Doc Ock's line about the "voices in his head" is so chilling. It confirms that the AI had corrupted him and he wasn't truly in control of his actions when he hurt people. This is also the first time he's woken up as himself since his wife was killed. You can see the pain and guilt surging through him as he remembers, but he suppresses it so he can express his gratitude and even offer to help. Alfred Molina knocked it out of the park with his performance here; it's as if the 20 years never went by at all.
I mean if you've seen the original Spiderman 2, Otto DID say the chip was there to make sure that HE is in control of the arms, instead of them controlling him. When he got electrocuted due to the sun incident, the chip was fried. His every decision was influenced by the arms. Honestly the inner child gets chills watching this movie. Also - I think the greatest lowkey moment is seeing Norman go into the Green Goblin. His head lowered, the eyebrows came down, the slightly more serious face. All the ques that show who was in control.
It’s so fascinating watching the scenes with Norman early on and wondering who’s in the drivers seat. We never get any kind of hint, so this very well could be the Goblin playing along to get closer.
Otto Octavius is a scientist through-and-through, with the intended goal of finding a way to solve the worlds' Energy Crisis not for personal fame or glory but for the betterment of mankind.

That actually reminds me of Norman's turn. Revenue was up, costs were down, and the stocks had never been higher. All because of Norman and his running of Oscorp. His reward was being cut out so they could merge with the competition. I feel like, even without the serum, he could have killed them all and I wouldn't have felt the slightest bit bad for them.

This scene pretty much mashed the years 2002, 2004, 2007, 2008, and 2017 into one moment. Otto Octavius talking to MCU Peter while Norman Osborn plays with Tony Stark's mechanical arm. I couldn't have asked for more. Seeing this on opening night was such a treat.
"I could go for a Burrito." That really is incredible...Norman has only been in this Universe for about a day; and back in the Raimi-Verse, he was filthy rich. He was literally brought here - probably from just before the final battle in Spider-Man 1. So the idea that he's willing to eat a cheap microwave burrito, really is surprising. Maybe it's from the realization that in the MCU - he doesn't exist; he has no identity, no resources, his home and his company, and his wealth, don't exist. It's like when he was sneaking the donuts into his pockets, without wanting Tom and Marissa to see. He was ashamed then...but he's so desperate with hunger now, he's not ashamed anymore.
Yeah... or maybe he just likes burritos. Just because he was filthy rich and all, does not mean he always had/took the time to eat expensively. The dude still worked as a scientist, it would be easier to just store microwave burritos in the office fridge. Just saying.

0:46 Osborn and Octavius deserve more screen time together. I was expecting Osborn to say "Come on, Octavius, behave yourself. You are going to make your wife cry if she sees you like this."
This is why I love Spiderman. Just like Batman, he doesn't want to just stop his villains, he wants to save them. Not because he has to or because he thinks they deserve it. But because he can. Like Aunt May said, he has a gift. Not his super strength or Peter tingle. She meant his brilliant mind.

It's pretty hypocritical of Otto to criticize Peter for working in a condominium. He of all people should know that most brilliant scientists start out small. After all, he built a fusion reactor in a studio apartment.

@@TyrantJaeger Plus Otto is incredibly hostile. Or for better terms his arms AI are. They obviously control him so with talk of being fixed the arms would object to the thought of it

When I first saw this in theaters the look on Otto's face when he finally had silence he was so relieved and it made me happy to see that
Octavius really had the redemption arc we didn’t know we needed
Peter's choice of saving everyone was absolutely right but he choosed the wrong person. He should've cured Dr. Osborn first as he's the one who manipulated everyone. But in a way choosing Doc Ock was turned out to be right too as he saved Both Tobey and Andrew from Electro, otherwise he himself would've a big obstacle to handle. But poor Aunt may had to pay the price for this virtuous act.
At this point only Doc Ock was still a villain, the rest were not causing any problems.

The Green Goblin.
Tobey’s Peter: Pizza time.
Norman Osborn: Burrito time.
I'm happy he tried to make them all healthy, and kept his word at the end.
"I could go for a burrito" lmao
1:24 the original plans for the Arc Reactor on a board behind Peter.
0:25 Notice as soon as Max sees into the camera lens, the screen goes blur

Doc Ock: “How can I help?”
Spidey: “Well, we have this time-travelling guy who called himself as Kang the Conqueror…”
I like how Otto immediately after getting better is "how can I help"
Otto Octavius is a scientist through-and-through, with the intended goal of finding a way to solve the worlds' Energy Crisis not for personal fame or glory but for the betterment of mankind.
Good Norman Osborn and Doc Ock were so wholesome to see. Just goes to show us that these 2 actors are phenomenal. Jamie Fox Electro was also so much better in this movie than in Amazing Spiderman 2
The most impressive part of the (clearly) better Electro is that they got him his old, ridiculous comic suit without it looking like trash
@@jonathan45564 And the fact that they had Jamie Foxx with his natural skin instead of the weird blue skin in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. That just looked awful.
It's tragic how genuinely good the villains are when they're not pushed the point where they lose it none of these people seem like bad people that they don't not in the same vein as they crossbones who's clearly just a villain these a tragedies I think that's why Spider-Man's stories are always painful you really don't want to have to see them as villains because you know how they ended up here you know that they were good people once and that fate and Circumstance removed their choices and pushed them to what they became
I respectfully counter your valid point that I actually agree with completely with the lovable dolt known as Rhino.
0:46 Doc Ock: "So this is your plan Peter? Hmm? No lab no facilities? Just performing miracles in a condominium? Hmm? What, you gonna cook us some cures and some frozen burritos in a microwave?"
Osborn: "I could go for a burrito"
Doc Ock: "He's gonna kill us all"
1:35 Doc Ock a few moments later once again: "He's gonna kill us all"🤣🤣🤣
Love Norman being the scientist that he is by looking over Dum-e in the background while Otto is in his rant. And offering Peter a job

Otto Octavius talking to MCU Peter while Norman Osborn plays with Tony Stark's mechanical arm.
I couldn't have asked for more. Seeing this on opening night was such a treat.
It's cool that they brought back these characters with the original actors

"I could go for a Burrito."
That really is incredible...Norman has only been in this Universe for about a day; and back in the Raimi-Verse, he was filthy rich.
It's simply because burritos are great.
Why did you use "Tom" and "Marisa"? 🤷♂️
Did you forget "Peter"s and "May"s, names? 😆
Yeah... or maybe he just likes burritos. Just because he was filthy rich and all, does not mean he always had/took the time to eat expensively. The dude still worked as a scientist, it would be easier to just store microwave burritos in the office fridge. Just saying.
@@d4rksonic474 Also, burritos are great and they have beans therefore they're actually quite nutricious and healthy.

The fact that a villain said that about a hero almost killed me, XD
Everything about this movie as far as villain interactions goes is great.
Batman: I won’t kill you but I don’t have to save you neither.
All of them were not villains actually, they were just science experiment gone wrong.
They comitted villianous acts.
That doesn't make you not a villain. Norman and Otto were villains long before that.

I so enjoyed the conclusion we gave to the villains. It was truly a great chapter of our lives closing on itself.
This is total resemblance to Cobra Kai series, the one with Daniel teams up with the villains Johnny, Chozen and Mike all together after Karate Kid trilogy.
