Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?
300 out of 10
10/10. Bringing Tobey Mcguire back no doubt excited a lot of people
3000 out of 10

I love how they kept that detail about Octavius's mechanicals arm being impervious to heat and magnetism.
Also, the arms' "pupils" changing from red to white when Otto is back in control.
But the web shooters shouldn't be
@@BryanKallooWebbverse Peter had his shooters modified by Gwen the night she died, and maybe MCU Peter’s high tech helps on that matter
@@alejandrobonilla3049 but Andrew's Peter only did that for a one time use. He didn't plan on running into Electro again. Especially since from his perspective he had died
@BryanKalloo they expected to fight electro.
While not shown I expect he realized he would be fighting electro and told the others to magnetize them
My fav scene in this video is when Peter and Otto has a casual chat.
It's quite emotional as the last time Peter saw Otto become a good guy again was mere moments before his death.
And Otto holding the arc reactor, making him realize and relieved that his dream, and by extension him, was not insane, was also very heartwarming.
I wonder what happened after the Arc reactor was taken back to the Maguire verse. Wouldn't that like, revolutionize technology as a whole?
@@dankerbooper Hmm, good point.
Although I'm more interested to see whether Otto becomes an ally of Peter, or at least maintain a good friendship. Just think Doc Ock and Spider-Man fighting together.
@@dankerbooper100% it would've. That kind of technology would revolutionalize our own world. As we saw in Spiderman 2, Otto was tryna make a mini sun (idk I need to learn physics more) and harness energy from that. The arc reactor is endless, clean and sustainable energy, and is able to fit in the palm of one's hand. Kinda puts into perspective how smart Tony and his dad were
@@mexxhan5981Man, this Otto has to become a permanent version of Superior Spiderman or something.
This shows how genius tony stark was as he made such thing in a cave where otto could’ve blowned up whole city
I love that moment between Max and Amazing Spidey. How he's honest with Peter about what he always thought before he knew who he was under the mask. Especially the part where he said "You're from Queens, you help a lot of poor people. I always thought you were black." That part, to me, is a nice nod to what Stan Lee and Steve Ditko had in mind when they came up with Spider-Man, specifically the reason Spidey has a costume that covers all of him. The idea that, to the people of New York, he could be anybody under that mask. He could be Black, or White, or Asian, or Hispanic. And that was a way of telling kids that anybody can be a Hero, because Heroes come in many colors or from many walks of life. Which is why I think Miles and the Spider-Verse movies resonate with so many people.
ruclips.net/video/2CfmAVoLMO0/видео.html
Nice point but just wanna clear up that stan lee said the whole idea of it being anyone under the mask was unintentional. He was no doubt happy that that was the effect of the costume, but it wasn’t wholly part of the plan
@@badatmathhh Oh, right. Thanks.
The redemption arcs for every character, including each of the Spider Mans was the best part of this movie. That and Tom Holland's Spider Man sacrificing his past, essentially his life, for the good of his friends make this one of my favorite Spider Man movies.
He did it to himself. He threatened all of reality becoz he tried to do something he believed was right. He tried to play God and change the fate of someone. Strange was right, in the Grand scale of the Multiverse, these things are supposed to happen and Peter is too immature to realize that. He totally deserves what happened to him👍🏻
@@muinoel3335 Yeah, sure, but the fact that a magic capable of changing history existed, in other words, is one of the things that should happen means then they're supposed to have the right to change history.
@@muinoel3335 dude Peter not getting a happy ending for himself after doing this made me love this movie so much, his first taste of actually being Spider-Man lmfaooo
@@muinoel3335 you know that kinda relates to Miles a bit in across the spiderverse 🤔 with his case being more personal though since it’s his own father
Peter 2, Peter 3 and Dr. Octopus are the only ones out of the 7 Previous Characters from the past Spider-Man Films. Who has truly redeemed themselves the most. And all 3 of them have very good storyline in the film.
I love how smug Octavius looks in this scene when he grabs Max! He’s like “SIKE! I’m on their side! And I’m here to make things right!” It’s such a good turn for his character!
Otto is truly the best character in the whole title movie with a Great Storyline. As for Max his storyline is okay for the most part of this movie!
@@BooBop1987Max just really needed a friend.
He's been alone for so long.
And he also got back at Max for blasting him earlier out of the condo
Jamie Foxx’s reaction to being cured was just sublime. “Goddamn eels” had me rolling
But sadly he did not redeemed himself at the near end point of the movie!
Seeing the three Spider men working together to cure not kill makes me happy. Most movies have the heroes kill the villains, not give the villains a second chance.
But did they have to take a now significant part of their lives and essentially lobotomise Doc Octs tenticle AI to do it the mutants fought so hard so that shit doesn't happen and here and spiderpeople are making it happen
Yes... but one thing not discussed is each of these "cured" villains goes back to their universe knowing Peter Parker is Spiderman.
Spider man never intended their deaths, not all of them anyway.
@@eternallylearning2811 Labotomised? That's a tad extreme. He just replaced Otto's control chip with one that wasn't vulnerable to electric currents.
But they showed it as if Peter doesn't give a f**k abt what others think as long as he thinks he's right. He literally threatened all of reality becoz he wanted to play God and change the fate of someone. He fought and trapped Strange, got his Aunt killed, and erased all evidence of his existence and for what? Because he wanted to play hero and his ideals are the only things he cared abt. Spiderman deserves to have his life screwed because he does it to himself👍🏻
1:29 and 6:11. I got emotional in the movie theater because I didn’t expect to hear the sam rami Spider-Man theme play. My childhood just lit up like a fire in that moment.
5:34 We also got to hear Michael Giacchino’s version of the Amazing Spider Man theme written by James Horner in 2012.

Great Reunion from Spider-Man 2
“You from Queens. You help out a lot of poor people. I just thought you was gonna be Black.” Easily one of the funniest lines from any of these movies
Btw when he said "There's gotta be a Black Spider-Man somewhere out there.", you know it's a reference to Miles Morales' Spider-Man. Pretty cool in my opinion.
It felt forced af and awkward, you have poor Andrew apologizing he wasn’t black, Lmaoo naw man that ain’t it
@@Nikketmzee
I think he was apologizing for disappointing Max, not apologizing for not being black. It was a little forced but a nice nod to Miles Morales as his movie was coming out the following summer
@@shadowofdread7018 I understand but I just thought they could’ve had a better hint of miles in a better way than this, cause I freaking love this movie and even that took me out lol

3:40 I was surprised there for a moment when Dr. Octavis pretends to still be a bad guy. His actor is great at this kind of work.
When he said "they're mine" he wasn't talking to Electro about the Spideys, he was talking to the Spideys about Electro. The old double bluff.
I almost wish after Electro said "I don't need your help" Doc Oc had said something like, yes you do... "Here you go".
@@LaMortDeLaMusique No, he was saying that the Spideys were under his protection.
Never mess up with one of the best characters in the whole title movie. That's for sure!😊
So much of being a leader of sinister six.
I still cant believe this film exists. Its hard to believe that we have all 3 of our Spider-Men all together at once ❤
And all 3 of them have very good storylines in the whole title film!
Otto was not talking only to Parker (Maguire). He was talking to us. 20 years in the making. That's why he said "you're all grown up".
YES!!!!
I always interpreted it that way too
And now I feel old, I saw spiderman 3 in theaters...I have VHS copies of 1 and 2 (official) .... 3 is uh... well I used my VCR for rec. purposes... but I have all 3 on VHS anyways.(Maguire-verse)
i remember seeing spiderman 1 in theaters....shit i HAVE grown up 😅
I watched Tobeys Spiderman almost my entire childhood, and he made me feel old saying, "You're all grown up."
That’s a reach😂😂😂
Me and my best friend (who both saw Spider-Man 2 in theaters when we were 7) saw NWH opening night on Thursday back in December. We both got a little emotional when Doc Ock said “6:22” because it felt like Doc was talking to us. It was like seeing our old childhood friend again!
You’re not the only one here man!!
We’re all getting old and trying to do better. ❤️
Indeed man I was emotional and very exciting too see it was awesome too see the OGs having just a friendly conversation between mentor and student... Love this move 😢😂
It helps that the old music was playing during this scene 🥺😭😭
It is truly one of the best reunion moments in movie history!
I love how they made Strange the irresponsible uncle in the film. It actually fitted great for the movie.
Otto coming in and helping was one of my favorite moments. His story in the OG movies made me sad.
He has the best storyline ever in Marvels History!
I like how Electro still has his star mask from the comics appear, it shows up whenever he shoots a blast, just for a second but it’s there
MCU makes everything better
I like how at 6:48 Andrew starts scolding Strange for not helping Tom like an older brother
1:28 Absolute chills hearing Tobey Spider-Man's theme recreated here and then again with Otto at 6:10.
Responsibility music
What Great Reunion from Spider-Man 2.
Still a pretty good movie. No without its faults, but still pretty good. And doc ock is the best Spider-Man villain personally.
It's freaking outstanding! The only downside I would say is Tobey got underpowered too much. But I love every single Andrew moment, he just nailed it too well. And Tom was also fantastic.
doc is a better nemesis for peter than the gobbo, you cannot change my mind
I'd say Otto is the best Spiderman movie villain and Norman is the most fun.
Anyone else think Doc Ock could potentially be a new hero?
@@chrislecount4801 i believe if he was to ever show up, this doc ock would definitely be on the heroes side.
I love the reunion between Peter and Otto! It’s so sweet! It’s like a father seeing his son after a long time!
You got that right Buddy!
More like a father who sadly went insane for a long time suddenly became lucid and saw his son, he's been stuck in a land so far away that as soon as he returns the first thing he truly see's is his son all grown up, a thing of pure beauty that is
I think it's very out of character for Flint trying to kill his Peter
Right. I mean it felt a bit rushed
I don't understand either. When he first met MCU Peter mistaking him for his own, instead of attacking him like all the other villains, he protected him from Electro and even said "Hey, Peter. It's Flint Marko. You remember?" showing that he was still on good terms with his Peter
He wasn't try to kill Peter, just get the box back. But in that case it doesn't make the sense he was trying to drown Tobey in sand
The movie didn't explain it well enough, but basically at this point Sandman didn't trust anybody and all he cared about was getting the box was going back home as soon as possible.
@@michaelle4031 plus why didn’t he try stopping the other villains when they wanted to destroy the box?
5:50 LOVE HOW AMAZING SPIDER-MAN THEME STARTS
Dock Ock is so cool
One of the best spiderman villains EVER
Out of all of them, I sympathize with him the most. Dude was just trying to give fusion energy to the world and ended up a slave to the robotic arms he attached to himself.
Anti-hero
How wasn't he electrocuted by touching Electro?
@@kalvin187douglas wouldn't call him an anti hero
@@Marvelfanatic3658 I wanna believe he’s a hero. He was an anti-hero in NWH. He didn’t mean to be a villain in Spider-Man 2,he was controlled and manipulated by the robotic tentacles and when he realized that he sacrificed himself.
5:40 I like that "eh" Andrew gives when Electro says he's just a kid like an acknowledgment that in real life he's nearly 40
HE'S WHAT?!
6:12 to 6:33 really touching moment 🥺
Just heart-warming
The only thing this movie really missed the mark on is having Tobey and Andrew interacting more with the other's villains. Like Andrew having a Spider-Man 3 esque quip about the sand or Tobey trying to connect with Andrew's Connors or empathise with Max. It was amazing to see them resolve with Otto and Max tho, great character moments but it feels very safe. Hell, a Tobey vs Goblin brawl was planned and filmed but never made the cut. If they interchanged villains at least once beyond Lizard just grabbing Tobey it would've been nice, but this is still fantastic no matter what and I'm glad we got what we did
Yeah, one of the biggest things I'm wondering is if Raimi Connors ever became the Lizard. Would have been nice for a throwaway line about it. There's also the fact that the name Dr. Strange is "taken" in Tobey's world.
6:39 I love the look when strange realizes there are more peters
I wish that there is a part of the movie where he has fainted for this whole title movie after when he did see the other Peter Parker's. That he doesn't know of yet!

I don't care about Tom and Andrew. Seeing Tobey and Alfred in their respective roles, still having the same student and teacher appreciation for eachother is so heartwarming. Eventhough all of the villains here have their deserved moment of reconciliation with one of the Spideys/Peters, theirs hits the hardest.
I love both of the 2 men as they are!
6:02 that was a nice touch, Dr Oct love so much his unstable reactor only to know Tony Stark completed it with no sweat
This is truly a fish out of water item for him!
Damn electro was very personal with Andrew 😂
I mean he's not wrong for one thing tho, about the universe having black spidey because there's is Miles Morales

I have to admit, Doc Ock fooled even me! I was like "what is he doing?! he's supposed to be cured!" I was convinced he was working against the Spider-Men, but then his sudden turn on Electro and I was like "Ooooh, very clever Octavius!"
I remember watching this scene in theaters and I was thinking to myself; "He's just fooling them so they can cure Electro!"

Funny. Out of all the villains here, electro was probably the biggest threat. I would say goblin, but if all Spidermen jumped him he wouldn't be such an issue
I mean even in the comics Electro probably has the highest power potential of all Spider-man's villians, he's just never really fully explored the limits of what he can do
Well, he was powered up by the arc reactor. At that point pretty much only something immune to electricity, like Doc Ock's arms, could stop him.
But I think he would lose to Sandman. Because his body is non-conductor and can’t be kill easily. He can turn to sandstorm to not to be target by Electro.

Love the quiet Elfman theme at 1:30.
Hearing the theme from the first Spider-Man gives me thrills I can't explain.
It’s a small detail but they use the original sinister Doc Ock theme throughout the movie just like spider-man 2. But when Otto saves them from electro it uses his Hero theme from Spider-Man 2 when he and peter agreed to destroy the machine.
And did you also know that Otto is one of the best fish out of water characters of all time! Who is trying to learn about the MCU for a short period of time!
The interaction with Otto and Peter always makes me cry cause in the 96 series he was Peter's mentors
And also like a Father and Son!

I'm not crazy. I'm fine you just messed up.
Imagine if, after Max lamented about not being seen, Peter 3 told him, "But you're my eyes and ears." That would've been a pretty cool reference to TASM2.

Andrew's Spider-Man captures pretty well Spider-Man's humanity. They might be supervillians and they might spend most of their time trying to kill him but Spidey does genuinely care about them and will try his best to help them if he's able and they'll let him.
I still find it humorously in-character that Max is still a fan of Spiderman, and is let down that his favorite hero isn't black.
Then gets everyone's hopes up that Sony would do a Miles Morales live-action.

I think this is the devs using our nostalgia from the characters to talk to us from the characters themselves…
What I mean is
They are talking as it we, the viewers, are Tobey. And Tobey is just responding how we would to him.

Max, you have no idea how right you are.
Otto has such a beautiful smile 😭
Yeah he sure does! But also he is the only characters out of the 5 Villains who did redeem himself the most!
Not Andrew and Tobey being ready to throw hands with Strange 😭
I get into deep conversations with people when I point out that No Way Home revised the events of the first five Spiderman films. So, most of what was in that film quintet has been changed significantly. Some of it happened the same, happened differently, or didn’t happen at all.
The five spider villains and the veteran spider heroes were taken from particular time stamps.
-Green Goblin: After Thanksgiving dinner, but before the final battle in Spider-Man 1
-Doctor Octopus: He had a spider man by the throat in Spider-Man 2
-Sandman: Post Spider-Man 3
-Lizard: Between his second and fourth encounter with Spider-Man in Amazing Spider-Man 1
-Electro: The moment he was about to overload at the power plant in Amazing Spider-Man 2
-Tobey Spider-Man: Post Spiderman 3
-Andrew Spider-Man: Post Amazing SpiderMan 2
It was repeatedly specified that if the contained spell were released correctly, the five villains (and the two older Spidermen) would get sent back to the respective timestamps of their original realities. But before that happened, Spider Trio, Ned, and MJ helped cure the sinister six members before sending them home, giving them a second chance at life. So if the cured spider rogues returned to their designated time stamps, then events after those slots in time were changed.
We fans don't yet know what particular changes were made, as it is up for speculation. Fellow fans reminded me of the branch reality concept that the ancient one mentioned to Hulk in Avengers Endgame. But that was regarding time travel, not the spontaneous dimension hopping that unfolded in No Way Home. So until the release of Avengers: Secret Wars, the potential Spider-Man 4 and Amazing Spider-Man 3, or confirmation from Marvel and Sony directors, let’s hold our breath and not overthink it.
Now imagine being the writers of this movie, probably forced to watch all 5 past Spiderman movies of emotional roller coasters, just to make ONE movie.
They managed to make us feel like we’re watching those emotional moments in one movie 😭
0:25 Dr connors: hello Pete- wait what happened to your mask’s orange eyes?
