal couch, chriss if you see this i would do anything for your first reaction/breakdown on (voila - emma kok) she 15 YEARS OLD doing a live performance
Good video, sometimes I feel like doing a song live feels better than recording it....can that be because of when recording it, it is more isolated and naked? I feel it should be the other way around...
Would you suggest that i dont use distortion if i have to sing for 3 hours? And just use the 1 and 2 voices? Also should i try and sing more quiet the whole time to last longer?
It’s all about practice and budgeting and how your budget can change over time. You can definitely use distortion but if you don’t sing much you won’t be able to use as much distortion. Over time you can build that stamina into your voice to go in and out of distortion for hours a day!
Seems more like a management system than a building solution, but I do see how it accomplishes the concept at hand. I sing in an early 2000's pop punk cover band, and everything is yelling and Loud / high singing. Going to try this out, but also would like to know how to sing in the level 3 without closing my throat as much. By the end of the song, sometimes I can continue singing it's so tight or fatigued?
This is good time to ask the following: Given that air pressure affects the pitch, how to maintain correct pitch while changing air pressure dynamically?
It’s really a matter of feeling it out and learning to make the right micro adjustments while being attentive to what happens. And record yourself a lot… listening back to the things you notice that you didn’t notice while you were singing!
Also, if you’re supporting correctly, air pressure should have very little to do with pitch! It’s very possible to to learn resonant and placement positions that interact with your airflow changes instead of having pitch be the thing that changes.

I built my stamina up by singing 4 hour gigs.
What is singing gigs?(Sorry to ask such an amateur question😅)
